Get LOADS of delicious ice cream at extremely low prices. They offer soft serve and hand dipped. Any reasonable person would only order a Jr or Small size, anything larger than that and your tummy while certainly be aching later. They have at least 30 different hand dipped flavors including Blue Moon and Superman (Midwestern favorites), Mackinac Island Fudge, traditional flavors like chocolate vanilla, and butter pecan. I ordered the double chocolate almond chip (almonds covered in chocolate and tossed into a vat of chocolate ice cream) in a waffle cone. My daughter had chocolate soft serve with sprinkles and my son enjoyed superman. The baby just looked longingly on as he enjoyed his refreshing bottle. They have a variety of soft serve flavors too (banana, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, twist, etc.) as well as sundaes. This place is a gem, though it's certainly not hidden so be prepared to wait in line!

I love lots of ice cream at low prices especially when it's so Hot out! I was do delighted to see that only a few people was in line when I got there. I must've came after the lunchtime rush which was ok with me because normally the line is wrapped around the building! Soooo many combinations to choose from. I ended up getting one of my favorites the cherry cordial in a waffle cone. My family got cookies n cream in waffle cone and vanilla twist in cone. They give you large amounts of ice cream. The jr. size was overly enough for any one...it has anywhere from 2-3 large scoops of ice cream! The staff was very friendly and suggested many ideas for those whose unsure of what to get. They even have a policy of "try before you buy". So you can sample as many different flavors of ice cream as you want before you make a final decision of what you really want. I love this because at a lot of places you can't try things and you may get stuck with something you may not like....this usually ends in you buying your "usual". So overall I was overlyjoyed, cooled-down, and happy about my experience at banana boat! I think they won me over for every HOT day! Thanks Banan Boat :)

Black cherry with double chocolate salted caramel on the bottom. Yum!

Completely shocked at how large the delicious portions are! My wife jokingly said we can't come back if we've already eaten a meal.

Horrible customer service. Didn't say you're welcome when I said thank you loud and clear.

The best place for ice cream if your in the area. So many options for an affordable price. Serving sizes are giant though!

What an apt name…read more Indeed, this place seems to be some sort of hodge podge whatnot shop. Seriously, if you want to find the ice cream parlor, you have to go all the way to the back of the store, but first you have to walk through a weird version of a small town "gamer's paradise" of sorts. They have D & D stuff, video games, faux medieval style weaponry and what appeared to be the tools of the trade for LARPing and Cosplay fans. I don't know. It was weird. However, the ice cream shop in the back wasn't half bad. The serve Dean's Country Fresh brand ice cream, which isn't all that special, I know. I can buy that by the gallon in the grocery store for less, but it's an ice cream shop and they don't all sell specialty Guernsey Farms Dairy brand ice cream treats, now do they? Let's be honest here- most of them offer up the same stuff by the scoop that we can easily pick up for a whole lot less at the local 7-11, I'm just saying. Still, Dean's is actually pretty decent and I will buy it now and then again at the grocery store, so I'm not complaining- seriously. Anyway, back to this particular ice cream shop. Yes, it was definitely odd, with a rather strange layout and all, but they had quite a few flavors, including Peanut Butter Moose Tracks, Mackinac Island Fudge, Maple Nut, and Caramel Caribou, just to shortlist a few of the most popular varieties sold here. The selection was adequate and they didn't appear to be out of any flavors, which was good, so there's that. I hate it when my favorite ice cream flavor is out. What a bummer! My husband and I both ordered single scoop waffle cones, which came up to about $5.50 total, which isn't bad, I guess, for an ice cream parlor. Isn't that what most ice cream cones cost nowadays? Their single scoop waffle cones seemed pretty average in size to me. They weren't generous nor skimpy, just average, more or less. Truth be told, there isn't any competition in the area from what I could see, so I can't see why they shouldn't become a mainstay around the immediate vicinity since they appear to be the only game in town as far as ice cream shops are concerned, other than maybe McDonald's. I don't live around here, but the thought of having a nearby ice cream shop within walking distance would likely be a real asset to a lot of folks around here. Aside from ice cream novelties, they sold Kogel's hot dogs, coffee, popcorn and other snack foods as well. While not exactly a takeout spot, they did have a few other options on their menu other than ice cream. Customer service was a little lacking. We weren't greeted or anything when we came in and we had to ask where the ice cream shop was located. Heck, the employees mostly kept their heads down and paid no heed to the customers around them, although they weren't rude or anything of the sort, just not friendly. The guy waiting on us said they'd only bought the place maybe a month or so ago and they were still getting used to things. Maybe, who knows? While they do accept credit cards- they use an Intuit card reader on a tablet- they had a hard time processing my "black card." He had to manually punch it in on the computer because the card reader was already damaged, which he mentioned during the transaction. I wonder how the card reader could get damaged within a month of opening, but that's an answer we'll probably never really know. So, if you're paying with a card, you might have to wait a bit (with dripping ice cream in hand, no less) while they process the transaction, unless you decide to pay with cash. Hopefully, they will get a new card reader in place as soon as possible.

They liked it. I did not…read more I went with a group, and we had a huge order, but I wasn't very hungry. I decided to just get a caramel and marshmallow concrete mixer with vanilla ice cream. I looked at the photo they had with the caramel drizzled over the concoction and it looked lovely. We ordered and were given a plastic number so we went and sat down at a table. They have booths and tables with QR codes at each so you can order right from there. In about 10 minutes the order arrived to the table from a very friendly young lady. The family quickly scarfed down some slightly squished looking burgers, nicer looking chicken sandwiches, pale fries, cheese curds, and seemed happy overall. I was handed what looked like a vanilla shake. I tried it. It was soupy and easy to suck through a straw. It just tasted like a caramel milkshake. This is not what I ordered. It was my one thing and it wasn't great. I sat there and drank it though- Mostly because I was boxed in with the seating arrangement. I scanned the QR code at the table and placed another order for concrete mixers for the family when they were done with their meal. I offered to go up and get them, and the family moved around to let me out of the corner. I told the staff what happened with my concrete mixer. They offered condolences, but other than that they didn't really care. I watched as the girl making them for drive thru orders whipped them into a pureed consistency. I pointed out that's not what the sign showed and asked that they get someone else to make them for my family. They did and my family was happy. I paid about $100 between the two orders for 3 people and I got one truly disappointing milkshake. I told my family I don't want to come back here. I hope I don't have to in the future. It was not a good experience and when they get it wrong, they don't make it right.

First impression the place seemed clean. Staff was friendly food looked and tasted good…read more Had dinner here 9-7-2023.
