This as actually a rather nice cafe that I accidentally stumbled across as I was wandering through…read morethe back streets of Adelaide. Actually, I was on the bus at the time, and normally wouldn't have gone down this route, so I guess it was fortuitous that I couldn't have the car that day. As such, I later dragged my friends down here for a pot of tea, and I must say that it was certainly a great spot to do so. Not only was the tea quite nice, but I found the service to be very good as well. Certainly worth spending some time here chatting.

Fairly new I think, and tucked away in the southerly burbs', this little cafe is charming! The decor is clean, light and modern - a wooden bar with fresh newspapers, mini jars holding sugar and a range of cakes and light meals to satisfy a morning tea, lunch or arvo craving. My latte was not the best I've had in Adelaide, but still worth a mention. The banana bread I had however - delicious. Thick cut, homemade, toasted - what more could you ask for? How about wonderfully moist (shudder at that word) and yet light at the same time? You got it. Can I have the recipe please!? Overall the service was nice, just one guy was manning the cafe but that's all it needs on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. I hope to see them expand into breakfasts maybe! P.S. You can also buy your 2L bottle of non-homogenised Tweedvale milk here to take home for $4.50! Yay!

I've committed a heinous Yelp crime. I ate a beautiful looking breakfast here and didn't take a…read morephoto of it! Ok now I've got that off my chest, this place, its breakfasts and coffees are criminally good. Select your poison from 3 different single origins for your coffee, but know that none of them are as good as their Indian Tiger Mountain. Not just because the name is ninja cool, or that it's the first engrish coffee bean I've seen in Adelaide, but because it is strong and fierce like a tiger mountain would be. The teas also are from some local field or something, but really you're not coming all this way for some flavoured water. Sit down amongst a mash up of big communal and group tables, worn couches, bench seats or up at the piano if you fancy and watch as every mother's group, young family, hipster on their bike and local wander in like zombies looking for their coffee fix of the day. Service is punctual and friendly and soon we receive our breakfasts that I had to double check the prices of because they were so big. $17 for a big breakfast and $15 for haloumi, avo and poached eggs is ridicurous. So was the actual breakfast. Perfectly cooked, gooey poached eggs atop a crunchy white piece of toast with a simple haloumi and rocket salad made for a happy Chloe. Unpretentious on every level, simple meals and smashing coffee make this place as mysterious and hidden as an Indian Tiger Mountain. Get along before it becomes endangered and overrun with hipsters.

This place has awesome potential, they're still setting up but the space is good and the staff are…read moreso friendly... be prepared for a chat! Great coffee and toasted sandwich was just the ticket on a wintry Saturday arvo. Looking forward to seeing how these guys go.

Dear Daisy, I'm…read morewriting this review to you today to let you know that I very much appreciated your hospitality today over lunch. You are so lucky to be set in such a beautiful little neighbourhood, so close to the industrial train lines but tucked away amongst all those cute Goodwood cottages. The cute embroidered chair cushions and large wooden tables was a nice detail you added to my lunch experience. Although your prices are a little bit more than your standard cafe, the choice you provided was great for lunch. And you must have known I'm a fan of an all day brunch too. My coffee was smooth and lunch of citrus smashed avo on rye with smoked salmon and fetta was fresh and zingy. My dining partner's pulled pork bun with potato salad looked lovely too. Thank you for friendly and speedy service. I look forward to catching up again soon. Best wishes, Chloe

Imagine the excitement coursing through my veins when a brand spanking new cafe (with all the…read morehipster/trendy trimmings) opens up 5 doors down from my house, and dearest Daisy, you passed my expectations for a local with flying colours. Dear Daisy occupies the space left by the Leah St Deli and is right on the tram line next to the Forestville tram stop next to the hairdressers. I've popped in and out of here a number of times for coffee and have been most satisfied with smooth flat whites and spicy long blacks and am always pleased with the sparkly service and cheery staff. The menu here is catered to the breakfast/brunch crew (all day breakfast, huzzah!) but Dear Daisy is developing a great lunch menu. The selection features all your standards for brekkie and lunch has a mix of wraps and rolls as well as some great specials (pulled pork buns, zucchini fritters anyone?) and over the past week since its opened I've seen the menu change and evolve. Lunching here I had a pulled pork bun with coleslaw with potato salad on the side, the pork was soft and tender and the potato salad had pickles (yay!) with yumminess all round. Pricing is quite reasonable and on the cheap side for the Goodwood area. Really looking forward to getting round to breakfast here and with 7am opening on the weekdays, I'm thinking a post night duty pick me up breakfast treat is in order!
