"Make sure you go to public access beach..." All part of the beach is not for swimming. You need to see the board of public access and go there. There is fine if you swim at the wrong part. There is parallel road beside beach, beach house near by it, make this beach beautiful. Best beach to swim. OBX beaches are so long that you won't find crowded at all. You can swim, kayak-surf, do water sports. Get down and have some relaxing moment.

Any time spent at the beach is time well spent in my opinion... so with that being said, I enjoyed myself at Kitty Hawk Beach. I agree with other reviewers that it's on the crowded side, with a lot of kids playing and your fair share of teenagers. But its not that bad- it's a fairly size beach and you can spread out. Parking is located across the street, and conveniently so are restrooms. I wasn't looking for a beach, I just stumbled upon Kitty Hawk Beach so I consider it a little bit of pleasant surprise to my afternoon. But I suppose if you were actually seeking out beaches in the area you could probably find a better one. I got some cool pics tho. The sky was angry! It was just about to storm.

We saw about 10 horses, including a family group, and appreciated the opportunity to see them. The problem was the guide, who turned what should have been an exciting wildlife experience into an unpleasant one. From the start, he told us he was tired because he had already done four tours that day and that he would "try." Unfortunately, that lack of enthusiasm was evident throughout the entire tour. Instead of feeling like welcomed guests, we felt like an obligation. The way he interacted with people was especially disappointing. He belittled another guest, spoke to me in a condescending manner when I briefly used bug spray on my neck, and created an atmosphere that felt judgmental rather than educational. Most troubling were his comments dismissing conservation efforts for the very wildlife this tour is built around. A guide leading visitors to see Corolla's wild horses should understand and respect the work that protects these animals and their habitat. This was not a case of unrealistic expectations about wildlife. It was a case of poor guiding, poor communication, and a lack of respect for guests. The horses were beautiful. Unfortunately, the guide made the experience one we will not remember fondly.

You can take the direct approach and just walk up the stairs if you want to. However, for the handicapped, there is no easy way of getting down the stairs to the hot sandy beach...most wheelchairs won't do well in soft sand. For those who did get into the ocean or are just covered in sweat, there is a shower at the bottom of the stairs. There is also a Portable Pottie too. This is if you can make it from the beach to the toilet. Hopefully it's not occupied. Your other two options are back to the place you're staying...or an aqua dump off in the ocean...its less messy...but... Anyhow, I have passed this parking lot/beach access many times but never thought about it. Guess when you are stay at another person's house, you notice things you might not have noticed before. Ths time is now 16:31 (4:31pm) and today has been a lazy day. I did go on the ocean, but I had to do it alone. Tomorrow maybe a different story. From the house I am staying at, I can see the comings and goings of family's visiting or leaving the beach.

Planning a wedding from Ohio was a real challenge, but Christine was an absolute doll. She helped us with everything throughout the planning process and was still supporting us on the actual wedding day. We held our ceremony at Marketplace Beach, which was perfect for our guests thanks to the large parking lot and nearby restrooms. Frank set up a small speaker on the beach so everyone could hear the ceremony clearly, and he brought a great sound system inside our beach rental for the reception. Reverend daniel delivered a heartfelt ceremony, and our amazing coordinator Steve kept the entire day organized and calm. Thank goodness we were so nervous.lol. Our photographer Megan made getting-ready photos so much fun with me, my bridesmaids, and my stepmom while Aunt Donna kept the mimosas flowing in the kitchen. Megan took so many fabulous pictures we'll treasure forever. Chef Samuel and his catering team were awesome. Our favorite dishes were the chicken tetrazzini and the smashed potatoes station. Yummy. After the ceremony, we returned to Bella house for the fun reception party. Having the food at the vacation home made the entire experience feel intimate. Sandbridge Weddings gave us a beautiful, relaxed, unforgettable day. For anyone planning a vacation home beach house wedding, make Sandbridge your destination for sure it's so relaxing and beautiful Thanks sooo much Sandbridge Weddings along with Vacasa

Parking is plentiful and free. The City of Virginia Beach operates the beach and its guards. The beach is clean and wide. It's not as busy as the VBOF either. For surfing it's better than others with currents. Also a plus is its proximity to Back Bay Park. A drawback is that they do not have an infrastructure built up, but many consider this a plus since it's so natural. You can find a food truck on the road in for tacos named Bandino's. Come out and enjoy with warmer weather in the Spring. It's a family friendly beach, so bring the family and dog too! There are so many reasons why Virginia Beach residents feel as though they live in paradise. Our beaches point blank rock and few would dispute that the city knows how to take excellent care of them for our tourist and locals alike.
