Why go to a 4 year college when they have the same quality classes at a community college?? Their semesters are long- 4 months....so brace yourself. You may not want to take too many classes if you're also going to work full time. The campus is decent and they have so many students who just have it set in their head that they are going to take calculus. It's just a given. I decided to transfer here from CCBC the only reason I transferred was due to the high out of county tuition. When you transfer you have to stop by the testing center (this is part why I regret transferring) There is a woman at the front named Miriam she has the worst attitude when coming in to register for a test she kept laughing and eating loudly which was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. When you go into the testing computer room you can still hear her laughing and joking loudly despite the door being locked. Honestly after encountering this episode with Miriam on three separate occasions it just reflects poorly about the staff at this college. read more

What do you want me to say? The teachers are checked out. It's the students fault that they almost lost their accreditation a couple years ago, so they can just take it out on us. Can't contact the departments directly- have to go through the "help"desk- where they are rude as hell and you're wasting THEIR time, and how dare you cut them off by trying to explain your situation fully. Thickheaded. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt bc i know the pandemic has been stressful on educators and schools, but honestly, nah. They're always like this. But as far as college goes, they are cheap! Boy are they ever cheap. These people are the biggest scam and crooks ever. I signed up to take a few classes because I was living in Baltimore city for a little bit I moved back to Anne Arundel County and decided to take classes there. I file my taxes this year they seized my return claiming that I didn't pay for the classes I dropped and never attended. I owe them 1000 something dollars. I'm glad I didn't go there. Oh and let's talk about how they sent me a fraudulent email saying it will be a meeting to help with classs picking and stuff in some old broken up building across the street from there campus I show up and no one is there and know of it read more

My boyfriend has taken classes here and he only has rave reviews! 1. The professors are engaged and eager to teach. Many of them have advanced degrees and are well versed on these subjects. They also encourage class participation. 2. Everyone on the administration team has always been so helpful with regards to course selection, tuition payments, and scheduling. 3. Another positive is that they have classes at all times so it's easy to find a class to fit your schedule. 4. The facilities are really nice and the buildings are clean. 5. The only major downside is parking. The close parking lots are always full and it's such a hassle to park in the auxiliary parking... It feels like walking a mile! read more

Never thought I'd be this attached to this school and some of it's faculty! I attended and graduated from University of Maryland Eastern Shore, but this is the school that started me on my path. While in high school I took early enrollment courses here at BCCC that prepared me for college life before I was even a high school grad! I owe a lot to BCCC! It is definitely a beacon within this Baltimore community! My Upward Bound days started here, and now I am back continuing the legacy! read more

I am taking a course at BCCC this semester, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. First off, it's almost impossible to find courses this inexpensive at an accredited college, so I didn't enter with set expectations. But, the instruction has been excellent and the administrative systems have been workable. The primary con for a lot of their classes is the location -- they have more convenient sites in downtown Baltimore, but those are limited to certain courses. It would be great if they could expand some of their more popular courses (in life sciences) to their central locations. read more

I thought this college was gonna be very "ghetto", but I was wrong. A lot of the students there are very friendly. The teachers and staff members care about there students and their success. I will definitely recommend this college to other people. I hope that I continue to have a good experience at BCCC. read more

Many people taking the college classes at here but the parking lots are so so tiny. Never found parking lot in the morning and bccc staff will give you the tickets if you park your car anywhere. Horrible. read more

Recently I had a chance to visit Baltimore City Community College that I still refer to as the old " CCB". Its good to see how it has grown but still provide great service with old core values to educate and advance students for sucess. My granddaughther will be finishing high school from City college at the end of this month. Hooray for "Money". She has fear about moving on to a major four year college. So to get adjusted and started with the college experience , she selected the Baltimore City Comminuty College Liberty campus. Her fear of the unknown at first was a battle within herself and I thought it was going to hold her back. So we visited the school and I'm glad she futhering her education whether its at a two year school or four years. Maybe other children share the same fear as well. In my opinion community college can provide students with a great foundation and support that's one of the reason I took her there. What do you all think about attending community colleges?.
