The cafe channels a hipster vibe with mismatched furniture and an eclectic use of items as display cases, but the owners have really maximised the space here whilst allowing the patrons to have enough breathing room. Staff are friendly in store and always up for a chat and happy to give you their recommendations on food or tea blend options. The Menu has a good range of breakfast and light lunch options and vegetarians will find themselves relatively well looked after. I'm a big fan of their pancakes (which are really pikelets) as they are very generous on the portion sizes as well as topping options. The coffee here is a wee bit bitter for my own liking but their lattes are crazy creamy. The Litttle Leaf also mixes their own tea blends you can buy in store, whilst I'm not a tea drinker myself, friends have assured me it is top notch. The Leaf 'n' Bean also puts on regular events with live music, exhibitions and dessert nights on their cards. Worth the trip up the hill, check out their Facebook page to see what is happening instore.

Homemade cakes, muffins and slices (a large range of those being gluten free) taste like nanna has baked them herself. We tried the "Lemon Situation," GF Orange and Almond Cake and GF Apple and Rhubarb Crumble muffin thing and were all impressed and received our sweet quota for the week. The Iced Coffees were very creamy and rich with vanilla ice cream - made with real coffee but perhaps a tad too sweet for me. The atmosphere of this cafe is comfortable with a range of seating options from couches to large share tables and cushioned seats in the corner. They also have a lovely courtyard for sitting in during the day. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive and seem to really love where they work. I didn't manage to try their breakfast or simple lunch options of soup, sandwiches and quiche etc on the menu but will definitely be back.

The fact that Aberfoyle Park now has a few locations where you can get decent coffee is awesome in its self. For a long time the population of Aberfoyle was large but the services were not. Now there are three locations to get your coffee, Frekkles, spelt with two k's being one of them. Compared to another nearby coffee shop Frekkles is a bit more expensive and offers a little less (except smoothies). The shop front always has people around though and they have a nice little set-up for a store that is positioned right next to a budget bargain shop. I recent;y grabbed a wrap here and it was tasty, but compared to another shop within a minute the filling wasn't as ample and the price was a few dollars more. Add to that the waiting time always seems a bit longer also.

Service is friendly. The food is okay, it has your selection of cakes and scones along with sandwiches, salads and some Vietnamese options like Asian salad, pho and banh mi. They also do fresh juices. The pricing is okay, I don't think it's particularly cheap for what you are getting but you don't have to break the bank to eat here. A focaccia is about $10.95, if you ordered chicken it's the pre-cut catering pack chicken. I'm pretty sure they also use that on their salads. In all honesty though, for a deep suburb cafe of this quality I do feel I could get better elsewhere for the same price.

Nothing spectacular, the staff are suspiciously young but very friendly, prices are pretty standard and so is the menu. Probably the only worthwhile restaurant in a few km radius in O'Halloran Hill.

This happened to me today so I stopped in here to indulge and get my cooked breakfast hit. The service was great. The staff were attentive without making you feel like you're being stalked. The coffee was yummy, although I've got to say that anything with caffeine suits me so for those out there who are particular about coffee, I may not be of much help to you for that. I ordered the Bacon and Eggs on toast with hash browns as an extra. I'm one of these people who like to have bacon and eggs on toast and I like to arrange it all how I like it so I was happy when it all came out ready for my assembling. What stumped me a little was that there were two eggs, two rashers of bacon but only one piece of toast. I also raised my eyebrows at the three tiny hash browns which were obviously the kind you can buy from any supermarket frozen foods section. I was hoping for some fresh, hand made hash browns. I would come back here again but only if money wasn't an issue. I haven't been here for a while because I always find the prices don't matched what I get served. The food seems to have improved since last time I was here but the prices are still a little too high.
