Loved this experience. Totally worth it. Host was amazing and really invested. My daughter had a Bday party here and while it was a bit pricey to reserve the room privately it was so worth it. We went Escapology more recently and it felt more corporate and a bit less charming. Escape The Room is really awesome and I'd choose this over the competition...if you're trying to decide! read more

Had SUCH a great experience here. The room was incredibly well-designed -- challenging without being frustrating, and every puzzle actually made sense once you figured it out. The attention to detail in the set and storyline made it feel immersive from start to finish. Recommend: Sure, but you WILL be challenged. ALL of you... The 'Submarine' Room was well designed, but clearly overbuilt in that there were numerous misguided puzzles to keep you guessing, never knowing, if those were or were not going to assist you further. I'm not entirely a fan of that but take it how you like. To me, it wastes time per se... vs working on a positive outcome when all of the puzzles connect to further you to completion. But with 4/4 people in my group having various Degrees, who are sharp-witted, energetic and dexterous; we STRUGGLED to get this accomplished without help. Some clues, honestly just didn't tie in well with a process or edging you towards another in-sight goal. My family and I LOVE deep-thinking puzzles but this was just okay if a bit unconnected from one puzzle to the next. 'Directions' on 'driving' the sub and connecting the things you need to 'do' to make it work were overly complicated too. Overall, it was a positive experience really, if a bit exhausting mentally. Thankfully, the Attendant kept us focused on time and artfully kept offering to guide us when we hit road-blocks to keep us going forward. Summary: Go for it; but REALLLLY look around and TALK out your problems to help each other! read more

We just dropped in without an appointment and did Submarine 1 with three people. We have done Escape Rooms all over the world, and this was very well crafted. The puzzles were fun and challenging. They let us do it with just our group which was nice (there were others waiting and they steered them to other rooms). Because we had only 3 people, it took a few hints to do all of the puzzles given there were so many areas to explore at the same time in 60 mins. We solved it with 2 mins to spare! read more

My siblings and I came here for a sibling outing and we were not disappointed! The staff was welcoming and very informative initially with rules and such. The escape room took us back to the wild Wild West with the decor. The clues were straight forward but still posed a challenge. Kinda seemed like escape rooms would be the worst thing on the planet for me. But a friend loves the cyberpunk-esque vibes, and I was going to swallow my hatred to try my first escape room here with the Immersive Machine. I leave the experience virtually speechless. (No spoilers here, so read away!) Why it was great for two people new to escape rooms: -You can book the place solo. You don't need to be partnered with strangers who are going to speed run the place. -There is no clock anywhere. Time flies (serously, wow, it went so fast), but you aren't feeling rushed. -I was worried about it, but there aren't any "HOLYSHIT GO FAST YOU'RE GONNA DIE" vibes like some of the "escape to live" ones I've been told about. There's an alarm going off when you first get there, but it's like, a casual alarm that just reminds you that it's going off every 5 minutes or so with a light "beep". Like a friendly alarm. Nothing in here is on a time limit, constantly flashing, or constantly making noise. Nothing is designed for a panic response. This was huge for me. -The gamemaster's involvement is fluid and very immersive in the universe (but they're not in the room), so if he sees you're struggling, he steps in, in-character, to gently guide you without making you feel stupid. -Puzzles make sense, but they're also just really fun. It was a lot more of paying attention to the room's details and exploring the space than trying to solve a Rubik's cube or a slide puzzle. There were a few moments that required some actual hard, focused thought, but most of it was trying to pull together details of the space and alternative universe you're in (that are all easily available if you look around again). -There is nothing to memorize or "called back" throughout the place. You don't need to remember something that was told to you 50 minutes ago or else you can't finish it; everything you need is always easily accessible, and all the puzzles are "solve it and move on". We started by taking tons of notes on our phones just in case, and we abandoned that quickly since it wasn't necessary. -You mostly stay in the same areas, so you can put down waters or drinks and take breaks as needed. It doesn't cut you off of any of the areas, so you don't have to stress about constantly moving. -We finished it, two person, in under the average time, despite never having done an escape room in our lives. Why it was great, overall, in general: -The "alternate universe" makes it a lot more fun. At one point, you'll get to see a calendar the team made, complete with holidays and other details specific to this universe that doesn't exist in ours. It's these small touches that made me super excited (and sad I couldn't just sit and read them). -The gamemaster (Randy, I think?)'s personality was absolutely amazing. He was super friendly, and getting into his character really made it easier for us to feel okay getting into them too. -I'm not super into LARPing or playing pretend, but if you wanted to, there are free costumes and the over-the-top vibe of the gamemaster makes you feel less silly about trying it for yourself. -There's a little personified "friend" that pretty much everyone is going to fall in love with. I now think I love escape rooms, but I'm not sure any other escape room will ever compare to The Immersive Machine. There's no way for me to go but down; there's no way any other escape room will be as good as Immersive Machine was. It entirely converted me, and now I think escape rooms are the coolest thing ever. I see why it has a straight 5 stars on every review platform AND wins annual awards from the escape room social network. This is amazing.

