I was seen by Mr Veer and his assistant for a check up last week and can can honestly say they treated very well, dealt with my nervous disposition excellently - even my gagging at the mouth xray!. The decor is light and airy, as you walk in you are warmly greeted by one of the reception staff. There is a tv and a small play area for toddlers. Once in the consulting room Dr Gabriel really puts you at ease, she is wonderful with the kids too. They are full of advice; in fact I realised that the reason I've had fillings in recent years, when I really don't eat an awful lot of sweets (except for cinema treats) is because I'm not brushing correctly. It turns out, just brushing thoroughly for 2 whole minutes twice daily and flossing does the trick. It's the first check I remember when I had not treatment, not even a little tiny filling. Mr Rooprai, who I see always remembers conversations (a bit like a hairdresser) does and we talk about me travels during the 2 minutes I have before he starts checking my teeth. He's also full of humour and they always have the radio on which relaxes me just a bit. Highly recommended if you can get in as a NHS patient.

I've since had a few dentists but in June 2009 with a new dental insurance plan returned to Julian. His surgery is really rather inconvenient to get to if you don't live in the moorlands. It takes me about 40 minutes to get here from either Stafford where I work, or Newcastle where I live. His prices are undoubtedly high for dentistry but he is thorough in his work, I've never had a problem and I'm sure I've never paid for unecessary work. In fact Julian is BBC Radio Stokes on air dentist, so that should be an indicator of how good he is with all his patients.

He is a lovely dentist to having and is very friendly. If you have a problem you know you can trust him to help or sort it out for you. Private dentistry will never be cheap but you know that he is not going to charge you more for treatment. He also provides NHS service for people up to 19 in full time education. Overall i will be staying with this dentist for a long time.
