I order same coffee since three years and I'm sometimes paying 95c sometimes 1.30. Some items are overpriced. I really liked granola pot (Greek yogurt +granola+fruit compote) until I find out it was frozen from night before ( I really hope it was only one night). Fish + two side = 4,60. Fish portion is very small, they will give you lots of potatoes and vegetables instead. Chicken breast + one side is usually 4,10. In few occasion chicken was pink. Good salad selection, there's around 12 to choice from. Sandwich bar: Very long queue and slow service. Sandwich will cost you around 2 - 3 Euro, depends from the fillings. And again, you can pay for the exactly same sandwich 1,90 or 2,50. Depends from who is doing it. The salad bar ( outside main canteen) - really nice salads, chicken breast on the bone is well cooked ( grilled ) and you can add anything ( olives, feta, blue cheese, corn etc.). The price for salad - 5,40. Canteen is focused mainly on the microsoft core staff. For somebody who is working for arvato ( which is majority of the employees in Ms building - around 500 people) and earning 19k per year ( around 1,500/month) is not the best deal.

I went to visit a friend in Tallaght and we were up for a walk with the dog. I wasn't aware of this big park called Dodder Valley located in Kiltipper (within the bigger district of Dublin 24). I could see the place is mainly known by locals and I was glad by the peace the area provides. Then you need to keep going ahead about 3 kms until Glenasmole. If you pass Dodder's Valley entrance, you'll see a gate that's kept closed but you can open it and find a green field. This big area it's Bohernabreena. It's so nice to explore the area, see locals, and even see some cattle, sheep (really) and deers. There are also 2 reservoirs - Bohernabreena Waterworks, that supply 35,000 households, managed by Dublin City Council and some people (with permits) are allowed to fish brown trouts. Public walking routes and car park are available. This place was a great find!

The building itself is a tad inaccurately described as "the white building" in the equally grandiosely titled for its purposes Goldenbridge Integrated Complex. It's a converted church mideway into a housing estate just over the canal from the Goldenbridge LUAS stop. Curmudgeonly grousing aside, when focusing on the community service this place provides, it should be strapped with colonnades, gold leaf and marble facing. This is a facility staffed by some very dedicated folks working hard to help the local public stay working. LES works in conjunction with FAS and Social Welfare to provide back to work schemes and resources for job seekers in the surrounding area. Not only are there courses on improving CVs and interview skills, but copiers, computers, internet access and a FAS jobs console. The staff are genuine as well -happy to offer a cup of tea and a sympathetic (if proactive) ear as well as a game plan for getting back on one's feet.

Located just off Rathmines Road, this park has the very definite feel of being the common garden of the surrounding houses of the square, which is, of course, exactly the purpose of the green spaces in all of Dublin's squares. Don't let that put you off, though; the park has been open to all, residents or otherwise, for over 30 years. There's a children's playground to keep the kids occupied, and tree-sheltered corners to just relax, virtually undisturbed by the traffic.

There are lots of benches around the edge of sitting on the rasa doesn't strike your fancy. Our experience visiting the Saturday market stalls in Meeting House Square in the Temple Bar neighborhood was enjoyable, especially conversing with the local vendors and selecting from their offerings. We gathered enough provisions to create our own chacuterie board with Italian meats, local cheeses, a jar of port jelly, a loaf of fresh bread, GF cranberry crackers, and marinated roasted artichoke. There were also all kinds of olives and sun-dried tomatoes I now wish we would've purchased. All in all a great find. Enough for two for two light meals: about $30

It was probably the smartest and best use of the square that I had ever seen, of course it was a balmy summer night and there was not a spot of rain - typical. It was so enjoyable to relax and enjoy music and have a drink. I really do hope that they use the space in there more often lack that, as in completely covered - it's a great way to showcase Temple Bar in an unusual setting.

It was like a doctors surgery right down to having the sink in the corner; romantic it definitely wasn't! So, I was very pleasantly surprised to walk into a really nicely finished room in theatre style with a wooden panelled back drop and plush carpets, it very much added to the sense of occasion, it was perfect in fact. Parking is the only issue you will have for this venue, so arrive early; you'll have to hunt for parking then for a parking meter and then for change - if you are not properly prepared it could seriously cramp your day!

But he was jolly and happy, all the while explaining the technicalities with the right amount of seriousness. The ceremony was fun, serious, nerve racking and happy all at the same time. The room itself is like a little auditorium with plenty of room for a big posse to help you celebrate. I'd agree with Quentin, parking can be difficult here so either walk or get a taxi.

I had heard they had beautiful gardens and a nice place to stop for lunch. I have to say, the gardens were indeed absolutely beautiful. There was a wedding being prepared inside the house, so you weren't allowed to go inside when I was there. However, I'm not sure if you're normally allowed inside or not. After spending about an hour walking around the grounds and snapping photos, we stopped at the little outdoor cafe by the manor house for some coffee and lunch. We each had a sandwich which came with a little side salad. There was also nice classical/light jazz music playing in the background. I have to say, it made for quite the relaxing afternoon. From the area where they serve food, you overlook the gardens as you sit out in the sun. If it does start raining, which, because this is Ireland, invariably it will... they do have some limited seating. Would love to come here next time and sit outside with some wine. :)

You could drive up along the Southern Cross Road in Bray by endless rows of boom-time estates…read morewithout ever realising that you have passed an Elizabethan-Revival mansion and its ample gardens. But you have, and that hidden gem is Killruddery House. Some Irish people have an ambivalent attitude towards manor houses for obvious reasons but Killruddery is worth a little expedition. It's naturally steeped in history - it's been home to the Brabazon Family (the Earls of Meath) since 1618 and currently the home of the 15th Earl of Meath. The house and gardens are open to the public from April to September and they have recently opened a cafe (although you'll have to pay the entrance fee even if you're just after a coffee). Killruddery hosts arts events in the beautiful orangery every summer. It's a truly unique spot to catch a gig in - Lisa Hannigan recently played and I've seen Eleanor McEvoy and David Kitt strumming away under the pristine glass roof. It's also used extensively as a film location and has a stables so don't be surprised if you hear some neighing! A nice day out for tourists and locals alike.
