I can't believe that I have never reviewed Heartland Town Centre. I've been visiting for years. Weird! Heartland Town Centre is your Mississauga mecca for shopping at box stores. Because it covers such a vast area, it's best to figure out which stores you'd like to visit and drive over to them. The stores range from outlets to regular retail. You also have eateries and professional services mixed in for good measure. My go-to stores tend to be Winners, Kitchen Stuff Plus, Gap Outlet, and Krispy Kreme. The first two are next door from each other, so it's a two-for-one shopping extravaganza for me. I have found some nice merchandise at good prices at both stores. I love this Gap Outlet, as I have scored some nice discounts on jackets and clothing. I don't consume donuts often, but I love Krispy Kreme to the point where I've been known to do a donut run before heading back to the office. It takes me fifteen minutes to get here from my workplace. It's deadly and cool. Besides the stores that I have just mentioned, here's a running list of stores at Heartland that I have visited so far: - Bath & Body Works - Best Buy - Loblaws - Marshalls - Old Navy - Roots - Seafood City Supermarket Here are eateries that I have stuffed my face at: - Grill City - Heart Sushi - Jollibee - Tandoori Flame There are so many stores and eateries. I haven't visited them all yet. It'll take a while! Here are some stores and eateries that I'd like to visit: - Beanwise - Bergham - California Sandwiches - Copper Branch - Crocs - Mr Puffs - The Chopped Leaf I've never had any issues parking. A bit too spread out for me, having to drive from one area to the next due to the clothing stores not being in the same square can be a pain. I'd much rather go to Vaughn mills, same thing, easier to navigate. The Krispy Kreme was great though. read more

I've lived in Mississauga for 20+ years and this is where I shop the most, though I didn't realize it until recently. Over the years, I never thought much of Heartland because it's not one focused, centralized mall like Square One. I'd stop by a couple of stores after a main trip to Walmart or Costco to quickly browse or pick something up, but I'd leave very soon. Heartland basically consists of half a dozen or so big plazas that house large outlet-type stores. Unlike an actual mall where you can aimlessly window shop, you need to have a destination or purpose in mind. That, and definitely a car. In the summer, you can actually walk in the same plaza from store to store. In the winter, not so much, unless you brought your skates and are up for the challenge. The biggest appeal of Heartland is that it actually has a large variety of stores that will serve all your different shopping needs. You can buy carrots, a new pair of jeans, and a wrench all in one general area. I personally come here to buy casual clothes, work clothes, alcohol, pet goods, groceries, etc. Actually, I usually just come to eat Costco fries and it turns into a longer trip once I pass by other stores. Key stores include Costco, Walmart, Winners, the LCBO, Petsmart, Loblaws, Dollarama, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, etc. Food options are great as well. There's your staple fast food stores, some casual restaurants, some slightly fancier options as well, but also surprisingly some smaller local shops. I used to go to Square One often, but after it was redecorated/upgraded, things got more expensive and there actually weren't that many stores I was going into there. If I'm running a bunch of errands, Heartland will have most of what I need and save me more trips across town. read more

Heartland Town Centre is the epitome of suburbia! It's like a suburban shopping plaza on steroids. It's a collection of big box stores that cover 3 corners of Mavis and Britannia. It is not an enclosed mall. You have to go outside to get from store to store. And if the stores you want to go to are not on the same strip, you will have to risk your life walking across the parking lot to get from store to store. And if the stores you want to go to are not on the same street corner, you will have to get into your car and drive to the other street corner (you could walk, but with all the heavy traffic and crazy drivers I would caution against it - and believe me, I love walking and I'm all about physical activity, but I want to live to do my next circuit!). I really only go into 3 stores at Heartland: Winners, Marshalls and Crocs (For the record, Crocs makes some fashionable (and very comfortable) high heeled and wedged sandals and shoes, they are not just clogs, lol). The Crocs here has great sales and they have lots of clearance items for cheap. My husband likes Beanwise, the store that sells coffees and teas. They had 12 K-Cups for $4 (and they were organic coffee too), so I'd say the prices are pretty good. I won't make a special trip to Heartland, but if I'm in the area for other reasons, I'll stop by. read more

One of the best shopping areas in all of Mississauga. Even though you still have to drive from strip mall to strip strip mall, plaza to plaza, I still much prefer it to the business of Square One. There are so many stores in close proximity that you are sure to find nearly anything and everything you could ever need. Restaurants are also plentiful so you will certainly not go hungry. Everything that's wrong with the suburbs. Accessible only by car (or by the optimistically named Mississauga Transit), it sprawls so much you practically have to drive from store to store. Electroncs and housewares shops and pet food stores and everything is in large quantities, and just a little bit less than you'd spend at a more convenient place. I remember back when Costco first opened and that brought a lot of attention to this area, and it just continued to grow over the years. It's strange that I've never reviewed this shopping area in Mississauga! I guess it's because I never really think of it as a whole, but rather "I'm going to that Costco" or "Let's go to that Winners" which happens to be located IN Heartland. Honestly, I avoid this area at all costs on the weekend...especially during the Summertime where it's commonplace to see a car accident at one of the intersections there. Stand-out stores that are located here that I go to, in order to frequency: - Costco (duh...but there's no gas bar here, crazy busy on the weekends) - Winners (good selection with "Red Carpet" items, but it's a really busy location as well) - HomeSense (newly opened, quite big, so there's quite a bit of selection) - Marshalls (ok, a bit more north-east, but it happens to be the closest location to me) - Best Buy (it's the closest location to me) - LCBO (maybe, if I need something and I'm in the area) There aren't really any restaurants IN Heartland that I go to as they're all chain/fast food places. That's about it. I don't really shop at Walmart, Canadian Tire, and there's a Home Depot that's closer to me. Depending on what stores you plan to visit, during warmer months, it's possible to walk to/from store-to-store, provided that you don't buy too much. Otherwise, you'll hafta drive and re-park your vehicle. Heartland is ok, if you can deal with the driving, parking, and crowds. Otherwise, find other locations if you can't deal! read more

