Earlier this week was invited to dinner by new friends on the island to this Steakhouse in Boracay…read more Was told this is a Swiss Steakhouse, with many German and Austrian inspired dishes on the menu. The location is right in the middle of the commercial hub of Station 2 near D'Mall on White Beach. Walking up the stairs from the beach, patrons will be greeted by attentive staff to be seated at their tables. The sides were average, we shared the buttered vegetables, salads, and sides. While most people at the table had ordered the tenderloin steak, I had opted for the T-Bone steak, medium rare. While others at the table had quite enjoyed their tenderloin, I did not have an opportunity to try a piece, so this review is based purely on the T-Bone I had ordered, it must have been the chewiest T-Bone I've ever had in my life, the cut was awful. The buttered sauces for the steak was decent, though it took ages for me to even cut a piece off to put in my mouth, and no matter how many chews the steak is just a big lump in my mouth that I would need to swallow with the help from my glass of wine. And the wine, the staff would start pouring from the 2nd bottle of wine we had ordered into the new glass of wine for some friends at the table who weren't even halfway finished with your first glass. Additionally, the waitress had poured the 2nd bottle into the wrong glass that had wine from our 1st bottle, so now it's a weird mix. Though the waitress was apologetic, she initially made no attempt to correct the mistake, just seemed nervous and this lead some of us to believe this particular restaurant punishes their staff by docking mistakes from their pay which was confirmed by staff later, and we told her not to worry. We brought the mistake pour later with the Italian/Swiss manager and told him not to punish the staff, just to be aware of the mistake. While I understand they probably couldn't have opened another of this particular bottle to pour for just 1 glass, they could have offered a complimentary glass from their house wine. If true in this instance, I don't believe in the concept of restaurants levying punitive salary deductions from staff where it's common in Asia, it generally makes the service less responsive to mistakes, etc. Improvements need to be made with responsiveness to service mistakes, and though the other cuts of steaks like tenderloin seem to be good, if the establishment is unable to source decent quality T-Bone, they should take it off their menu or make it unavailable. It could also be poor quality control in the kitchen with checks on the quality of the steak.

This is the worst steakhouse I've ever been. The steaks' cut was not right, it's dry, it's…read moreoverpriced, it's just not good. Pls. don't waste your money eating here.

The only unfortunate part is our 4th buddy couldn't make the reunion, still it was a great time in a nice restaurant open to the beach and ocean. We had a guitarist playing & singing a very nice collection of very relaxing music According to my buddy Boracay Beach was rated the no 1 Beach in Asia. Great prices if you can bargain!! I loved it and the attendants are pretty friendly once you speak to them. My family came here based on a recommendation from a local. It's in the middle of many other flea market style vendors. We saw from big fresh tiger shrimp, huge live lobster, crabs, tuna, sea urchins and more! They were all alive and kicking. You can tell these are fresh from the sea and not old from a tank at your super market! My hubby and I ordered from this vendor, the hugest lobster there and bargained for it. You can't buy this from the states and cook it like this!! This will fit at least 4 people. Once we ordered all the other seafoods with family, each seafood vendor is affiliated with a place to cook the seafood. They have different ways to cook it for you. It was cooked just right and we did not regret spending the cash for this to be cooked... If you are not into seafood, you don't want to come here as it does smell like seafood. It was all worth it for our lunch!! My tummy was satisfied!!! Yumm

Finally found it on a tourist map and it is in D'Talipapa plaza; around the corner of my hotel. I went during peak hours and it wasn't busy at all. No sides are included with the seafood prices, not even rice. So expect to spend here. Better to dine with a squad instead of solo - so you can enjoy a broader selection of seafood & sides and split the hefty bill. A live one pound warm water lobster set me back $34 USD! I can get one pound cold water Maine lobsters at 99 Ranch for $8-10 lb. Had I known I could have gotten live Russian king crab in Seoul, I would have skipped the lobster here for this price. According to Joey's review, you can bring your seafood from the wet market outside and have them cook it. This might be a cheaper alternative than buying from them directly. I opted for garlic butter but it tasted a bit odd - like soy sauce was used. So just go with butter. It was cooked properly - not over or under. Service was brisk and they spoke good enough English.

First off, I was glad to see the restaurant had A/C and was fairly clean. The service is about average. This was my first time to a seafood restaurant that you first have to go to the market across the way and haggle over the biggest freshest seafood you can find and try to get them to the lowest prices, well all I can say was, fun! I did enjoy it, so 2 lobster and 2 large crabs... I heard we got a good deal, yet I don't know, but oh well, we're on vacation and today was seafood night! game on! When you get to the restaurant they have a paper which gives you a choice of how you wish them to prepare your meal... Everything looked good but I'm old school, i just went steamed for the crabs, butter garlic for one lobster and a chili something else for the other lobster. Overall... the food was delicious! We immensely enjoyed the food! If you find yourself here and don't know where to go, I would certainly give this place a go. The food was well prepared and tasted great.
