Dean's Hobby Stop is a mecca of vintage kits, many in amazingly good condition considering they are 30-50 years old mostly, and at much better prices that you might pay on eBay. Not to mention you save the expense and risk of shipping if you come to the store in person. I live in Chicago and have family in the Detroit area, but I'll go quite a bit out of my way to come here whenever I can. Dean is a real gentleman and his wife and partner is a real gem too!

I'm in the Sacramento area of California and there is nothing like Dean's place out here. He'll always hold items for you until you're ready to call back and pay for them. Front and center there is hand sanitizer and stickers on the floor to recommend how far away to stand in line to check out. It was a little difficult to decipher where to pick up an order but the cashiers were happy to get it for me. They offered to take the frames out to the car for me as well but I didn't need help. Good customer service and I'm glad to see they are doing their best to enforce safe standards.

It gets 4 stars from me instead of 5 because the pricing is high - I don't mind supporting small businesses and paying a little more, but my boyfriend looked up one game online and it was like $29.99 at Target or Amazon or somewhere, and they were asking $50 for it, which is quite a lot.
