I'm late writing this post and it is well-deserved. One day, for no apparent reason my laptop decided that it was finished working. I was completely unprepared as to the cause of its demise. While I was able to replace it, honestly I just didn't want to. Like many people, I had most of my life on this computer and while it was fairly backed up, I just hated to part with it. Since it had served me so well, I asked my son to recommend a computer guru and he pointed me Ballards. After a few text messages with the owner, I brought my laptop over and met Marvin. After meeting him, it was obvious that he knew what he was doing. His knowledge and proficiency was easily observable. He explained to me what he could do to fix my computer and give me a few more years of usage before saying goodbye. Within a dayn he fixed it, replacing the hard drive, and recommended needed updates and reunited me with my now super fast HP. I think it works better now than it ever did (even brand new). My husband was sure I'd have to purchase a new one and was surprised when I returned home with this lightning fast laptop...so much so that he asked if I'd bring his over. I decided to use this company to fix my cracked iphone because the many good reviews on the yielp and google reviews. They all gave full stars and after my experience, i will also give full stars cuz the owner is very nice, the service is fast and the price is reasonable. I had a cracked iphone before, and i found a tech store nearby to fix it. however, the experience was very very very awkward and the tech store made me so angry. The rech store in the collage mall couldn't fix iphone 5s but didn't tell me. After they charged me the fees, i found my phone was not fixed well. then i went back to find them, then guess what?! they told me it was my fault! So I chose place carefully this time and found Ballard. the owner is very nice and the price is the lowest quote I got. And he is very fast and efficient! He will let you see how he change the screen and explain why he does in that way. I also use my phone for more than one month then decided to post the recommendation. Thankfully I happened to find Ballard Computes in the time of need after I cracked my iPhone on a Saturday night. I messaged him early Sunday and received an immediate response stating he was out of town but would be able to fix it quickly for me when he returned later that day. Upon arriving, Marvin was personable and knowledgeable along with a clean, cool office. He definitely knew everything to know about iPhones. I was in an out in about 40 minutes. Compared to literally everyone in the Indy area, Ballard Computes has by far the best, most reasonable prices. Not to mention, his work is diligent and quick! My issue...I dropped by IPhone 5S and the screen cracked, & let's not forget before that my little niece lifted my screen with a suction cup (don't ask). Marvin Ballard (the owner) is the only guy I will take my tech gear to in the future to get repaired. Not only does he offer the best rates to repair your device but he truly knows what he is doing. You can go somewhere else and pay almost 2x for someone inexperienced to "figure it out" on your device, or you can take it to Marvin and get back to life asap. My husband has used this repair service a few times and I have just recently had to use them as well. I had dropped my cell phone and cracked the screen like I tried to win a contest for most shards of glass lost. I called Marvin and he let me know I could come in for a repair when it worked with my schedule. He was very nice and clearly very experienced in replacing an iphone 6 screen. I'm the kind of person, convenience is everything. Well, I went off of the reviews here and other places before I chose to try Ballard Computes. I saw several positive reviews. I'm really glad I did. My hard drive crashed and my Dell computer is less than a year old. They replaced the hard drive and told me there was no way to retrieve data from the crashed drive. Ballard not only retrieved the data but installed a new and better drive than Dell did. He also helped me load programs on the new drive. Such a big help! Difficulty powering up built desktop gaming pc. During troubleshooting gained useful information just from chitchatting (believe Marvin asked some leading questions to determine my level of competence, leads me to think Marvin might not get too technical with more novice users - if so I consider this to be a big positive). 30- 45 minutes later he had the pc powered up and ready to install windows. I took my laptop to Marvin, at his home on a Saturday, and he replaced my screen. I watched him do it and learned in the process. He was very reasonable on his price, like $60-$75 cheaper than others. Marvin was just the nicest guy too. I highly recommend his services and will be calling him for all my computer needs. Awesome service! He's super nice and very helpful! I've had him fix my phone twice and he does a great job! He also is a lot cheaper than the Apple Store. They charge 129 no matter the problem to repair and he's around 100 and he fixes it right in front of you! The second time I went back he helped me out and gave me a great deal! Cracked my iPhone screen and found Marvin on here. Went to his office and he had me fixed in 30-45 minutes. Would highly recommend him. He showed me everything he was doing and explained everything out as he was doing it.
