I am extremely disappointed with the customer service from Balloon World. I booked a balloon arch, backdrop, and 5 centerpiece balloons for my son's First Communion back at the end of January for a May event. I paid upfront and carefully confirmed all details months in advance. The most important detail to me was that the backdrop would include my son's name and say "God Bless Benjamin." That personalized sign was the entire reason I chose this company. As the event approached in May, I received absolutely no confirmation or communication regarding delivery. I had to repeatedly call and text just to make sure they were still coming. No one answered and no calls were returned. When the owner finally responded, instead of professionally reassuring me, he texted that he was "busy setting up another event," as if I was supposed to understand or excuse the lack of communication. I am not a friend doing him a favor. I was a paying customer who deserved respect, professionalism, and basic communication. Eventually his assistant called me and asked me to go over all the details again. I even resent photos and specific instructions for the backdrop sign. Then she asked me for payment again as if I had never booked with them in the first place! I had to explain that I already booked and paid months earlier in January. That showed me they either lost my order or were completely disorganized. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, he blamed "busy prom season." That is not an acceptable excuse to give customers. If you run a business, you need to manage your schedule and communicate professionally with clients. The balloons themselves were delivered in the correct colors, but the backdrop had only a generic "God Bless" sign with no name, the one detail I was really looking forward to seeing and the main reason I hired them. After months of planning and stressing over whether they would even show up, this was incredibly upsetting. The lack of communication, organization, accountability, and professionalism made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this business if customer service and reliability are important to you. read more

The balloon artwork was good but I ordered numbers 16 and the 1 had yelllow lights and and 6 had white lights. looked. odd.- very noticeable in pictures. BUYER BEWARE One star because the owner of this shop did not deliver the product as discussed, and never processed a refund for the items never delivered. I ordered a balloon arch with a custom sign that would have my daughter's name as well as coordinating tabletop decorations. The balloon arch was supposed to be pastel rainbow, but the arch delivered had an ice cream on it and an extremely poor looking rainbow (also not pastel). The sign was just "Happy Birthday", no customization with her name as discussed. The coordinating tabletop decorations were never delivered, and the owner spent the following two months giving me the runaround/never answering. While this company is slightly cheaper than some other options, buyer should beware. read more

Ok so the balloons were nice, but the customer service was terrible. It's really the owner - he was rude and disrespectful and essentially spoke to us like we're a burden to him, and he's such a busy guy. This was across multiple conversations. Very unprofessional. We got $700 of balloons, and had them delivered. When coordinating drop off and pick up, the company said "we'll call you in the morning to confirm the time", but they didn't call. At 1pm, I called them and spoke to the owner, who said: "You'll get it when you get it, your party is tomorrow anyway." He even said things like "I'm so busy, things are so crazy" and when pressed for a time, he said "you have no idea what goes into running a business, I've been doing this for over 10 years". Well not a business like this one. Wow. Like it's my problem he mismanages his business and is slammed with work. You should treat customers like you value them even AFTER you have their money. There are so many balloon places - never using this one again. Learn to respect your customers. read more

Ian is amazing. There was a young girl named Liberty working there but she left for college. She would always great me and she was very funny. Great staff. Excellent for last minute orders. It's a small place but they can fulfill large balloon orders. It's literally just balloons though! Don't come here for bday cards, gift bags etc. If you need Balloons is your place! Lol read more

I had my bridal shower in October of this year. They forgot the custom sign to attach to my backdrop that I paid extra money for. I thought okay, no problem, mistakes happen - I'll just get a refund. I have contacted the owner THREE times and each and every time he has given an excuse as to why I have not gotten my refund back yet. He says things like, "Oh I'll get you the refund later" or "Oh, I'll call you tonight to discuss your refund" or "Oh, I need to get your card information again for some reason I'm not seeing it in our system." That was now over a month ago. I have given up trying to get my money back. And I have been the one to reach out to him every single time, not the other way around. Including just to make sure they were bringing my order to my shower location. Never once did I get a check-in call/text/or email about delivering the product I paid for. Also, the fact that this guy refuses to use a website, e-mail or social media to communicate with customers should be a big red flag. There's a reason he wants less avenues of communication between himself and his customers. DO NOT USE. read more

I used Balloon World for my husband's 40th outdoor party. They were amazing. The setup was exactly what I imagined. They came to set up and break down the next day. Unfortunately, we got some rain during the party, and I was nervous about things getting wet, but the person breaking down the backdrop was very sweet and understanding. This company is a scam. Whoever the owner is never confirmed an order that I placed AND PAID FOR on June 28. My event for my daughter's baby shower was for July 13. I asked via text multiple times times for samples of what I would be looking for. He was always busy and says he was with customers. Well I was a customer as well. I NEVER made a review like this much less a negative one When I called the day of the event he texts me back saying that his father just died and my order was the least of his concerns to call the store which I did. If it wasn't for Madeline who says that my order was never in the books (again I paid already) she did her best to make up some balloons. I appreciate her help at least I got something but not what I was expecting because he never communicated with me. Called on a whim after seeing an IG post for a special and I am so beyond thrilled I did. Not only was the owner Ian amazing, his staff is spectacular. They went above and beyond my wildest imagination. I had no clue if it was going to be everything that was described I had a low bar, this company has now set the bar so high for any and every event. They were easy to communicate with, they clearly told me what they were going to make, gave me color options and it was easy peasy. The setup was beyond smooth I told them the party time and everything was ready by the time I arrived at my venue. Clean up was a breeze they came in like ninjas and took everything down and I didn't even notice. The price was good, they were on time, but I requested a specific color (the blue to match my invite) and a specific design on the question mark design (I asked for different size balloons and said I did not want that uniform look where each balloon is the same size) and got neither. In the past we bought balloons at a big box party store. We had to pick them up the day of the event and pay pennies extra per balloon to have gel put in them so they would last longer. By the end of the day they were already dropping to the floor. This time I needed twenty four balloons and I had no idea the big box party store delivered. LUCKY ME! I remembered passing "Balloon World" and seeing "free delivery". We went in about a week before the party and told Ian the color scheme. He showed us the different balloon options (shiny, matte, translucent). My husband and I picked them out, gave the time and address, paid and left. They were delivered exactly as ordered about a half hour early. They looked great! To get rid of them at the end of the party I attached them to the goody bags. We still had some left over so we took them home. Fast forward three weeks, the last balloon just came down. THREE WEEKS! Never again will I purchase balloons anywhere else. The service and quality were outstanding and supporting a local business felt great too! P.S. When we went into BALLOON WORLD my four year old daughter really wanted a big unicorn balloon they had but it was not something we needed for the party so we didn't order it.