Then, they take you into the escape room where there's some cubbies to store your personal belongings. There is only one escape room here and it's called Sal's Cybernetics and is for 2-6 people. The theme was really immersive and there were some really cool puzzles to solve! The staff increases the difficultly based on the teams progress so we got the hard version and solved everything in 42 minutes.

The premise is similar to an escape room, but there are several themed, interactive rooms that you try to progress through. Each room has a 3 minute time limit and if you pass the first challenge, a door opens to another room. Each themed room has 3 challenges total. We all had a lot of fun working together as a team. The rooms are hard to complete (at least for us lol) and some of the rooms required more physical ability. There are employees there to help you as requested, which helps if you get stuck on what you're supposed to do. The rooms are well put together, theme-wise, which adds to the experience of the challenges. There were a lot of people there, which meant a long waiting time. I feel as though we did more waiting than we did inside the rooms. Although, it didn't help that several rooms broke or weren't functioning correctly throughout the night. There's also a bar in the back where you can grab drinks and food, if you so choose. I would recommend waiting until after the experience since you have a 2 hour time limit. Overall, Bam Kazam is a unique activity to get a group of friends or family together for a night of fun and challenges! I would definitely go back again, but perhaps on a weekday or a time that would be less busy.

We ended up staying offsite and got sucked into a 4k minimum table by the pool because they said we wouldn't get in otherwise. That wasn't the case, guest or not was walking in without any problem. While we thought we could easily meet our minimum, that isn't the case because the service team takes 30 min to bring out drinks. Also, the food takes an hour to come out. Lastly, as a table, you're being forced to pay a 20% tip outside the minimum for mediocre service at best. Avoid paying for a table, it's not worth the stress or $$. I think the W management needs to look for a new company or leadership to run their pool parties. Hope this helps someone to not fall into the same trap.

Seriously, they know what they're doing here. A couple of years ago I called the Parks office to rent courts for my birthday volleyball tourney and the guy I spoke with indicated that they know they're good. If they aren't reserved, it's truly a toss up whether you can claim a court or not (even during summer). I only wish that other towns/cities could build as good courts in bulk much closer to me so the drive would be better, but a las.. I still end up at SRP weekly.

It was our last night in Arizona with plenty of time to kill before boarding our late night flight. Walking the streets of Old Town, we passed by Escape The Room and decided to try and book a last minute experience. Fortunately, my boyfriend's family and I were able to schedule a game time for three hours later. I had experienced a different Escape The Room location before which included a live "Zombie," making my previous experience a thriller. During this visit, we had to find our way out of a sinking submarine. I had low expectations for it considering I loved the Zombie aspect of my previous experience. I definitely underestimated the Submarine experience. There were 5 of us - a perfect group size for this specific game. We had a blast while solving the riddles and working together. We managed to beat the clock with about 4 minutes to spare. I really enjoyed the challenging atmosphere and having the opportunity to work with my boyfriend's family in the tense situation. The employees at the Scottsdale location were incredibly friendly. They were professional and made our group feel comfortable too. I would highly recommend trying an Escape The Room experience to anyone. It is the perfect setting for team building, but also family bonding and plenty of laughs. read more

Do not plan a birthday party at this escape room! I wish I had been forewarned. We reserved our room a month in advance and our start time was at 12PM on Saturday. They asked us to arrive no later than 11:45AM for check in so we could get right in the room at 12PM. We made sure we were all there at 11:45AM (as we had a lunch reservation directly following at 1:15PM). My 9 year old and her 10 girlfriends had to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes before they let us in. Apparently if people just show up that day with no reservation, they let them in YOUR room that you reserved and you have to wait until they are done, even if you paid to get in at 12PM. Terrible way to run a business. In all fairness, the people working there were very sweet and trying hard to accommodate us, but weren't able to get us in until almost 12:30PM. Great escape room if you have a lot of time, but not good if you are on a tight schedule, as they do not honor their "start" times, even if you have a group of 10 little girls waiting for 45 minutes. read more

