Their carts have range finder technology, which I always love! The only downside is that the driving range was closed and despite the facility being fitted with indoor simulators, we were not allowed access to these without paying a pretty hefty fee, so we had to start the day cold. Even with that, the course was beautiful! The tee boxes were well maintained and the greens were fairly well kept.

I golf there every summer with friends in a scramble tournament and the Forest Hills is always a good host, and you can tell they truly appreciate the business. At the clubhouse, they have a 19th hole bar on the lower level and Izzo's restaurant on the top level. You're only a mile or so west of Detroit Lakes, but you can also rent rooms at the resort. There is also a small mini golf course and ice cream shop adjacent to the parking lot.

We didn't have to wait much at all for the go-carts or the mini golf on a weekday. Impressed with the cleanliness and the condition of the facilities. My son was upset that he was the the last car to depart on the go-cart track so really no way to catch up to the front and at the end they give tickets to the first two winners that you can accumulate for prizes. So, that's constructive feedback for the establishement, but didn't deter having any fun and we would definitely return if in the area again.
