Yesterday was our church daycare graduation and Balloons and Things came to our rescue! I called Lois 2 days before the event to make a 5ft graduation balloon column and she graciously accomodated us; even though it was her busy season. I was late picking up the balloons due to some unforeseen circumstances but she was patient. When I finally got there at 6:55, the column (which was beautifully arranged) wouldn't fit in my car. She proceeded to put the column in her van and followed me to the church. She had an event starting at 7:30, but she still took time out of her day to make sure that our needs were met. You just don't get customer service like that anymore. Her prices are affordable and the customer service was unparalleled! I'll not hesitate to recommend Balloons and Things to whomever asks! Setting up for my mother-in-law's 50th birthday event was horrible. Where do I begin? We arrived to pick up her items that were paid for in FULL. There was no one in the building. She called to find out that the owner took another event prior to hers and left her a voicemail only 45 minutes before the pick up time. Finally the owner sent her friend over and she and the dj had no idea what was needed for my mother-in-law. There was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING prepared for her. Table cloths were being ironed when I finally got in, balloons were late to arrive (late as in her guest arrived before her balloons), her stand for her banner was half assembled and they did not bring the correct curtains. Her photo area was unfinished and her "5" ballon was an upside down "2". Her linens were not the correct color. Service was absolutely terrible. The owner didn't even answer the phone until someone renting the hall beside the shop called. NEVER AGAIN! I don't recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not to pay in full for this sorry service! TERRIBLE!!! read more
