This adventure took us to the Shops at La Cantera, one of his favorite shopping destinations. Unlike a traditional enclosed mall, La Cantera is an open-air shopping center where you're strolling from store to store in the Texas sunshine. Considering we've had what feels like a month of nonstop rain, I was thrilled that Mother Nature finally gave us a bright, sunny day. While the rain has been good for the lawn and plants, I am definitely ready for it to stop. We started near Nordstrom and leisurely made our way toward Zara, popping in and out of stores along the way. One of my favorite parts of shopping is discovering what's new. I was pleasantly surprised to see several stores that had opened since my last visit. Exploring those new spaces made the trip even more enjoyable. You can find a variety of price points at this mall, making it appealing to a broad range of folks. By the end of the day, my brother scored a few stylish pieces from Zara Men, while I somehow managed to leave empty-handed. Surprisingly, I didn't mind one bit. The best purchase of the day wasn't something that fit in a shopping bag...it was quality time spent catching up, sharing plenty of laughs, and enjoying a leisurely afternoon of shop surfing with my favorite shopping buddy...my big brother.

It's this beautiful, high-end, open-air shopping center that honestly feels more like a park than a mall, thanks to all the shaded pathways, greenery, and water features. It's the perfect layout for a relaxed day out together, especially since we can stroll from store to store outside rather than being cooped up indoors. What makes it ideal for these outings is that it has a great mix of everything. His mom has a few specific spots she absolutely loves hitting up every single time, from the big anchor stores like Nordstrom and Dillard's to some of her favorite specialty boutiques. It really takes the stress out of our monthly outings because we already know the layout, the parking is easy, and there are plenty of spots to grab a bite when she needs a break. It's just a consistently great experience every time we go.

Kaffeinated Crepes and Coffee is a great place for fresh food and coffee (see separate review). The Rim is too large of a shopping center. It is difficult to find your way around. The streets and parking are not driver friendly. There is a severe lack of signage!!! While The Rim has a lot to offer it is not convenient or easy to get to the shops.

Between the drastically shifting quotes and the hassle of hauling a massive instrument setup and multiple guitars down there, it was a huge waste of time. I would recommend checking online values or selling privately if you want a fair price for your old games and hardware.

It's centered by a large Indian supermarket, which has some delicious food in a little food court, and a wide selection of Indian groceries. There's also a Cuban supermarket a few doors down. The creperie here isn't so bad. This center has the infamous Sonic drive-thru located at the corner. I don't exactly feel 100% safe in this shopping center, but just be aware of your surroundings, and stick to the sidewalks. This shopping center has a HUGE parking lot. I've never seen the place anywhere near full. It's easy to access, on a busy street corner, it has access from both Babcock and Eckhert. The signage makes it easy!

When we went to return the items the mgr on duty Monica said that she is not allowed to accept a digital receipt. Even though that is proof a payment she said she needed a paper receipt even though one wasn't issued. She also called the store manager and he also said that he said not to give a refund. These things need to be day one training along with customer service. When we said that Corp needed to be called for this problem she said "Go ahead they know who I am already!" Ooooooh heck nah. The truth was workers want to work but there is no budget to pay them with. And it's how a lot of companies are running their business to the growing because of over worked and underpaid workers. Me and my partner thanked her for showing up tI work and doing a great job. The man left annoyed and mad we stood up for her. And also the lady behind us also expresses her gratitude. Sometimes we as people forget that we are all human and just trying to make it. No need to be rude. I said all this to say. Practice patience and gratitude. About 10 years ago Alamo Ranch was just a big empty field and now it's one of the hottest shopping centers. It has expanded like crazy which is great but also ehh when it comes to traffic. I am very busy as I work I healthcare, so I purchased the item online, which was a store pick up. After work I came to the store, they notified me they saw my purchase but that they "could not let me take the merchandise" because their system said it was cancelled, even though I showed my phone and spam stating it had not and my bank account showing it came out. However, after over 20 minutes of the assistant manager on the phone trying to figure it out, I asked if I could take the mirror as I had to get back to work. The manager said "no I have to protect the merchandise" in a loud belittling tone. I was furious at this point and left. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to go here to save on shipping. Then 1 hr later the manager called and said there "had been a glitch" and it was indeed their fault and that I could come and pick it up! They were not even willing to ship it for free or give me a discount after all of this!!!! POOR Customer service and I hope he is fired!!!!!!!!
