My old sneakers were the most comfy shoes I've owned. I can walk miles on the Vegas Strip with those pair of Nike shoes without my feet hurting. It's old, it's got holes, not on the soles but the sides, I didn't care... but I agreed with the hubby only because I am not able to dry them from the boat tour at The Niagara Falls. It was soaking wet. The store is huge. All the shoes are displayed out on the floor so if you like a pair but it's not your size then you're out of luck. The aisles were in sections by gender first then size. Clearance means not the latest model shoes so don't expect the latest here. The store was organized and neat. I noticed that all the shoes are on the shelves and not strewn down messy on the floor. Eventually, I found a pair of shoes. It wasn't love at first sight but I guess it'll grow on me eventually. Because it covers such a vast area, it's best to figure out which stores you'd like to visit and drive over to them. The stores range from outlets to regular retail. You also have eateries and professional services mixed in for good measure. My go-to stores tend to be Winners, Kitchen Stuff Plus, Gap Outlet, and Krispy Kreme. The first two are next door from each other, so it's a two-for-one shopping extravaganza for me. I have found some nice merchandise at good prices at both stores. I love this Gap Outlet, as I have scored some nice discounts on jackets and clothing. I don't consume donuts often, but I love Krispy Kreme to the point where I've been known to do a donut run before heading back to the office. It takes me fifteen minutes to get here from my workplace. It's deadly and cool. Besides the stores that I have just mentioned, here's a running list of stores at Heartland that I have visited so far: - Bath & Body Works - Best Buy - Loblaws - Marshalls - Old Navy - Roots - Seafood City Supermarket Here are eateries that I have stuffed my face at: - Grill City - Heart Sushi - Jollibee - Tandoori Flame There are so many stores and eateries. I've been shopping at the Factory Shoe Outlet for several years now, and have figured out that it's…read moreone of those places you have to just check every now and then. Sometimes I find exactly what I want; other times, I can't find anything suitable. Despite the name of the store, the prices here aren't what you'd think of as "outlet low". They're pretty much similar to local shoe stores. But if you check the local newspaper, you'll probably see coupons for $5 or $10 off, and they sometimes have sales ("buy one get the second pair for half off"). Personally, I go for the Birkenstocks. The store carries a decent range of Birks, though the sizes are often hit-and-miss. The Factory Shoe Outlet's strength is in the selection - it's nice to have such a variety of popular brands and styles all in one location. And the staff is quite helpful. Though I may not always find what I'm looking for, often while I look for one particular item, I'll find another new brand to try. Finally, it's just fun to browse the aisles, so I'll likely continue to check the Factory Shoe Outlet regularly in hopes of finding a great Birkenstock on sale.
