He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! I booked a balloon arch,…read morebackdrop, and 5 centerpiece balloons for my son's First Communion back at the end of January for a May event. I paid upfront and carefully confirmed all details months in advance. The most important detail to me was that the backdrop would include my son's name and say "God Bless Benjamin." That personalized sign was the entire reason I chose this company. As the event approached in May, I received absolutely no confirmation or communication regarding delivery. I had to repeatedly call and text just to make sure they were still coming. No one answered and no calls were returned. When the owner finally responded, instead of professionally reassuring me, he texted that he was "busy setting up another event," as if I was supposed to understand or excuse the lack of communication. I am not a friend doing him a favor. I was a paying customer who deserved respect, professionalism, and basic communication. Eventually his assistant called me and asked me to go over all the details again. I even resent photos and specific instructions for the backdrop sign. Then she asked me for payment again as if I had never booked with them in the first place! I had to explain that I already booked and paid months earlier in January. That showed me they either lost my order or were completely disorganized. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, he blamed "busy prom season." That is not an acceptable excuse to give customers. If you run a business, you need to manage your schedule and communicate professionally with clients. The balloons themselves were delivered in the correct colors, but the backdrop had only a generic "God Bless" sign with no name, the one detail I was really looking forward to seeing and the main reason I hired them. After months of planning and stressing over whether they would even show up, this was incredibly upsetting. The lack of communication, organization, accountability, and professionalism made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this business if customer service and reliability are important to you.
