As someone who had the pleasure to visit the old Baldinger's food from all nations before it was torn down, and then this new one was built here in Zelienople, I'm so glad they continued on. While it's not the exact ambiance of the 1930's like the old shop where they still used an old fashioned cash register, they did a pretty good job recreating the authentic throwback feel in this newer location. It's a super fun place to bring kids and visiting adults alike. The candy that you see will bring you back to your childhood and you can collect a basket at the door and fill it to the brim with all of your favorites. Not to mention they have all of your baking needs covered as well. And there is a baking supply section downstairs. There is also a PA Winery attached to their building. I highly recommend stopping, if not to get supplies for all your favorite holidays, then just to visit and embrace the nostalgia of yesteryear & the days of penny candy. The staff is always super friendly! There is parking around the back because it can get tight parking in the front along route 19 & the shop is in a white building just as you're about to enter the main part of Zelienople.

I'm told this used to be an old-school candy place in a different location. Now it just feels like a spot to get junky candy. The banner outside proclaims "Food from all nations", but I spotted little that could be credibly called non-American (apart from the stuff that might be made in China). They do helpfully list all the ingredients, and much of the liquorice proved to be vegan, so I spent a whole dollar. Unfortunately, it proved to be chewy and had a nasty taste. Not for me, sorry.

I've always loved Baldinger's. Been going there for years and years. Anyone who has ever driven by the old location marveled at the "Food from All Nations" sign above their massive store, complete with little old ladies counting out your candy by hand, giving you brown paper bags like you're a little kid....Oh yeah. It was a roadside pleasure palace for anyone with a sweet tooth. Plus it was a step back in time for all us "kids" of advanced age. Sigh... When they closed down and moved to a smaller location much of the charm was lost. The old manual cash register, the little wooden trays where you could collect your penny candy, the incredible grandmothers who were happy to help and greeted you like the kid they knew you were deep inside - all gone. Sad. But, there is good news. Yep, despite the smaller location and the increased costs ($1 for a candy bar and no such thing as penny candy anymore), it still is a wonderland. A magical place where most of your sweet fantasies can be fulfilled. Candy-wise that is. Sure, you can grab gummies by the pound, tooth breaking candy and filling pullers - all still there. I don't indulge in those myself. I'm more drawn to the Chunky's and the Skybars. And Baldinger's is the ONLY place that consistently has those on the shelf! So, yeah, it's not the same. But it's so worth going. Take the trip. Fill up a bag or two.... But save me the Chunky.

So many different shapes of cookie cutters!

Huge variety of "penny" candy by the pound. Nostalgic items, classics and some international items. Worth a visit, just north of Cranberry,

I loved the creativity - from smores to emojis, to candy trays and peanut butter cups, there is something for everyone! Candy, candy, candy!…read more I think it's great when a town has a place that makes their own sweets. But that's not all they do here. They are a fully functioning candy store. Set up kind of like one of those in a mall, but better. Of course I had myself a bag and filled it with all the essential candy one may chew on. Sour patch kids, chewy Sprees, gummy worms, Swedish fish, and the list goes on and on. They also have packages of candy too. No need to mix and match if that's not your thing. They make their own chocolates, and the display case inside was filled with very delightful items. I was tempted to ask for one of each, but I was able to keep myself in check. There are already packaged chocolates so you can just grab and go. If you want a certain mix of chocolates they are more than happy to oblige.

They have a huge selection of chocolate based (and some non-chocolate) based candies. They also have a ton of sugar free options which is great for those watching their sugar. I was a little disappointed that the kind girls working behind the counter couldn't explain what some of the candies were, but they did offer to let me try one which made up for it some. We also tried a box of their chocolate covered strawberries, but were a bit disappointed as they were a little sour and not very good. However the other chocolates we got were amazing and worth returning!

My husband and I shopped here one time. When we entered the store, an employee immediately and kindly greeted us. Examples of candies were Jelly Belly, SweetTarts, Raisinets, Laffy Taffy, Dweebs, BottleCaps, Nestle Aero, and a display case of a few dozen flavors of chocolates. Furthermore, a wall had a candy buffet from which customers could fill up a box with up to several dozen flavors of candies for $5. Countless flavors of bottled sodas were on the shelves. For gifts we saw toys (e.g., wooden flower puzzles and trucks), clothing such as socks, candles, etcetera. We felt most interested in the candies. This store offered many but not all of our favorite gummy, hard, sweet, sour, and chocolate candies. The prices were typical.
