For the past 2 weeks I've been on the hunt for specific treasures. On my first visit, I asked the Manager if they had seen these type treasures in their huge store and they said 'yes, please take all the time you have to look through all the store selections.' So I started my search knowing that I only had so much free time that particular day, and I am thrilled to say I found what I was hoping to find and I made my purchase quickly. The second visit was just as productive and I found another treasure of personal value. Now, I wasn't looking for junk on either of my searches and I didn't see any junk. This is one of the largest and most full antique malls I've been to. Theirs was definitely a large range of stuff to choose from.

The place is huge, so lots of booths and lots to look at. It was too much flea market (or yard sale) stuff for me. I prefer more antiques.

Purchased a couple of things here this morning. The staff wasn't friendly, acted like it was a burden to get up and ring up my purchases. Very disappointing! read more

Not super excited, some was fair price som was way over but do not find a deal to go home with, spent about hr or so looking around, kinda junkie and can't even get in some booths. Seen Monster Jam trucks 1:64 you get at Walmart for $5 there for sale for $10, seen Walmart tennis shoes the same way. read more

This place allows dealers to sell fake items under vintage price tags. When you try to get them to hold their dealers accountable for false advertising, they are rude and refuse accountability all together. No refund. I would not trust the quality or validity of a single item from this store. Dealer 87 deals in fake "vintage purses". They cut off Brahmin tags and sew them to fake leather bags and advertise them as real. I would not shop or rent a booth here to sell my wares because they do not have ethics or customer care in mind. This place should be shut down or sold to better management. read more

Meh. A few good things but mostly junk. The coolest thing we saw was an antique bed with really nice wood carvings. Of course, this would be great if you had the right kind of home for it. Would be cool in a bed and breakfast or a period piece house. Some vendors are selling handmade items but there are only a couple of those. Most of the stuff in here seemed to be people looking to sell junk from their house. This is a flea market where the booths are set up but no one is actually there selling anything. You take your items up to the register for purchase. So don't expect to get the price down. It is what it is. Some people will mark the whole booth a percentage off so be sure to check for the signs. We didn't even dig through every booth and still spent over an hour walking around. It's a flea mall so there's a mix of true antique, country charm, toys, glass, clothes, and the newer resale items (laundry detergent, diabetic socks, etc). There was a booth with handmade all wood furniture. I could tell it was new because of the wood smell. They have carts which was nice since I had my large purse and I'm always worried about breaking tn something. It also has bathrooms. read more

Had to give a shout out to this place it's a great place for seniors to walk and shop to get their steps in and it helps me get some much needed shopping therapy. It is a treasure trove of items from vintage 17th century antiques all the way to the junk people pull out of their garage, but it's a fun way to spend some time and if you sell on eBay or have a antique store most all the vendors will work with you on coming down in price usually if something is over $50. And the store is ran by family and friends so it makes it even more special to see the kids working there as well. They used to have a hotdog stand on Saturdays but they have taken that out yet might be fun if they had a food truck come in occasionally. And they usually make the 15 minute closing announcements so get in line early to avoid the rush. Happy Shopping!!!! read more

This place is so great! We have been coming here for a few years now and honestly within the last year, iv noticed the booths never really change, and they have allowed a ton of booths to carry "New" stuff such as cloths and new furniture, in a 'ANTIQUE' store which i really don't care for. Although i have found some nice things in the last few years, i would appreciate if they would clean it up a little and only allow antiques, and not booths of cloths like i have seen in there numerous times. The over all cleanliness of the store is pretty average, but the cashiers are kinda unprofessional, i have been numerous times where they have been eating while checking us out, which i find very unpleasant. But other than those things, this place is good and id recommend stopping in to see what treasures you might find if your in the area! read more

I've been coming to this flea mall for years, and it is enjoyable every time. There is a nice mix of antiques and more modern goods, so I can find something new to buy with every trip. It is a very large building, and prices vary on each little booth. read more

As a fan of all thing eclectic I was able to find a number of great personal and professional items to keep my thrifting hiatus worth the wait. This place has not very much good antiques now . As you walk in the door it looks good enough but when you start walking you see they are like a bad yard sale now. And the few good things you do see is so high you just laugh and keep on going. They have one aisle that says 80% off and that is jacked up and they shouldn't allow it , it says 80 off and they mark it all up to like 4 times the worth and say take 80 off. I won't be going back. I have given it a few months and went back today but no more. There was one booth that had a bunch of nasty jeans just piled up in it. This is a poor excuse for a antique store now. Just a junky yard sale. But on a lighter side the people who work there are all so kind. read more

I found some great gems in this place but I have never experienced worse customer service. There were 16 year-olds working at the register.. she was yelling at 5:30 for us to go ahead and check out because she wanted to leave.. meanwhile, after she checked me out i asked her to bag my items and she threw the bag at me, also threw a $180 dollar ring i was purchasing at me... All 3 were so rude. i spent 300 dollars and was treated horrible. So sad i will not give my hard earned money to such a terribly empolyed business. read more