A huge big box power centre it is one of the largest in the GTA. It has everything from a Costco down to a Dollarama. Many many restaurant options such as Harveys. My favourite is Congee Queen (read my review for info). There is also the very anticipated Seafood City as well. With such a huge site there is bound to be lots of traffic. So avoid the area during weekends. Weeknights surprisingly isn't as bad. read more

This place is huge! It's not like map where everything is under one building, you literally need a car to get around here. You can walk but if you are carrying bags and shopping you will be tired fast. The store here are suppose to be considered outlet stores or warehouse, but unless there is a big sale going on I find the prices are the same as the regular stores. I highly recommend if you are coming here plan your trip before hand because this place can get busy fast and crowded parking lots are no fun. The food options in this area are amazing. This place has a lot of shops. All the Shops are all over the place so plan to drive around into different plazas but what you get here is variety and cheaper prices as most of the shops are outlets. It is way better than a regular mall so you do tend to enjoy. If you are taking a bus or walking it would be hard to get around as there its spread over 6 to 7 plazas. Food wise there are a lot option especially if you are looking for halal food there is plenty from fast food to dine in. Various major chains are located in various plazas. Not being a fan of malls, I really like this place with all the various store and restaurant selections. Even a Costco and Krispy Kreme In the middle of it all! Driving around to different stores can be a little crazy at times, especially with this cold sub zero winter, but it allows you to easily get to the single store you're interested in and get the heck out of there. My only beef is that some of these stores call themselves outlets, but the ones I've been to have pretty high prices with very little deals, shame on them. read more

I have been living in Mississauga for about 13 years and have been working in Heartland for avout 5 years also. I've got to say, Heartland is a perfect place to shop and eat ! The convenience of having every store around you and less then a 30 min walk is amazing! You have certain plazas where they have alittle expensive clothing stores, but their are store for everything your looking for! My only complain would be to add more restaurants in other parts of Heartland but other then that. HEARTLAND is the place to be ! read more

Who doesn't like a good deal??? Heartland has a bunch of retail and food stores so there is something for everyone. These outlet stores boast much cheaper prices than what you would typically find in a mall. The only trouble is that the driving can get a little crazy because there are usually a lot of cars trying to go in every and any direction. Everything is outdoors and not connected. There are many brands like Addidas, Banana Republic, Aldo, HnM, Harry Rosen, and Calvin Klein. Food-wise there is McDonalds, Popeyes, Second Cup, Nandos and many more. read more

Shopped here since I was a kid. I live in the area and always come here to shop. Now there's not many shops that interest me to be honest, but it's a nice area to walk around. I even worked at one of the restaurants for a short summer. Overall, would recommend. read more

I heart Heartland As someone who lives in Mississauga, this is perhaps the best shopping it has to offer short of going to any real malls. Firstly, they have a Krispy Kreme. 'Nuff said. I could probably end the review right here but I'll keep going. They also have a variety of other places to eat, mostly places like Second Cup and Baskin Robins. Places to stop by quickly to be able to recharge and get back to shopping, nothing really that gourmet except Panara Bread which I would consider gourmet. Their prices are at least. In terms of actual shopping stores, everything I need (as a male) is here. They have a Banana Republic and Calvin Klein where basically my whole work attire wardrobe was derived from. They have both a BestBuy and a FutureShop there as well as a direct near by (and an EB games and The Source), so the electronics front is covered. There is also a friggen Costco and LCBO in the plaza as well. TBH I wouldn't even know which store to recommend next because all my favourite stores are here. The only disadvantages to this place are that it's not an actual mall, so you need to drive from store to store. This becomes a problem if you are directionally-challenged like me. But in today's day and age with every smartphone having a GPS, it's not that big of a deal. I still manage to find places (eventually). Overall I love this place for its convenience. huge range of stores, and generally cheaper prices. I can see why someone who is hardcore into fashion may not like Heartland, but I mean if you are into fashion that badly, what are you doing at an outlet store you know? Being out in the burbs, it's nice to be able to go to a complex that isn't a mall and to be able to get just about everything you could need. I agree that the walking/driving around there is a bit of a cluster@$&k, but I can live with it. Good choices of stores and lots of parking. read more

