Got homeowners insurance through this agency. Told the agent that the roof on the house needed to…read morebe replaced and agent said I would get a reduction on the insurance premium once roof was replaced. Agency then sent "inspector" to premises unannounced, only did an exterior "inspection" and then claimed the roof didn't pass inspection (although the house was already inspected for the mortgage and passed, and even came in slightly more than the selling price on the valuation). Insurance company's "inspector" also claimed a crack in the side of the chimney indicated foundation problems. No foundation problems were noted in the inspection done by the inspector for the financing. So now these jokers (Allstate) are going to cancel my policy, causing harm to me and my standing to get (good) insurance because of their incompetent and unprofessional "inspection". All this harm to me the consumer based on a problem this agency was told about before they issued the policy (the roof) (and the roof has since been replaced), and a non-existent "problem" (foundation) alleged by their incompetent (and trespassing) inspector. Do NOT go with this agency! UPDATE: Got Allstate's cancellation letter in the mail today. In spite of the fact that the insurance agent was notified in the morning on December 30 that the entire roof had been replaced, later that same day Allstate sent a letter claiming the roof had "granular loss." I will be filing a complaint with the Georgia State Insurance office to document Allstate's falsehoods. I will also be notifying my bank regarding the lie in Allstate's letter. Also, the letter claimed my "chimney is cracking." Rather different from Allstate's original allegation that there were foundation problems. UPDATE: I replaced the Allstate insurance with a different insurance company on January 5, 2016. In spite of having been notified of this, Allstate continues to claim they "cancelled" my insurance (thus causing me harm) on January 20, 2016. Allstate first sent me a "collections notice" (causing me further harm) claiming I owed them money for the period of November 2015 through January 20, 2016. This was in spite of the fact that Allstate received an entire YEAR of insurance premium at closing! Allstate has in my records that it lodged a "collection attempt" which is another falsehood on the part of Allstate and causes me further harm. Then, after all these falsehoods, Allstate sent me a partial refund of the money it received, but has illegally withheld money for the period after it was replaced by another insurance company. So, not only does Allstate lie, but Allstate also steals people's money. Run away, run away. As for the review that was posted in February: Please. How long have you been employed by Allstate?