I'm a sucker for those roadside Flea Mall & Antique Centers. They're a blast because you never know what you'll find, looking for a 1970's local church's cookbook, chances are you find it. Need to complete your mothers Corningware casserole dishes, they're there it just requires some searching. Bama has a great assortment. There were many booths geared towards those of us with testosterone, plenty of fishing & hunting choices, and more beer glasses than your local bar. Of course there were the standard mason jar offerings scattered among the headboards and dressers. A fun place to kill a few hours. read more

Not worth the drive from Birmingham. They have great things however they have A LOT of non-antiques that are over priced. This place is a cross between a thrift store and an antiques but with high prices. Every record we found was WAYYYY to much money and all scratched. Plus they watch my boyfriend and I like hawks and where not friendly at all. We don't want to steal your crap! But there is a REALLY nice lady that sells Pyrex in her booth. She is worth going for. Her stuff is higher in price than I would spend but it was nice chatting with her and looking at all her pretty things. read more

Something for everyone! Probably one of, if not THE best antique mall /flea markets I've ever been too. We were driving through Birmingham on our way back to memphis from Atlanta. Great flea mall. Everything from actual antiques to faux-tiques to end lots. A great way to kill a few hours digging for treasure. It's all consignment booths so there is no dickering, unfortunately. Some booths are very overpriced and some are reasonable. Seems to rotate fairly often. I go there 3-4 times a year and always see different things. I love this place, and my kids love it too. You never know what treasure you'll find here. And if you've "gotta have it", get it now because there is a good chance it won't be there later. I was about to buy a bed at Rooms To Go for my daughter ($700), and a couple of days before I was planning to order it, my mom found the EXACT same bed here for $225! Needless to say I jumped in the car, came right over and bought it! I also bought a couple of refurbished furniture pieces that are just beautiful. Staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

This flea market has everything you can think of. This is a very big flea market that separated to different booth for sellers. Some stuffs are second hands and some that are brand new. Price are also varies. Not everything is cheap. You have to search for the good deal. I got a new white blouse for 99 cents. Amazing! I would say I take off one star because of the loose price tags. I bought the shoe while I was walking the tag was gone. It can't be sold so I had to trace back and find the tag. Overall this place is worth visiting. read more

This is a good flea mall if you are the customer. However if you are a vendor you might as well give all your products away as the employees there do not know what they are doing. They will sell you products at discount prices without authorization. When you bring it to their attention they will not refund the money to you and tell you that it was too late. They owe me $50.00 dollars where they undercharged the customer and refuse to refund the money to me. However, they paid me too much on my last check and when I did not tell them about it (just to see what they would do) they decided to serve me with a move out notice. They told me that I was being dishonest by not telling them about their mistake, however when I did tell them about their mistake they would not do anything about it. The roof leaks so bad that the buckets setting in the floor the customers sometimes can not get down the isle. The owners are so cheap they will not run the air conditioner in the summer and shopping is very uncomfortable. . I was not only a vendor there but I was also a customer. I will tell everyone that I know about the incompetent employees and the money hungry owners. and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FLEA MALL TO ANYONE. I know that you all think that I am a bitter person, however I am not the only vendor that they have done things like this to. I visit this mall frequently. It is a very eclectic store with everything from used appliances to a few good antiques. It looks like a lot of their stuff has been there for a long while. I go when I need a book to read--there are a lot of used books. Wouldn't call this any kind of antique mall--seems to be mainly used kitchen items, clothes, shoes and old videos. read more

One word: RUDE. I have never encountered such a complete lack of customer service or business sense especially in the south. They started shutting the lights off 30 minutes before closing. Fifteen minutes before closing it was so dark we had to use our cellphones to see the merchandise. When we went up to the register 3 minutes before closing time they were carrying off our pile of books we said we were planning to purchase and said the registers were all shut down. We talked them into taking cash and when we commented that this was a terrible way to do business they responded that they get plenty of business so apparently they have no interest in getting more. Utterly ridiculous. They generally have good merchandise at good prices but it's not worth the bad experience. We certainly will not be shopping here again. read more

OWNED BY THE SAME PEOPLE AT GARDENDALE...... Do not become a dealer here. If you are already a dealer I suggest you get your stuff out before they take it. They will find loop holes to take it as their own and sell it. Sent my renters check on the 3rd. I called them on the 23rd to see why it had not cleared. Informed me that they did not receive it and they had cleaned all my stuff out and rented my booth to someone else. They sold my stuff for a discounted price and kept the money. Manager refused to call me back and still has not called me. He gave me no verbal or written notice. I believe they did it so that they could rent the booth out at a higher cost and steal my stuff to sell as their own. I have reported them to the better business bureau. read more
