There's plenty of parking, and they have lots of picnic tables with umbrellas as well as shaded seating in the grass, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy your treats. We tried several of their ice cream cakes and were impressed by both the portions and the value. The strawberry crunch cake was delicious, and we sampled two different versions: one with vanilla cake and another with chocolate cake layered inside. We also tried the Oreo ice cream cake and a chocolate chip cookie ice cream cake with chocolate ice cream in the center. Everything was rich, creamy, and perfect for sharing. The cake slices are huge too. At around $8 a slice, one piece could easily feed two or three people. While Kearsley Kone isn't surrounded by a lot of other businesses, it is conveniently located near a pizza place and a taco spot if you're making a meal out of your visit. Between the generous portions, reasonable prices, outdoor seating, and endless sweet treats, it's a fun place to stop on a warm Michigan day.

I stopped by here yesterday morning with my family for our morning coffee. Whenever we go on…read morevacation, we try to hit up a new coffee shop every morning, and on this morning we ended up heading over to Fireside Coffee Roasters. Its location seems to be in a residential area behind a house, and a sign inside sums it up well by saying, "weird location, great coffee." Besides its unusual location, the coffee shop itself has a merchandise area where you order and then a couple of rooms, including one with a fake fireplace. They also have some outdoor seating with blue hanging lights, which my son enjoyed. For my coffee on this morning, since they are coffee roasters, I went with an Americano while my wife chose an orange-flavored cold brew complete with orange peel inside of it. In any case, I really enjoyed my coffee here as it was smooth, dark, and rich with a great coffee flavor throughout. My wife also enjoyed her coffee here, especially the orange flavor, which can often be tricky to get through in a coffee. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our coffee, and it looked like they also had tons of baked goods available from a local baking company.

I chose a lemon, Bismarck, a cinnamon roll with maple frosting and nuts on top, two of the glazed donuts, one mixed fruit fritter, and a nutty donut. About 1/4 way home, I inhaled the Bismarck and my only regret is not getting a dozen donuts. That donut was still warm and was better than anything bought from a national chain, and you know who those are. The store is clean and kind of nostalgic.
