3 Years ago we purchased a dual unit mini split unit from PSI. We wanted a Mitsubishi unit but they were out of stock and at their suggestion we bought a Tosot system. The installers did not accurately measure the clearance and I watched them try to drill through structural support for the roof until they finally found a way to route the line into the unit. One of the installers fell off his ladder and dmaged the woodwork near the unit. They were not careful when moving some of the furniture and cause a rip in the carpet. They did not run the lins and line-hide where we had requested. They blamed that on a code that does not exist. The electrical installation took 3 times as long and was twice as expensive as proposed. Just before installation, it was discovred that they had delivered and were going to use an outside unit of lesser capacity than we had paid for.They did not compensate for the pump required in the system when they wired it so a failure happened immediately until they figured out that the installer had mis-wired the unit. After the unit was installed, it was so dirty from the installers grimy hands that it was dented while trying to clean it. Then, the unit leaked causing wall damage, floor damage and damage to framed artwork as well as ceiling damage to the lower floor. They came out to repair the unit and pulled the line hide off the wall without draining it and spilled fluid on a one day old patio and denied they did it until I showed them a video. They came out to clean the patio and used a caustic substance that to this day causes foam on the patio when it is cleaned. At the time, it killed the grass that had just been resodded and also damaged a tree. Now one of the units has stopped cooling again. They came out and said that it needed refrigerant because of an apparent leak that they could not find on that trip. They added some, but did not carry enough in their truck to finish the job. They said that they would come back, and did, but unannounced and did not finish the job on that vist. I just called them to come finish the job and get the unit cooling. They told me that to set up the appointment there would be a $150 diagnostic fee! There is new ownership since that time, but it doesn't look like it has gotten better. read more

Ok where to start. I had a leak under kitchen sink was told I needed a new Faucet. I purchased a faucet and higher another plumber because PSI IS OVER PRICED. It turned out I did not need a faucet. A few months ago I sold my house. The individual buying my house was a PSI employee. He did his own inspection of the drain system. He said it had a break in the line and wanted 40 thousand dollars off the price to repair it. I have been an HVAC tech for over ten years so I have learned a thing or two. He would only give us pictures and no video. On that note I could still tell it was a fernco that he was talking about. I had another company come check it. They said it was totally fine. When things go wrong with customer service, and they sometimes do, there are company management teams that do nothing and others who move mountains to make things right. Such was my experiencing escalating a customer service issue with PSI. I could not be more pleased with the response I received from management once they were made aware of an issue involving the timeliness of response from a technician on the crew. Although my repair work has not been completed yet, I have a great deal of confidence that my project is receiving the attention it deserves and also appreciate the access I've been given to the management team if, in the event, I ever want to discuss a technical or service related issue. read more

Update: 12/28/2020- they sent us an invoice. I called the main line and requested someone call me back to discuss. No one has called and they charged my credit card today. Terrible customer service! After 3+ weeks of trying to get a toilet installed including no-shows for appointments and numerous excuses, we are going to the next plumber. I cannot recommend this company. We called one week ahead and booked an appointment with this company. They told us that they would be at our house between 10 - 1pm. We waited...and when it got to 2pm, we thought, well, we better call again. So we did. We were told that the person who was supposed to come to our home had an emergency and that they were very sorry. They said that he would now arrive between 3 and 5pm. He did not arrive at all nor did he call, nor did the office call to explain what happened. So we tried calling and of course got the after-hours message explaining that if we called them, it would be XXXmore expensive. We sent an email and got a phone call the following morning...guess what we did? Hired a different plumber and he's doing the work now. Why bother with a business that can't even pick up the phone to tell you that they'll be late or not even bother to show up? read more

PSI has seriously upped their game. Everyone i spoke with with was professional And prompt to return phone calls. I had three different service people come to my home, for different reasons. Each called ahead to tell me they were on their way, showed up on time or early and was fantastic at solving the "situations." We were EXTREMELY pleased and would higlou recommend them to anyone with a plumbing problem. Below average and overpriced. I had a 2 hour window for the plumbers to arrive and they didn't show up until an hour after the arrival window and I had to cancel meetings to accommodate them. When I explained the shower pressure problem, their reaction was 'it seems fine to me' (it's not fine.....the shower is either scalding hot with good pressure, or a good temperature and the pressure is reduced to a dribble). They said replacing the shower cartridges would fix the problem and took photos and that they'd order the parts. I called 2 weeks later to see what was going on and there were no part orders or notes in their system at all and nothing had been done. At this point they'd been late, charged me over $300 for a simple toilet valve replacement and failed to follow up on parts ordered so I cut my losses and went elsewhere for the rest of the job. read more

