Anyway, Lynam's is the local newsagent/ convenience store for the local school and the locals around Lower Goatstown. It has all the usual things a newsagent has but this one is special because it also has a post office! There was roasted butternut squash, feta and caramelised onion on it. Their breakfast pizza was pretty impressive too. If Lynams keep on this track, they'll be the Mortons or Donnybrook Fair of Goatstown. The shop also doubles as a post office which is always a bonus. We went away with a nice Chablis and Fleurie, both of which were lovely wines. The area is lucky to have Lynams, it's not your average newsagent.

So I asked them on behalf of Yelp what this place is like, they grimaced thinking of all the years they spent studying but the tortures of retention and repetition aside they had fond memories of the teaching staff. The facilities are very impressive too. All I can contribute independently to this review is that the building itself is a nice piece of architecture and surprisingly fits in very well next to the old Georgian buildings.

Then we watched them collect chicken eggs and milk cows. So cool!! Then we walked around visiting adorable cows, calves, sheep, donkeys, and sheep! There were beautiful flower gardens and amazing trails that were so fun with the kids! They also had a fun playground!! There were so many other things to enjoy here that we didn't get to, but we absolutely loved our visit. We wish we lived in the area so we could visit more!

Great location just over 5 minutes stroll from Dundrum shopping centre and the luas stop. It began with a cupcake, ( it was awesome) then continued with rain. Luckily I was well prepared with wellies and waterproofs......... for the child. I unfortunately looked like a dog who fell in a well by the end of the day. The chickens were first and full of life and head bobbing joy, then on to the calves. This is where the fun started. My daughter began to harass the young things to say moo..... "SAY MOO COWS!!!! SAYYYY MOOOOOOOO" they proceeded to chew and blink............unimpressed. Everybody else however got a few giggles out of it. Then the pigs. Where the girl said " DO NOT under any circumstances put your fingers in. pigs WILL EAT that meat." My fearless soldier girl promptly put her entire hand in and started stroking the BIG and I mean BIG mammy pigs head whilst I nearly took a heart attack pulling her hand back out. Then the goats were the best part........... it was raining heavily by now.... there was no shelter nearby........ but giving the goats grass from our hands was the only thing she wanted to do, not even the lure of the ever amazing Mcdonalds could pull the 2 year old away from the beasts. All in all twas an odd day but I loved it! They also had some beautiful gardens and displays...... Well worth a visit for all the family members...... unless they are on a spring cleaning blitz. Bearing that in mind, the Tax Office while busy is bright, airy and welcoming. If you want a face to face with those who can answer your income tax questions, then this is a one stop shop. If you want to catch up on some reading it's an ideal place for you also, as you could be waiting some time to be seen. That said, for civil servants who deal with the public, the staff are friendly and helpful.

When I got here the queue was all the way around the corner past Burger King already and it wasn't until nearly 11am that I got to talk to one of the guys to sort out my taxes. Oh how it has changed. Since the renovation, there is no counters downstairs anymore and instead there is a big self-service counter where you can fill in your forms and just drop them off. Upstairs is where you get to talk to one of the civil servants. As long as you avoid going to the tax office in the early morning and around lunchtime you can be in and out within 15 minutes- yes, that's happened to me a few times! The only downside is that the security guard won't let you wait with a cup of take-away coffee for security reasons.

So, I was very pleasantly surprised to walk into a really nicely finished room in theatre style with a wooden panelled back drop and plush carpets, it very much added to the sense of occasion, it was perfect in fact. Parking is the only issue you will have for this venue, so arrive early; you'll have to hunt for parking then for a parking meter and then for change - if you are not properly prepared it could seriously cramp your day!

But he was jolly and happy, all the while explaining the technicalities with the right amount of seriousness. The ceremony was fun, serious, nerve racking and happy all at the same time. The room itself is like a little auditorium with plenty of room for a big posse to help you celebrate. I'd agree with Quentin, parking can be difficult here so either walk or get a taxi.

The Bloody Stream - no not the pub the actual stream. I am sure a lot of visitors to Howth think…read morewhat a strange name for a pub but little do they know running beneath the train station is "The Bloody Stream" So here is the history bit . . . in 1177 there was a big battle between The Vikings who were the locals in Howth at the time and the Normans who arrived into the harbour to attack. The Normans defeated The Vikings and the blood from the dead and wounded flowed into the river giving it it's name. During many excavations weapons, armour and human remains were found around the site of the train station. The head of the Norman invaders, Sir Almeric Tristram, having won the battle became the first Earl of Howth and as the battle was won on the feast day of St.Lawrence he adopted St. Lawrence as his family name. His decedents, the St.Lawrence family still live in Howth Castle today. The stream runs down from the castle and then disappears under the main road - you will pass a little waterfall of the stream on the right just before you come into Howth. #yelpelite2016 #yelpelite

First thing about these place: it is not easy to find! For some reason my GPS sent me to the other…read moreside of the river and I almost lost my appointment. It is located inside a building so it is really easy to miss. Just be attentive and look for the signs. Once I was there everything went smoothly. The whole thing took less than an hour. I got a number, handed my documents, was told to put my hand bag in the locker (they'll give you a key). Then they tell you to go to the end of the corridor where is the room the exam happens. They'll take a headshot of you and collect your signature. You go to the exam room and you do your thing ;) Once you are done you leave the room and wait in the same area you were waiting before. In what seems to be ages they will finally call your name and tell you if you passed or not. Good luck!

I went to visit a friend in Tallaght and we were up for a walk with the dog. I wasn't aware of this big park called Dodder Valley located in Kiltipper (within the bigger district of Dublin 24). I could see the place is mainly known by locals and I was glad by the peace the area provides. Then you need to keep going ahead about 3 kms until Glenasmole. If you pass Dodder's Valley entrance, you'll see a gate that's kept closed but you can open it and find a green field. This big area it's Bohernabreena. It's so nice to explore the area, see locals, and even see some cattle, sheep (really) and deers. There are also 2 reservoirs - Bohernabreena Waterworks, that supply 35,000 households, managed by Dublin City Council and some people (with permits) are allowed to fish brown trouts. Public walking routes and car park are available. This place was a great find!
