My ribs were bruised and fractured and I had several surgeries implanting plates and screws onto my bones, put on long-term narcotic pain management, went flat broke, couldn't even pass testing to resume work as a Pipefitter Welder. Contracted with Hughes & Coleman PLLC, and their attorney wouldn't file a complaint for the hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage this drunken driver -- who didn't even get a ticket -- inflicted upin me. Instead, their attorney settled with my UIM and created an estopple to further litigation, but they didn't stop there, they contracted with an outside attorney to file a stale Complaint. Even Judge Ward commented on the malpractice. I have since had to file a civil legal malpractice complaint, which they did not answer, and have contracted with some other outside attorney to motion for an expansion of time after the 20-day deadline for answering had passed. My advice would be to retain a malpractice attorney before seeking their personal injury services. Oh, the hospital bill was over $120k. So far not one dime! Sincerely, Jesse Lewis. Ruined! She called back and informed me that Mr. Jenkins would accept our case, then asked my domestic partner and myself to come in that following Monday to sign our contract. (2) I informed them the need of a sign language interpreter, Ms. Jones contacted Sign Language Network of Kentucky and learned that there would be a cost. (3) Ms. Jones contacted us back and asked me if I would bring in my domestic partner with me to interpret. I said no since it was a legal matter and Kentucky has a licensure law plus it was required under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Apparently, that hiring an interpreter was a problem. (4) A few days later, we received a letter from Jenkins Law Firm that he was dropping us as a client and encouraged us to seek another attorney. Mr. Jenkins VIOLATED the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by wielding his legal powers to avoid to hire a sign language interpreter. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT CATER TO BUSINESSES THAT DISCRIMINATE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.
