I chose Golden Eagle based on the very knowledgeable expertise of the estimator (Christian), who also stayed involved with the job through completion to ensure the work was done correctly and consistently with the bid. I also appreciated how they calibrated the bid to include only what I was interested in having done, which went a long way in my choosing them over their competitors. The installers showed up on time each day until completion and did a good job cleaning up after themselves and protecting my floor from entryway to the utility room. Attention to detail was outstanding and included them addressing some minor concerns I brought up during the installation process. They were very professional and did a quality job at a fair price. The guys clearly took a lot of pride in their work and doing things right, even when that meant a little extra time and effort. 3 Years ago we purchased a dual unit mini split unit from PSI. We wanted a Mitsubishi unit but they…read morewere out of stock and at their suggestion we bought a Tosot system. The installers did not accurately measure the clearance and I watched them try to drill through structural support for the roof until they finally found a way to route the line into the unit. One of the installers fell off his ladder and dmaged the woodwork near the unit. They were not careful when moving some of the furniture and cause a rip in the carpet. They did not run the lins and line-hide where we had requested. They blamed that on a code that does not exist. The electrical installation took 3 times as long and was twice as expensive as proposed. Just before installation, it was discovred that they had delivered and were going to use an outside unit of lesser capacity than we had paid for.They did not compensate for the pump required in the system when they wired it so a failure happened immediately until they figured out that the installer had mis-wired the unit. After the unit was installed, it was so dirty from the installers grimy hands that it was dented while trying to clean it. Then, the unit leaked causing wall damage, floor damage and damage to framed artwork as well as ceiling damage to the lower floor. They came out to repair the unit and pulled the line hide off the wall without draining it and spilled fluid on a one day old patio and denied they did it until I showed them a video. They came out to clean the patio and used a caustic substance that to this day causes foam on the patio when it is cleaned. At the time, it killed the grass that had just been resodded and also damaged a tree. Now one of the units has stopped cooling again. They came out and said that it needed refrigerant because of an apparent leak that they could not find on that trip. They added some, but did not carry enough in their truck to finish the job. They said that they would come back, and did, but unannounced and did not finish the job on that vist. I just called them to come finish the job and get the unit cooling. They told me that to set up the appointment there would be a $150 diagnostic fee! There is new ownership since that time, but it doesn't look like it has gotten better.

Someone came and told me I needed a…read moreheat exchanger but said I would need a new furnace because it was too old and there were no parts available. This would cost me $15,000 to $20,000. Then another person came out from R & H to look at replacing the furnace and decided it was too dangerous to remove this outdoor furnace in the winter. Suddenly they found two heat exchangers available from the manufacturer and this would cost me $5,000 ish. This did not smell right to me so I didn't move forward. Then I received a bill for almost $500. There is no indication on their website nor verbally was I told of their charging for an inspection. I thought ithe charge was egregious. I will not pay the bill. Please read other YELP reviews and you will see experiences similar to mine.
