The water park is really lackluster, no one uses it. The gazebo is regularly occupied in the morning by Asian grannies doing tai chi. A sight to behold. The south has a baseball field, a larger playground, a skatepark, a basketball court, two more tennis courts, and another soccer field. This half is often bustling with activity, especially in the summer. The place looks right proper and is well-maintained by the staff. The pond is a nice touch that is surrounded by the verdant fields. If you haven't come to this place for a little walk, give it a try. Just look out for the geese.

Pro tip: do NOT park your car at the neighbouring seemingly empty lot- it belongs to ford, and they are NOT friendly neighbours. Your car will get towed without a warning. This community centre is spacious and clean. Everything is easy to find. The gym is gigantic and stretches far beyond my eyes. The pool is 50m, worked by beautiful and hardworking lifeguards (lol just kidding, shameless plug). Both areas have plenty of seating for viewers. The hallways are large and extensive, so don't be afraid to wander around. There's also a fitness centre overlooking the pool. It's kind of small and lame but I rarely see it packed, so I guess it'd be a good idea. It's not great for lifting, but it has a lot of equipment for such a small gym. The regulars are usually older adults, trying to get some exercise in.

I was always able to take public transit there or get my parents to drive me. It's a large park to have a stroll, picnic or to play in the playground. It was a lot of fun being there. I would be surprised and forget how big it was just cause I didn't always have the opportunity to explore the park. Also, I remember a time where people were able to fly kites till it was banned. I don't know if they still do fireworks. For a time, the park would arrange fireworks on Canada Day and a lot of people would attend. During events like this, people would park at the Alton Towers plaza, walked or transit there because parking was limited. Local high school students would do their volunteer hours at the community center on the park. I think they need to apply online through the main city website (if memory serves me correctly).

Service is friendly, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the seasonal hours make it a lovely warm-weather destination. A hidden gem for a relaxing coffee or snack surrounded by nature. The building called the Langstaff Discovery Centre houses the Langstaff Community Centre and two…read moreschools. I've only used the community centre for voting on election days and advanced polls. There are two parking lots that are adequate even when the schools are open. I like that the building is located on a side street far enough from Yonge St for traffic to flow well. There are 3 gymnasiums and some meeting rooms that can be rented. The gyms are also used for summer programs run by Richmond Hill Recreation. They offer archery and golf lessons as well as co-ed volleyball for a fee. I've seen some picnic tables outside and a vending machine on the way to the gyms. The auditorium in the centre of the building is spacious and has a stage. It's too bad there's no swimming pool! Occasionally, the buttons that operate the doors for people with disabilities, don't work.
