I was looking at a boat, learning more info and asking questions. The sales guy was not responding. At one point he said he would get back to me that afternoon. A week later and three more inquiries with zero response, so I sent a message that I had an offer to send to the owner. Then zero response again. Did they sell to another person? I have sent 2 emails requesting information about a boat this company has for sale. I used the company's on-line request form. I have received no email response or phone call from anyone at the company. If the company is using on-line request for information why don't they respond to the request. Most people search on-line before they go look at a boat purchase and if the company is not responding to the formal on-line request, I guess they aren't really looking to sale boats or get people in to look at their inventory, apparently they have to much business to pay attention to their web site requests. If this company wants to get people in to look at a boat to purchase maybe they should pay attention to their web site. I have no desire to drive 3 hours from my house to get to this company and find that they either don't have the boat I was looking at or they did not give all the information they should have about the boat. This company just lost a potential $64,000 sale. read more

Truly amazing experience working with BBB. Confession: I was "a difficult buyer", probably the kind that brokers and sellers wish would simply Go Away. Not once during the buying process did Amy (nor her team) treat me with anything short of respect and a kind of hilarious determination...to find US the right boat. BBB is a family business and once you're onboard you too, are treated as family- if you want filters and your ego massaged, gently go elsewhere. Oh yeah, and access to the boats isn't a mystery- they are mostly right in their yard, immediately available to see inside and out. Can't say that for most brokers. Most importantly as a buyer, Amy reacted appropriately to survey findings (inevitable on used boats) and, armed with that info, doggedly negotiated with sellers. Although she represented the owner as a broker, she REALLY wanted us to end up walking out the door satisfied. THAT is the sign of integrity! read more