Me and my boyfriend have gone to many escape rooms and succeeded, the western heist was the only one we had ever failed and being challenged like that is really impressing! I loved the detail it really made you feel like you were in a bank in the 1900s! Super super cool and cant wait to try another room. Patrick was our clue master and he was amazing! Super funny and made our experience amazing! He was super informative and patient with us with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend more than two people for these rooms aha! I would suggest a stronger magnet though!!!! (You know what Im talking about). Also, some things in the room we did wouldn't make sense if you didn't have prior knowledge about the 1900s (like the phone number or the time when most shoot outs happen), something in the room should hint at that information or inform us of it. Had an awesome time at this escape room with my group! The room itself was super engaging, well-designed, and had a great mix of puzzles that kept all of us involved the whole time. We had so much fun working together, and it was honestly such a good feeling when we finally beat the room. Huge shoutout to our game master, Jasper who was amazing. Super friendly, encouraging, and really added to the experience. The timing and hints were perfect and made the game even more enjoyable without taking away from the challenge. Definitely a fan! Went to a team offsite for work here, takes about an hour to complete. Some of the clues or puzzles were a little too easy to find.... easy as in, you may stumble into an answer to a clue that you have not even found yet so you just "keep it in your back pocket" until you find the right question. The whole point is to find about 6 keys and each key is found by solving a clue/puzzle/riddle. I was kind of hoping there would be a little more of a scare factor, but it's actually quite casual and thrill-free. Anyways, all in all I would do it again but only if I had a group of 10 people. If you don't have enough people when you make a reservation they end up paring you with strangers (awkward when you're locked in a room for an hour). read more

This place was a Blast, It was my 7th Escape room in AZ. The price wasn't too bad for what it was, and It seemed like they put a lot back into the rooms. Everything seemed to have a great flow to it in the room we did (The Apartment). The cluemasters were very friendly and very helpful. They usually gave us a bit of help right as we felt it was needed, and did so without us needing to ask or beg for help. The Decor was a bit plain but its an Apartment so what can you expect, but the puzzle and the challenge more than made up for it. I look forward to going back and trying the other room read more

Absolutely amazing. I don't know why people are saying terrible customer service. My family and I have bought out room 3 times in the last year. First The Apartment which was amazing (we didn't escape) and then we bought out The Submarine. This time there were too many glitches and the clue giver was not very good so we were extremely disappointed but when I let Escape the Room AZ know they gave us vouchers for a return visit at no charge to us. So then we did The Agency and it was a blast. We are already planning when we can return to buy out The Dig and go on our next adventure. read more

Challenging and fun gameplay. I have played online Escape the Room games for years and the real-life experience of the Dig did not disappoint. There was one instance in which the mechanical functioning of a light did not clearly display the correct clue but the hints helped clear up the confusion. The gameplay is pretty linear so it may be difficult for large groups to stay fully engaged when a clue can only be worked on by one person at a time but otherwise, I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced and mentally stimulating activity. read more

The Hill Group took an hour on Friday at the end of the day to have a little fun as a team (Bill Kellogg was busy helping a client so he missed it. So dedicated.) We went to Escape the Room in Scottsdale and escaped The Apartment. We thought that was the appropriate Escape the Room to attempt. We made it out of the room just in the knick of time with 57 seconds to spare. The staff at Escape the Room AZ was friendly and helpful. We had so much fun. I organized a corporate team builder with Escape the Room AZ. All 17 people LOVED it!!! We split up into 2 teams and did the Bank Heist (Team Bonnie & Clyde) and the 80's Rec Room (Team REO Speedwagon). Both teams barely made it out and said it was really challenging. This is the best escape room I have been to. The rooms are set up to make you feel like you are in the actual setting. I love that it isn't all locks and numbers, there are a variety of ways to get through the room. The bank heist room is apparently the hardest one there but my boyfriend and I were able to escape! I can't wait to go back and try another room. The staff is awesome too. Doug was a great host to aid in our escape. read more

The escape room was a birthday trip for my mom. There were six of us and we experienced "The Apartment". Not one of us had any clue what to expect. It was so much fun. I would highly recommend it to my friends and I am going to the one in Denver for a bachelorette party. This has to be the most immersive escape room I've done! The staff did an amazing job getting into character and setting the scene. Normally at escape rooms you have to ask if you want a clue but here they just gave you a few. One of the times I felt like I would've figured it out on my own in time. I don't want a clue unless we're really stuck haha. We finished with 10 minutes to spare. After we finished, our host asked if we had any explanations and further explained some of the puzzles. I also love the speakeasy-style hidden entrance with the code word and you can order milkshakes from Soda Jerk from the escape room lounge after you complete the escape room. I definitely want to come back and do the other two escape rooms here!

It still felt authentic and immersive. Again, several puzzles I haven't experienced before that made you think differently. Every single puzzle (not using more specific words here to protect the secrecy of the rooms) worked perfectly and we were able to navigate without any issues. Throwing us under the bus but we did use a couple hints in each room. Very minimal though! Highly recommend trying their rooms out whether you're an expert or an amateur. The room was very well decorated and designed - I really liked the feeling of the room and it fit the scenario that was described which is a big reason why we chose this one over some others. You're briefed on a tablet when you get into the room about rules and then the scenario itself and timer starts ticking. You also request hints off of the tablet so everything was pretty smooth off of that. For our scenario we got to the last puzzle and ultimately failed. Did think the last puzzle was not in the best condition so kind of threw us off if we were doing it correctly/scared to break anything. But my group really thought the puzzles were creative and challenging and not a walk in the park even with the hints. Loved the immersiveness and challenge of the room. Would come again.
