Shoppers walk along decking and boardwalks to access the shops. Also, there are different buildings within the shopping center so that adds some interest too. My favorite shops here are The Cottage Shop, Sound Feet Shoes and The Cotton Gin. In addition to shops there are also a handful of restaurants and eateries. And behind the shopping center is a race track and miniature golf course. Timbuck II includes some other business too like a massage place and a real estate office.

The Nags Head Mall is not fancy but I do tend to find myself there nearly once a day during my summer vacations. Here are some of my common pit stops: Woo Casa - One of my favorite restaurants on the Outer Banks serving Mexican and Asian fusion. Grits Grill - A reliable stop for an early morning diner-style breakfast Duck Donuts - Always a sweet treat. The Cottage Shop - One of my favorite stores on the Outer Banks featuring high quality beachy decor Ulta - A chain store but I appreciate the convenience of being able to grab some extra pampering products while on vacation Food Lion and the Dollar Tree - Not exciting stops but reliable and practical There is plenty of parking in the mall and stores in addition to those listed above.

They have a crew car available with the option to take it overnight for $35/day (taxes include). Cheaper than many rental car options! Fuel was $4.29 for 100LL full service which was very reasonable and our parking fees were waived for the few days we stayed here with fuel purchase. The FBO closes after 5pm on weekends so be sure to come in either on a weekday or make prior arrangements. If you fly in after 5pm, you can park the airplane and tie it down yourself and probably settle the bill in the next few days. This is a beautiful airport with very easy access to the outer banks. I would highly recommend flying in here!

We used this company last week during the snow storm because my husband and…read moreI were worried about driving in the snow, being from eastern NC we don't have a lot of practice. When we arrived they were so nice even though it was freezing. They loaded up all our luggage for us and the van driver was really nice and got us where we needed to be safely. Then our cruise got extended due to the port closing. Asphalt lots posted on Facebook within 10 minutes of us on the boat receiving the news of the port closing stating they was no need to worry they would hold our vehicles the extra day for no extra cost and would be there to pick us up when we port. We finally got off the boat and I was concerned it was going to be awhile before they picked us up due to the amount of people and the freezing temperatures but they were there waiting with three vehicles ready to get us. I can't recommend this place enough and I will use them every time I cruise out of Norfolk.