They billed me almost $300 for a very simple sink clog. They also charged me $350 to change my faucet- it took 1/2 an hour. They are good plumbers ( although the guy I really liked has left the company) but they rip your face off on billings. Will be looking for new plumbers. read more

I used this company several times. Each time they bill me for more hours than onsite. This is not a trustworthy company on billing nor repair. They have never fixed anything on the first visit then they bill u a second time to come fix their mistakes. read more

PSI recently installed a new water heater in my home and also brought the plumbing up to code in our guest bath. They did a fantastic job, cleaned up their mess when they were done and made sure to communicate any issues they came across that might change the final invoice. The office is responsive when you call and I received my invoice in a very timely manner which is important to me as I like to pay bills as quickly as possible. read more

The plumbers themselves were great, but the billing was a bit of bait and switch. My wife was told it was a $100/hr rate for the work, but when the bill showed, some was at the aforementioned rate, but there was a flat fee for replacing the pressure release valve that was not covered by that disclosure. My advice would be to get EVERYTHING documented and detailed before letting them start. read more

Called them around 4:30 pm for a plumbing issue. was given the option of coming that night for an after hours rate or the next day between 2:00 & 4:00. They called and asked if they could come earlier. Had the issue fixed by noon. Rare speedy service in the valley these days. read more

Update to last post. Within a few hours of posting my review, I received a phone call from management admitting and apologizing for the initial miscommunication in scheduling and lack of followup. They immediately put me on the schedule for the next day to address my plumbing needs. Additionally, they extended a gift card as an token of their sincerity in customer satisfaction. I will continue to use/refer this company for plumbing services. read more

Called PSI to fix a problem with a noise on our boiler. They charged us a $125 service call and gave us an estimate to service/clean and repair boiler-service charge not applied to work. They replaced the part, but didn't fix the noise. They came back to see if they could fix it-found another issue that wasn't diagnosed initially or found during servicing? And charged us another service call fee! Said they fixed it, but we noticed the boiler was running continuously-so called them to come back to look again and found that someone had left a clip in the boiler causing it to remain on- and guess what-another broken part and another service fee!! They finally seem to have fixed things, but after they left last time they set our water heater to 100 degrees so we had no hot water! They are staffed by young plumbers who do not have enough training or experience and the billing is a crime. Recommend you avoid at all costs. read more

We purchased a top of the line tankless hot water heater through a different plumber 13 months ago. It has never been able to run more than 1 faucet of hot water at a time. That plumber thought it was the gas line but after months of troubleshooting was never able to figure out the issue and just gave up (didn't come back). At one point the gas insurance company sent out another large plumbing company who wanted to pump a lot more gas into the house and put regulators on every appliance at a cost of $6000. Eventually a friend introduced us to Jim who even at a very busy time of the year managed to send out Brandon whose first step was to call the hot water heater manufacturer and trouble shoot with them. The manufacturer sent out a new part which Brandon came back to install the next day. After 13 long months and a relatively short 2 visits from PSI we can now run multiple faucets of hot water and showers don't go cold when someone else accidentally forgets and turns on hot water to was their hands. I don't even know where to begin. First of all, our water heater went out on us on December 23rd. Being that it was around the holidays, we knew that it would be a pricey fix, we just didn't expect to be treated the way that we were. We called PSI, got a quote of $1800, and agreed to move forward. The guys that came and did the job were professional and courteous, however at the time of installation they let us know that our original quote that we were given could increase upwards of $1000. We continued the service, as we didn't really have much of a choice in the matter. No paperwork was provided to us at the end of the installation, and at that time we were told the new price would be $2800. With that huge of a price increase, we started doing a little research. In order for the warranty on the water heater to actually be honored, we needed an itemized copy of the bill. So we did what any normal consumer would do- we called the company and asked for one. What we got in return was an extremely angry, unprofessional owner on the phone, Jim Harper, who proceeded to swear at and call my husband names- all because we asked for an itemized copy of the bill. We were told that this company never gives itemized copies of bills, and apparently we were way out of line for asking for one. This seemed extremely shady to us- what exactly were we paying for? After many more rude interactions with their accountant, who must have taken customer service advice from her boss, we received their version of an itemized copy, which read as follows, "Water heater- $1800, labor $1000." Nothing was broken down for us, and we still haven't heard back from this company when asked for this to be broken down into further detail. We were also told by the owner that his word should be good enough for us, that we live in a small valley- well guess what, we do live in a small valley and the way we were treated was despicable- we will be sure to share our absolutely horrible experience with as many locals as possible. read more
