As a parent, you invest time, effort, and hope into the application process, so receiving a rejection without any meaningful feedback feels dismissive and unprofessional. I understand that private schools can be selective, but clear communication and basic courtesy should still be part of the process. Even a general explanation or guidance would have shown respect for families going through admissions. Based on this experience, I would caution other parents to be prepared for limited communication and to consider whether this aligns with the level of support and openness they expect from a school community.

The classrooms are huge and spacious, the teachers GENUINELY care for the kids they care for, and they spend time doing activities that challenge their brain. This is such an awesome thing for babysitting too, and it's a great price for all of the cool things they do all day. Because the classes at Oak Arbor are so small, it gives the students wonderful opportunities, and gives them a chance to form very close relationships with each other and with the teachers. The individual attention that each student gets from the teachers provides an excellent education for each student and their particular learning needs. My personal experience at Oak Arbor was the best childhood I could have asked for. Oak Arbor provided me with the best friends that I still have now, and with the foundation of my beliefs.

Lake Orion schools are a joke! About a month ago a TEACHER from a lake Orion school put their hands…read moreon my child. I reported her to the principal of that school, that person did absolutely nothing and tried to justify why a teacher would put their hands on a child. Sense that didn't get me any where I reported it to the superintendents office, I was on the phone with them for over an hour expressing how upset I was over the issues and fully expected something to be done about these issues. fast forward 2 weeks i get a call from a counselor from the school who PRETENDED to care and pretended to act like she was going to implement a communication thread between my child's teacher her and my self. Which shocker didn't happen, I received 2 emails from his teacher one on April 2nd and the other April 3rd which BOTH said he was doing better and doing well in class. After that not a word from anyone, not his teacher, not the counselor or the principal, The communication from this school is horrid! Not only did all that happened the Same teacher FALSIFIED a CPS report saying she witnessed me HIT my child, let me get 2 things clear i do NOT use physical punishments not only so NOT slap my child I DONT EVEN SPANK MY CHILD, THIS is RETALIATION to me reporting their school!!!!!!!!!! which I showed proof of to the case worker i spoke with!!!! with that being said if you can please avoid sending your children to this school.
