Upon walking in I was greeted by a very friendly man and my first impression of the nail salon was that it was clean and very busy. I didn't have an appointment so I was sure I wouldn't be able to be seen but they were very accommodating. They had me soaking in the massage chair rather than in the waiting room (which was amazing) for about 10 minutes and also offered me a beverage. I am a licensed nail technician my self and let me start by saying this is probably the best salon in Yuba City. As soon as you walk in you'll notice it's very clean and organized, as well as neatly decorated. They follow all safety protocols and don't just care about the money like most salons. I only get pedicures here, but i've seen they can do some cute designs. As for pedicures, I will not go anywhere else. I have to say that my daughter And I were not impressed. We went to Bamboo nails to both get pedicures while I was visiting from out of town. We had a very difficult time with communication. We got the deluxe pedi with a massage that was very lack luster. The service was also way too expensive for the service provided. When we got home, we noticed that the polish on our toes was all over the skin, like a child had painted them. after taking a shower, my daughter noticed that on one on her toes, the polish had peeled completely off. We went back the next day and they repainted her one toe. I decided not to complain about the poor paint job, although I was unhappy. The next evening, after a shower, the polish on my daughter's 10 toes, all peeled completed off. We did not go back this time. Go to Magic nails in Yuba City! Ask for Tiffany. My sister and I did a walk in appt for pedis. Was busy, but they got us right in! Mike did my pedicure. He was extremely nice, thorough and gentle with my feet and nails. He gave a great pressure calf massage. The business was clean and esthetically pleasing. Staff was welcoming and attentive. We both chose the level 4 $55 pedi. I got regular polish (no extra charge) and my sister got Gel which was an additional $10. Based off this visit I would recommend! read more

It was my first visit, and I had a pedicure done. I was referred to try the twins. However, they were busy, so I was serviced by an older woman. When it came time for painting and design on my toes, she refused to help me find a color that matched my nails. She tossed the color examples at me and told me to look. I explained that I'd like her help since she was probably more familiar with how the colors looked on the nail. She later told me the French tip design I wanted would be "ugly." She rolled her eyes when I mentioned that the gold color she was attempting to use as an accent line under the French tip didn't match. She then lied and said that they didn't have any other gold colors. I then nicely explained that I saw other gold colors on the sample colors she brought over earlier. She seemed to rush me like she just wanted me to be ok with whatever. I am a big tipper and don't mind spending a lot of money on my nails. It's unfortunate that she treated me so rudely. Then to make it worse when I was paying I attempted to tell the guy who said he was the owner about the poor service, he asked me what happened then immediately cut me off when I started trying to explain what happened. He was obviously not interested in listening, and he was very rude, defensive, and accusatory towards me. I was very disappointed by the way I was treated.To respond, yes my nail lady made me late, you called a few minutes after my appointment time and I advised I would be late and when I arrived I was ok with whomever was available. I was not rude to the nail tech by simply explaining what color and design I wanted. The yt women next to me didn't know what happened or that the nail tech tossed the nail colors at me, she just assumed the situation and called me (a blk woman) rude. I told the person I was on my phone with about the Karen who didn't know what happened but decided to say something to me. Respectfully speaking up for myself as far as the color of my nails and design and expecting good service shouldn't result in rude service or you refusing to take accountability or train your staff on how to treat people. This business is very unprofessional, as shown by your response, still making inaccurate and unfounded assumptions. I have never had an issue like this. read more

Forty-five dollar waste, unfortunately. My guy finished my toes before the girl getting the basic pedicure next to me, he pulled my cuticles making my nail beds raw, he continually dug his long fingernail unto my toes when he painted them (I had to tell him 3-4 times, the worked next to him told him several times), I paid extra for callous removal and hot stones... he scrubbed my calves SO HARD with a very gritty scrub, making my legs so raw my pants hurt to touch them, and the hot stones were burning hot on my freshly raw skin... and he didn't massage with them even a full 60 second! The whole thing was just so half way done... I kept having to wipe under my legs because he got scrub all over the chair and it was irritating the back of my calves, I left with scrub still in between my toes, legs raw, and the guy who did my pedicure and the one next to them were CLEARLY sick as neither of them could stop coughing. The tip of one of my toes has an abrasion that's bleeding. There was a hair left in my wet polish and I tried to pick it out and it messed up the polish too. read more

Went in for a pedicure and left so disappointed. My toe nails were cut way too short when I requested a trim. I also asked to keep my toe shape square and the lady rounded them. My toenails will grow back but I'm still disappointed I spent $50 on a service I was not happy with. read more

I have done and experienced a lot of great service. This has to be one of the worst. I come into bamboo with the expectation of great service since their prices and reviews reflect that. Although I come into bamboo and the tech who did my nails with beyond rude and unprofessional he was on his phone throughout the whole set more then I ever was. At one point even told me to wait and hold on so he could finish a message. I was beyond frustrated because I had somewhere to be after and was just on his phone. So you think since this man is on his phone he has all this time to do good quality work. No, he rushed my whole set did the worse set and when i POLITELY asked him to maybe touch it up or something. He verbally reacted in a sigh or a grunt not sure what it was. Somewhat resembling a way a child reacts. Worse service EVER. To too this off it was 72 dollars and I express my disappointment at the front they tell me to come in the next day at 12. I come in and they have me wait 30 minutes what is the point of an appointment if you don't follow it. They really have no consideration for other people time. Then I ask to change the color of my nails although it is a very simplistic design and it's going to be 25 dollars. Truly unbelievable will not be coming again. Have been a few times. In the beginning they were very good. About six months ago I got a pedicure and the person doing my pedicure cut my nails so awful I got two ingrown toenails. I recently went a couple weeks ago to give them another try and had a different person assisting me. I asked them not to cut my nails at all as I was healing from the ingrown. She continued to do whatever she wanted and cut my big toenail with cuticle clippers, not even regular clippers, and cut the nail so slanted I now have a horrible ingrown toenail after just a few weeks. Not sure who is training them to cut nails like that but it's pretty unacceptable because I know they do not train you to cut nails like that in beauty school. Especially when I requested no cutting. Won't be going back. Just a heads up for everyone else. Two stars because it was clean. read more

I scheduled an appointment showed up to my appointment and was rescheduled 4times while sitting in the salon. Owner Lynn finally worked on my manicure and was rushed due to being the last customer after being reschedule 4x and Lynn did a horrible job. I tried amo day to schedule another appointment with someone else in the shop and as I called to confirm my appointment come to find out my nail tech was out of town! First I wanna say it is a very clean and sanitary salon i've been here many times before but this visit just felt like it needed to be shared! I went in for a mani and pedi and had my baby with me and when I started my nails I had a worker ask if I wanted her to hold the baby while I got my nails done! I was super suprised but pleased and super appreciative! My nails look amazing they have great music.
