As someone who has worked in the bartending industry myself and who travels often visiting different restaurants and bars, hospitality matters. A bartender sets the tone for the entire experience, especially for solo guests. Sitting alone at a bar can already feel awkward enough, and a warm, welcoming attitude goes a long way. I still tipped her generously despite the experience, because that's just who I am, but management should really pay attention to how guests are being treated behind the bar. It's disappointing because I truly loved the place itself and wanted to give it a full 5 stars. With better customer interaction from the bartender, this place would easily deserve it.
