Our first time here. We were in town for an eye doctor appointment, I was hungry for a steak. I ordered a New York Strip and the wife had a Chicken Fried Steak. My steak was tender and tasty. Hers was over-cooked, but the white gravy was quite good. My green beans were loaded with onions, which were overbearing. 1. First Impression walking in was unhelpful and not friendly. Only a gesture to find a seat. 2. Ambiance has good bones that are a bit bare. Air up that wagon's wheel at least.. 3. Service was ok. 4. Food is mediocre at best. There are few steak places in town and this one has reasonable prices, but the variance of quality and getting it cooked to your liking and as you order is all over the chart. No. Just No For Me! Other's in the group liked it. My steak was dried out and had a weird taste. That's when I stopped eating it. The sweat potato was over cooked. Iceberg lettuce is not for salads. A co worker told me about this place. We were in El Dorado today so we thought "Let's try it out" The food was great! There was so many things on the menu to choose from and the prices were reasonable. The service was good and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the blackened chicken and it was good! My husband and my friend ordered the hamburger steak and they both said it was good. Actually my husband said it was the best he had had and hamburger steak is one of his favorite things so he has eaten this from many different restaurants. You couldn't ask for a better place to eat. If I could give this place 0 stars i would. I actually loved this place up until last night. I normally order takeout for their wrangler fries but I've only ever dined in maybe once or twice. Well last night me and family went there to join my father in-law and his wife for his birthday dinner. They were already there waiting on the rest of us. When we walked in, the Hispanic man at the register said "how can I help you" I said we are joining someone. He said "okay go ahead" . That was the first red flag because like I said I never dine in, so I had no idea where to to. Usually they walk us to where we need to sit at other restaurants. So me and my family walked into the dinning area and found my father in law and his wife. They were already eating a appetizer. We proceeded to sit down with them but realized we didn't have enough room/ not enough seats. There were only 8 seats at the table. The Hispanic man walked into the room and we informed him that we needed just a little more room. He said with a lot of attitude "well I can only seat 10 at a table" . We told him that was fine because it was 11 of us but one of us was a 2 year old that could sit in a high chair. We just needed 10 regular seats to accommodate us. So the Hispanic man started to move things and told my husband "sat this chair over there". now dont forget this whole time he has an extreme attitude. So my husband told him that he could ask nicer but my husband still proceeded to help him move the chair. Then the Hispanic man said "well if y'all would just get out of the waaayy" and that's when I butted in and told him that we had been nothing but nice when we walked through the door and he was treating us poorly and that we could take our funds somewhere else. we literally had done nothing to the man, all we did was walk into the restaurant. so after I told him that he said "well just go somewhere else then". At that point I had nothing else to say because it was my father in laws birthday dinner and I was trying to stay cordial. The last straw is when the Hispanic man was moving a chair and bumped very hard into my husbands back. And then he laughed about it. That's when we packed up all of our stuff and left . My inlaws paid for their appetizer and we were gone and went and enjoyed a nice meal with the BEST SERVICE at lavilla. Banderas won't even get a takeout order from us again.. read more

Horrible horrible service!!!! Would have gave a ZERO star but it wasn't an option and they deserve a ZERO rating! Food was served cold. Bland. No flavor or seasoning. Waitress had no teeth so she would barely speak. Seated first with no one in restaurant and had over an hour wait for our food. We had quesadilla and a pork chop. Salsa is horrible; tastes just like tomato sauce out of a can. Three other people came in to be served after us, and we were served last. Worst experience dining in ElDorado!! We have been eating at Bandaras since they opened. They were consitant for the majority of the time. The steaks have been exceptional 99% of the time. But lately they are slipping. Last 3 steaks I had there were either over seasoned with a new powder seasoning, overly aged to the point of spoiled. Salad &/or dressing made me ill. Blue cheese dressing watered down & tasted a little spoiled. The original owner is never seen in this new location anymore. Im afraid the great (pretty much only decent ) place to eat in Eldorado is going to dwindle down until out of business. Seems like the times we got bad food was around opening time. Maybe left overs were a little too aged??? Been I'll last two times so I won't be going back for a good while if then. read more

This is a go to for us, cheap prices and we usually are right in and out. Their steaks are surprisingly good, juicy and well seasoned, and their chicken/shrimp Alfredo is always good. Sad to see such a low scoring on such a comfortable place. read more

Good food. Good value. I regularly get the steak they have on the lunch specials menu. Usually a decent steak and the price can't be beat. They also have a gargantuan hamburger that is a great value. Don't get the 'regular ' fries, ask for the steak fries. This place is a couple of doors down from McDonalds on N. West avenue. It is a small restaurant and doesn't seat very many people. It is in an old Long John Silvers building. UPDATE: Banderas is still in business, but, they are at a new location. I'm a regular at this place, and I am for a reason. The servers are all sweet and concerned about the customers. The food is quick to come out, considering how busy this restaurant usually is, and it is the BEST food for their price range in El Dorado. My niece took me to this restaurant. The waitress forgot my order. My nephew ordered the country fried steak because she said that it would take 30 mins for a T-bone. If it wasn't for the loaded french fries I had for my appetizer, I would have starved. When the waitress brought the country fried steak out, I felt so sorry for my nephew. Since moving to their new location, I can't think of what there is not to like. I love their chicken sandwich and their chicken monterey plate. It's usually packed in there, but the service is not at all what I would term 'slow.'
