This is a long overdue review. I used their services back in spring of 2023. This was after I had…read morecalled several other companies which didn't call me back and one sent someone but they just looked at it and never contacted us again, and another never showed up. I read lots of amazing reviews on Mundae and requested a service. They were so responsive and talked me through the process. It wasn't long before someone came out to take several tests that consist of an air sample outside and inside and an actual sample of the mold, and a walk around to see if they spot more mold anywhere else. The report came back quick and scheduling of the mold remediation was quick. 3 workers were sent and it took half a day total since it was just our upstairs that needed it. Everyone we encountered was friendly, kind, and informative. Responsive whether it was text, phone call, or email. Appreciate the speediness in which the issue was resolved and felt very pleased with the service. Also I can report back that since then no more mold has appeared. I highly recommend them and have their info saved in case I need them in the future but honestly I hope I really don't.

That allowed humidity into the walls and caused mold and paint blistering around my front entry door. I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. So, I could not rate this company any higher and I recommend them more than any other I've dealt with in many decades. They yanked my bacon outa' the frying pan on this one.

They arrived one hour late to the first remediation appointment, two hours late for the second, and three hours late for the fourth. They did NOT remove all the damaged items they were supposed to on day one (and said they were finished), dumped all the cabinets and drywall on my mom's lawn instead of in a dumpster as itemized on the estimate, and dumped their beer cans on top. Totally disrespectful. My question is why did they have beer cans in the first place when they were supposed to be working? One month later, the home is still not remediated properly. The clearance tester said he could not believe they left her house so dirty and trashed. He even noted it in his report that they needed to clean up. Basic. After sending them the clearance report and not getting a response, I had to send another email with RESPONSE REQUIRED in the subject heading just to get them to set a time to come back out to complete the work itemized in the failed clearance report. It took one month of prodding to get them to finally remove the bar in the kitchen that was supposed to be removed on day one. There is still moldy insulation in the walls. When they came out the fourth time (after clearance test failed), we overheard the workers saying they brought a particular area to the attention of the service manager on day one but the service manager told them to not touch it. We call the office to get assistance and can only talk to the "answering service." It should not take one month for work that should have been done right and thoroughly the first time. Now, they have the gall to tell my mother that they have moved on to other jobs while hers is still incomplete. This is how they treat the elderly.

I guess it's called "Virtual Consultation" during Covid-19 pandemic. Within 2 hours, I got a quote and secured an appointment. I immediately contacted my insurance agent to start a claim. On my first day meeting Austin for damage assessment, he brought Wilmer to start water mitigation. Austin is the supervisor, as you already know from other reviews. He quickly setup dehumidifier, fan and heavy-duty HEPA air purifier. In the same week, they came back with another helper Juan to perform tear out and sprayed fungicide to kill molds and checking for additional damage. I want to share my experience based on my initial connection before this review gets too long. Next thing is to rebuild my room. Having to wait on my insurance claim approval.
