I had a horrid experience with my primary care office trying to get a new IUD placed and this office had immediate availability, which is why I made the switch. I only had my first bad experience this morning when the nurse and myself miscommunicated and she left the exam room frustrated with me. My provider then found it appropriate to suggest that "maybe I need more vitamin D because it can effect women's moods", which insinuated to me that they thought I was "just in a mood" for advocating for my healthcare. Which is too bad, BUT- If that's as bad as it gets it's still excellent healthcare in this town. I would highly suggest this clinic to anyone.

Granted, I am now employed by RCOB/G, and Brandy and I are the new Billing and Coding department. We are continually improving this department and we will continue with the patterns of excellence that this office provides to our patients. To work with these three practitioners and their nurses have been a dream come true, and after working with numerous providers over the years, I am so impressed with the quality of care that this group gives to their patients. The Office Manager, Kari, is absolutely amazing; hands down the best practice manager that I have ever encountered. They go above and beyond anything I have previously witnessed. I am truly blessed to be a part of Rapid City OB/GYN and can't wait for others to get this feeling too! :)

They knew the date of the infusion but still did not schedule the lab in enough time to make that infusion. I had to reschedule even though that is difficult with my job and I needed to get this completed before our insurance restarted to avoid the $500 deductible charge. The nurses were completely unconcerned about this and when I informed them that I would be looking for another Ob/Gyn due to all this added hassle they simply said 'I guess if that's what you want to do. Lack of empathy and concern!

When Isaac and I arrived for the appointment, we were masked up and temperature checked--97.6 reading. We entered an empty lobby (no other customers). The front desk attendant asked if we had any Covid exposures or symptoms. I mentioned I had a sore throat. The nurse then fetched us and brought us to Exam Room 10. We were in the Exam Room and Jenny (RN) entered and immediately informed us we will not be seen today and have to reschedule. In shock, I jokingly asked if I should have lied? All I had was a sore throat with seasonal drainage and a sore voice from yelling Shakespeare for two days. I could have a sore throat for another month or two. We pled our case that we live and work out of town, I do not have any other symptoms, I have never tested positive, Isaac is vaccinated, and we have not seen our nugget's development for sixteen weeks.. She left and later returned with still a hard 'no'. I again asked if the 'CDC protocol' would then advise me to lie. Don't most expectant mothers have many Covid symptoms? Frequent fatigue, vomiting, headaches... We then responded asking for our records per our rights from HIPPA and Board of Nursing. The nurse retorted "I just delivered a 30 weeker who is now in NICU because Mom had Covid and now that baby has pneumonia." She didn't offer me a Covid test or alternative treatment so I could reassure our growing baby was healthy in comparison to this horror story she was trying to excuse me with. Jenny then ushered us to the hallway because I blew up in defense advocating for my unborn baby. Then, two minutes later while we asked for my records, she insists we go BACK into Exam 10, to "limit exposure". What? How is that consistent? Jenny had moved us to three rooms. She was ushering us around and furthering exposure. Later, the manager Ann confirmed our rights to my health records and provided them per our second request. Do not go here if you would like full transparency and an exchange of trust with your healthcare providers.

Jo in the billing department is the worst I have ever experienced. After sending bills to my 13 y.o. daughter at the incorrect address, even after being seen on several occasions and filling out updated paperwork. Our updated information, along with my insurance information was never added into the system. I was sent to collections for bills that were never sent through insurance or that I ever received due to incompetence of the front desk and billing department. After finding out I was sent to collections for these bills I've never received, I still had to call two different occasions to correct account information that was previously provided to them. I asked to speak to administration to which I was told, "we don't have anyone", I was directed to Dr. Hibbs who on two separate occasions would call my phone but when I returned the phone call within a minute the answering machine was turned on or she was "already gone for the day", At no point was I actually able to speak with her directly. The overall theme was, it was my fault their system was not updated, it was my fault they hadn't updated address in over 3 years despite multiple visits, and it was my fault they didn't have the correct insurance information in their system. As someone who works in health care, I could not imagine ever speaking to/treating a patient the way I have been treated with this clinic. At one point Billie/Bobby? Jo stated, "I'm sorry you cant pay your bills" .... referring to bills I have never received as she was sending them to a 13 y.o. child. After the problems we have had between the front desk and billing department, and now lack of professionalism or accountability from "administration", had I have known this privately owned clinic would have worse customer service than a big corporate facility, I would have went with Monument Health initially, as at least Monument Health has standards for how patients are spoken to, along with accurate accounting systems and accountable/educated business office personnel. These are not isolated incidents, since sharing my experience, I have found many people in similar situations, who have been treated with absolute disrespect by the ancillary staff at Creekside Medical.
