DO NOT USE BALLARDS! After waiting THREE WEEKS for installation because of their "mechanical issues," we ended up with a completely different system than what we were promised. We paid for a concrete system with ONE riser and instead got a cheap plastic system with THREE risers. To make matters worse, the tanks had huge bold warnings printed right on the side saying: "DO NOT BACKFILL WITH CLAY." Guess what Ballards used to backfill them? CLAY. We were also told they would run NEW piping from the house to the system. That never happened. Instead, they tied into the old existing piping. We took photos of everything because at this point we don't trust the workmanship and fully expect problems down the road. And the damage to our property has been unbelievable. They completely destroyed our yard. Since installation, we've already had to spend an extra $2,000 bringing in dump truck loads of dirt because the ground keeps sinking around the tanks. We've laid 6 pallets of grass ourselves, and it feels like every single day there's another issue to deal with. We are two people in our 60s trying to fix a disaster that never should have happened in the first place because we cannot afford to hire a landscaping company to clean up THEIR mess. We were ALSO told -- TWICE -- that the washing machine drain, located only 2 feet from the grease trap they connected, would be tied into the new system. Not only did they fail to connect it, but they actually CUT the washing machine lines. Then, after creating the problem themselves, they charged us AGAIN to come back out and fix it -- on top of the original $8,600 bill! So yes, think long and hard before using Ballards. We were left with a destroyed yard, unexpected expenses, incomplete work, and absolutely no explanation of how the system even works. Now we'll see whether they even honor the maintenance agreement that was supposedly included in the price. read more

Glen E and Horrible, poor installation and the control box was pit on fresh disturbed ground so it sank to where the light and buzzer went off. Cant get them out to fix their problem. Owner was out for pre-inspection of job site, first day supervisor and two employees were on the job, after that supervisor never or owner never came back. Very unprofessional. read more

Red and his brother were very thorough with cleaning my tanks out , he called and let me know he was headed my way, Ballards on my other house installed a aerobics system on my other house that we had and no problems whatsoever with that. Yes I would recommend them. When I called , it was a couple days later when they came out. read more

So I finally had to call another company to come in and fix the problem after waiting for Ballard to come for several days. They installed a sprinkler head without a gasket and did not check the float in the last tank, so after they left, it made a huge puddle in the yard near the new sprinkler head. I asked them to return and fix the problem and they set up several times and days to come back, but when the day came they were a no-show. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. I won't go into the condition they left my yard when my new tank/system was installed 3 years ago but I will go into the situation since. I HAVE HAD AN ALGAE COVERED, MUDDY MESS SINCE THE DAY THEY INSTALLED MY SYSTEM. I've tried working with them to remedy but their interest in making things right is lackluster. I've asked if the drip lines were installed to shallow, I've asked if the pressure is on too high, I've asked and asked that my yard just be DRY and ready for my grandkids to play on it. I have slipped and fallen in the mud, the grand kids have fallen in the mud. IT'S A DISAPPOINTING MESS! They came out @one point with some dirt to put over the wettest area but a.) The skid steer made new, deep ruts that we had to level out on our own and b.) it didn't help with the extreme drainage. I called a few months ago for someone to come out and see if there were any issues with settings and was told there is a "do not service" flag on our account. Today I came out to do some chores and the ground is SOAKED causing me to slip. I'm attaching pictures of todays yard for reference. I'm at this point I feel like my only recourse to actually get my yard back to the nice, beautiful, useable space it was is to get an attorney. read more
