We enrolled in the Fall session with Lil' Strikers at Markham Sports Dome, and it was a huge…read moredisappointment. The coaches were unprofessional, failed to teach sportsmanship, and didn't provide clear instructions suitable for 5-year-olds. They seem to forget they're working with young children. For instance, during a session where the kids were meant to rotate between activities, Coach Mike simply said, "Rotate clockwise. Not the coach's fault if you don't go to the right group." How can you expect a 5-year-old to understand what "clockwise" means without explaining it? Another issue was the lack of demonstration. They instructed the kids to do soccer drills but gave no examples, leaving the children confused. However, the biggest issue was safety--or rather, the complete disregard for it. One child consistently engaged in dangerous behaviours: sliding, doing high kicks, and other reckless moves. My son had a ball kicked in his face one day and today, was kicked in the hand, leaving him in tears. Not one coach stopped the game to check on him or address the dangerous behaviour. When I raised these concerns with management, Amanda Spence, nothing was done. And Coach Mike insisted that the child wasn't doing anything wrong, and therefore, wouldn't be fouled. I wasn't looking for an apology; I wanted them to address safety with the players and explain why certain actions are dangerous. Their refusal to intervene or even check on my son after his injury was inexcusable. Save your money and go elsewhere. This program lacks professionalism, proper teaching methods, and basic concern for children's safety.

What a frustrating shopping experience. One would think during the busy holiday shopping season,…read morethe goal of retailers - once consumers have made it into their stores because of their dazzling advertisements or quality of their merchandise - is to ensure that they take in as much money and process as many customers as possible; while making the patrons' shopping experience delightful. This was far from what I would be accustom to (unless I was shopping intentionally at Walmart) as we were made to wait an inordinate amount of time for three customers ahead of us who had complicated transactions to process. Noticing that there were three cash terminals, only one person manning the cash registers, and a number of salespeople working the floors, it was frustrating to stew in line. Having engaged someone who appears to be the store manager (name tag says, Jay), he informed me that the second cashier had called in sick. Throughout our exchange, it felt felt like he was telling me to patiently wait. He then went to assist other customers, and when he was done, I inquired why they cannot open up another register? To which he offered that not everyone is qualified to work the registers. I suspect Adidas has an extremely high standard of hiring where each employee has very specific and rigid role; irregardless of what's logical and what is beneficial to shoppers. Being annoyed and further infuriated with the lack of customer service (although he was fairly pleasant), I found my shopping experience excruciating. I think my attitude of Adidas was too generous prior to this experience. Going forward, I'll adjust my expectations to what I would be subjected to by taking the TTC (albeit with a pleasant driver). [As an aside, to add insult to injury. After waiting for about 10 minutes in line, once we approached the only cashier working, the said "manager" served the next customer behind us; thus, opening up a second register. He must have really hated me for speaking up, and figured that this must be his way of getting back at my inquisitive personality. Unfortunately, being docile isn't one of my traits.]

The staffs here are really helpful and willing to answer all my questions.... and even show me where to go next. Studio is a little small...but some can say it is intimate and cozy. Changeroom/washroom/shower all in one with 1 shower stall and one washroom. But I am really impressed with their supplies... Everything I can think I need... even bath towel! I think I going to take a quick shower after my next spinning class. The instructor welcomed me and greeted me by name.. show me how to make adjustment on my bike... The bikes though a little bit old but have quite comfortable seats. (I think my Yelp friend would appreciate that!) The class itself it great... Great music selections and I like how the fan with wind blowing on me makes me feel like I am biking outdoor with the cool breeze.... Energia Athletics has other classes.. maybe I will try a Kettleball class? Hopefully I won't drop one of those on my toes!

I found…read morethis gym in late 2019, Covid hit, and they pivoted into some of the best outdoor workouts around. Rain, wind, snow we were out their barbells and all!! This year the original owners sold to one of their best coaches and his wife, equally gifted, Bernard and Jess. The attention and care they give to their members is second to none, they foster community, pushing yourself as far as you want to go, without pressuring, and truly take an interest in all members. Its not uncommon to see them there at 630 am and still at 7 PM with private clients. They have also hired some amazing coaches to assist them who bring their own individual strengths to the classes. If you are looking for a gym with a true sense of community ( everyone knows everyone regardless of the class or time of day you go) and caring, want to just get in shape or learn a new skill, or really push yourself to another Crossfit level, this gym is for you. Best decision I ever made in joining, and even better in staying with Bernard and Jess taking over. An outstanding place to be!!