As a whole, I love Heartland Town Centre. Some of the individual stores are whomp whomp. I would say the Banana Republic Outlet is my favourite one I've been to in Ontario. I like the Winners here and my boyfriend finds a lot of clothes he likes at Calvin Klein. There are lots of food options here as well. I find it funny that I didn't know Heartland Town Centre existed even though it's across the road from Krispy Kreme. I would just exit off the highway, get doughnuts and leave. Back to Heartland Town Centre. What I like about the outlets here is that clothes are on sale, but when you go to the counter *SUPRISE* they're even more on sale. I love that. have a love/hate relationship with this place... I love the deals, the brands, and the selection. I hate it cause it makes me spend so much more money than I want to!! Whenever I come here, I leave with at least 5 purchases ... maybe the only good thing is that I've saved probably over 40% from a normal shopping mall. Between Marshalls, Winners, BCBG, Banana Republic, GAP, Nine West, Geox, and H&M, I can easily spend 2 hours in those stores. I've found great deals on designer brands at fraction of the prices. The only thing they're really missing is a GREAT restaurant. They do have Keg which is pretty respectable for a chain restaurant. And they have Second Cup for some energy boosting drinks to let you shop more and more. I find this place is much better than the Vaughn Mills outlet. Heartland has real deals, better selection, and also my SIZE!! I'll keep coming back.. provided my credit card can recover from the last time I shopped here. read more

This "Town Centre" runs in strips, stretching across 3 intersections on both sides of Mavis. It's convenient for me and I like this place because it's super close to my house, and I have a car. Not so fun during winters because you're mostly outdoors, but a great place to shop, eat and hang during summers. The convenient big wigs? Walmart Superstore, Canadian Tire, Future Shop, Best Buy, 2 Dollarama stores, Loblaws, LCBO, Home Outfitters and drumroll for my favorite.... COSTCO! The good sales? Tommy Hilfiger, Tiger Direct, Home Sense, Winners, XS Cargo The eats? The Keg, Milestones, Tandoori Flame (no more Tuckers), East Side Marios to name a few Donuts? So this isn't really a "town centre" or a mall, but it's more of just a lot of big box stores within the same area. There are lots of brand name stores like Best Buy, Future Shop, 2001 Audio Video, Sony, Tiger Direct, Banana Republic, Wal-mart, Canadian Tire, BCBG, Rockport, Winners, HomeSense, Marshalls' and the list goes on. Some of these are outlet stores and some are just normal stores. It's definitely a good place for people to go shopping as long as you have a car. So, come to this area if: 1. You are driving/have a car (not pedestrian friendly); 2. Are looking for decent clothing deals; and 3. Don't mind long lineups and slightly congested traffic. But do not come here if: 1. You are taking the bus. You will spend hours getting from one plaza to another 2. Are looking for great food (though I just saw that Tandoori Flame is opening this fall where Tuckers used to be) 3. you are that person who has to "tag along" with your significant other to all the stores. You won't have anything to do except suffer in the store and dream of your reward later for being so patient. :-) Honestly, this is better than Square One for shopping, but if you are looking for really good food, not the place. Walmart here : They have the WORST customer service and managers I have ever come across. I am NEVER shopping here again. Instead of listening to the fact that I was mistreated by walmart employees, she yelled at me telling me that's it's not her job or problem. I was put on hold for 26 minutes in order to be transferred to the vision centre. Within that call, I had been transferred to the wrong area 5 times and each time, I spoke to an extremely rude staff member who was unqualified to pick up the phone, let alone have manners. Finally when I was transferred to vision care, the call hooked me up to customer service, which then yelled at me and hung up. I then called back and went through another manager again, who said she'd link me up with customer care. In reality, I was linked with another customer in line for the vision centre. The lines were mixed up. I'm absolutely disgusted. It horrendous how these people run their business. I'm never coming here again. read more

Heartland is my go to place whenever I have visitors in Toronto looking for some deals. They have basically every store you want here. Costco, LCBO, Bath and Body Works, Under Armour (my favorite store), Le Chateau, H n M, and I could go on and on. I suggest if you plan on coming here to MAP OUT which stores you plan to go to and in which order. Parking can be a pain during weekends and you will spend more time trying to find a spot instead of shopping. However, if you plan out your trip well you will have a great time. There are a TON of restaurants around the area and plenty of variety. Of course make sure you check the Yelp reviews to see which ones are the best! read more

I visit here many times during the year. There are a variety of stores to choose from. There are plazas in which the stores are located in. Not all are on this particular address. You could just drive around without knowing the area and still find the others. Some stores include Harry Rosen, Calvin Klein, Garage, Aldo, Sport Chek, and The Children's Place. There are stores for different age groups, genders, and merchandise. I have visited Calvin Klein whom had wonderful service. Keep an eye on the clothes and The Children's Place as once there was a huge stain on one of them. Not a place to go in the winter as you must park and then enter the stores. It's not one great mall like Vaughan Mills or Bramlea City Centre. That's the only reason I would give it a 4 and not a 5. There's more restaurants to dine in rather than fast food choices.
