While most people would review this location for the clothes and customer service, I'm going to review something completely different: the building. While the store lay-out is fine and the sales associates were polite, the most spectacular thing about this location is the art-deco building. It's in fantastic condition and it's great to see a company come in and restore a piece of history. In many cities an older building is seen as an opportunity to tear it down and put up an unimpressive modern building, but it's good to see that there's an appreciation for history. read more

One star for the nifty archetechture and one star for the periodic sales. I am not a huge fan of BR in general and this location specifically. BR does not believe that short folks should wear their clothing. They do not carry short or petite length pants in the store! Incredible! I know it's South Beach and everyone is a model, but there are some of us who are not 6' tall Amazonian goddesses! What are we supposed to do? Wear sackcloth and ashes in perpetual repentance for our sub-par physiques?! This location has the tiniest women's section on the 2nd floor! It's definitely a fab shopping experience if you are a guy; not so much for the female persuasion. I will admit that I was here in August and purchased a huge volume of clothing because they had a great sale and Larry S. opened a BR charge, so everything was an additional 40% off. I even scored a pair of SHORT LENGTH pants - the sales associate made sure to inform me that they must have been a return or an exchange because NO ONE WITH SHORT LEGS IS PERMITTED TO SHOP AT BANANA!!! I'm lucky they didn't escort me from the store for the crime of having stubby legs. That said, I do love my purchases and I loved getting a total of 55% off even more! read more

I love this place because of the historical designation their building has. Other than that, it's one of the only stores that's withstood the ever changing facade of Lincoln Mall. Khakis are their best suit but dont overlook the blouses. I'm a fan of clean cut colors and fits on casual wear made in a proper way. Slacks are always a solid reason to come here; and they offer the reliably perfect pants tailored to fit most body shapes. Pay attention to the shakes of the fits offered to each pant option because it's more complicated than just fit, flare, or boot. The staff here has always been nice and are attentive with handing you alternately get similar items while you're in the dressing room making it less stressful to find the perfect pants you came to buy. What I like the most is that their blouses are still breathable yet maintain that crisp and refined look which is vital to own in Miami's heat for essential corporate attire. Plus, I scored some navy slacks that don't wrinkle quickly when I sit and fit like a glove. read more

I walk in there and instantly I head upstairs to the women's dept feeling ever so jipped by the difference in floor space and wondering who the hell decided the store's layout. This has to be my least favorite BR location. The displays seem to focus on outfits for boring conservative older people. I know BR can have great clothes, but this location seems to want to keep it a secret. Having to go upstairs to see the women's clothing in a cramped location doesn't suit me. Speaking of suits, I find their suiting collection very limited. Unlike other locations, I walk in here and do not see anything that I want to buy. Strange, because I can walk into the Merrick Park location and drop beacoup bucks on the same clothes. What gives? I think the SoBe locale is more concerned about catering to men. The Men's section is vast. The Monogram collection is updated and clean. The sale section is large and well organized. The associates are professional, bilingual, and not intrusive. They are in ear shot but, let you soak up the collections on your own. All BR's should conduct business in this way. I was able to find a button-down from the Monogram collection at 70% off. It was amazing! There were other great markdowns also, but I'm sure their supply is ravaged every weekend. The only criticism I have is that the collection represented more of a fall feel rather than winter. I understand that autumn officially began only a few weeks ago, but most stores tend to display a season ahead. Just some food for thought... read more

This is a great store if you are able to pay full price. Cool clothes, great service, and well, a standard Banana republic. The reason I am actually writing this review is because I am annoyed with the sales signs out front. I often walk by and an drawn in by the sign advertising 25, 50, even 70% off, toying with my belief again and again that there is actually a sale. BUT the sale is always limited to a few items in the back, mostly in sizes small or X-L. I know it is a business, yet I find this a bit deceptive. I just hope I learn to stop falling for that great sale sign that leads to no where. read more

On Lincoln road stayed on the first floor which is the men's section, partner in crime needed a dress shirt for dinner that night, associates are helpful but its a bit confusing when more than one wants to help you because you cant tell cashier to split commission 3 ways right?. so remember to stick to one employee...We needed a tie to be tied/knotted for us... :/ and the guy tried but i think he needs a bit of practice, but A for effort! remember you are on lincoln road..no private parking for banana customers. read more

I'm always disappointed when I stop in this BR. Anyone who knows me knows a large chunk of my wardrobe comes from BR, so I have been to many. The people that work in this place have never been nice to me. The last time I popped in here no one even greeted me. Plus, there were about 5 women working in the upstairs practically screaming in Spanish to each other. I felt like I was invading their teenage gossip session. I have never actually purchased something from this BR because every time I come in I pretty much make a bee line to the door. The BR on Collins & 8th is much better with nice employees. The only reason I will come to this one is if they have something the other store is sold out of. Sorry BR on Lincoln, you're fired. I gave you many chances. read more

Great location and beautiful store! I came by to get a few things from the farmer's market in my running clothes. I walked in and 4 employees walked by me in the 20 minutes I spent around the store and NOONE stopped to say hello or ask if I need anything. They also don't have any petite sizes which is unfortunate since the other BR in Miami offer a greater selection. I decided to leave what I was going to get and go to the location in Dadeland since they actually acknowledge your presence. read more

The sales team upstairs in the ladies department was fine, a bit hit and miss. They weren't particularly friendly but if you needed help, they made an attempt to answer questions. But Maurice downstairs at the checkout was very helpful and really made the experience something to share with friends. I found a dress that I liked but they didn't have my size. He ordered it online to ship to my home address in another state, and found ways to apply various discounts on my purchases. I couldn't have been more surprised to get this kind of attentive service in South Beach. My friend also had the same experience with her purchases the day before. read more

I love Banana Republic for work clothes as their suits always fit well. Since I have lived in Miami (4 years) I have strayed away from the Lincoln Rd. location because everytime I go in there I go upstairs to a very limited selection for women as well as no one ever greets you or asks you if you need help.Today I went in during lunch for a quick peak and found a pair of pants. After trying them on in the self serve dressing room they checked me out at the counter. I paid with debit so he asked me to enter my pin and then we walked away to help another employee. I sat there and waited patiently and when he returned he started helping the customer behind me!! When he realized he forgot about me, he gave me my card, gave me my GAP bag...yes I sad GAP bag and sent me on my way..This is why I do not like this location! If in Miami Beach I have had great success at the Collins location. :-) read more
