I needed a defense attorney for a trucking accident. I spent about 3 hours searching all the…read morewebsites I could find for a good attorney in Evanston, WY. I printed out all the on-line references I could find for attorneys in Evanston, WY. Then I carefully went through each and every one. Some of the attorneys had changes offices two or three times. Some had changes telephone numbers two or three times. I also wanted an attorney who had an office CLOSE to the County of Uinta District Court building. Attorney Skog's has had the same office address for years and years. He has also had the same phone number for years and years. I then started looking for how long each attorney had their law license. Several attorneys had their license 20 years or more. On the Wyoming State Bar Directory Profile website I found that Mr. Skog was admitted to the bar in Wyoming in 1983. (So 38 years). (When I talked to Mr. Skog he stated that he had actually been licensed in a prior state starting in 1979 when he got his law degree!!). So that is 42 years of legal experience. As I got to know him better he said that he often represented people who's first language is not English. Attorney Skog WAS the Prosecutor for Uinta County, WY for a number of years. So he knows many of the people in the Courthouse. I needed him for a Defense Attorney and he has proved to be very very capable in that regard. I have found him to be careful and methodical. He knows the process, the needed paperwork, the deadlines that that things must be submitted, and is clear, (from the very beginning) about possible outcomes, both positive and negative. I would highly recommend Attorney Skog. His name and address: Paul R. Skog Attorney at Law 920 Main Street, Suite A Evanston, WY 82930 307-789-1123

This firm is having difficulty keeping paralegals. I was rear ended last March and I've only spoken…read morewith the lawyer, Brad DeBry, once in June. This was after attorney Riley Waddups and his paralegal were either fired or left. Then I was assigned by text to Jen, another paralegal. Three months later I was assigned this last paralegal by text again. I didn't feel that I had anyone who really knew what was going on with my case. My gut said RUN AWAY! I did my research and found Chris Cockayne-a 5 star attorney. He's someone who gets the job done, according to his reviews. I saw Chris yesterday and he is so refreshing to speak with. He explained how my case works, what the plans were and what to expect. He is prompt, smart, compassionate and honest. So is his staff. So I hired Chris and fired DeBry. I'll definitely make another review after this is over.

Destroyed Mother's case 1.0 star…read morePosted by Miya January 20, 2024 Riley T. Waddoups missed a very BIG, yet simple deadline in letting the city know that he intended to file against the sicty by the deadline. He blew right through the deadline, did nothing, and left my elderly Mother who was severely injured with no further options to recoup compensation from the city. He was unapologetic, arrogant, and we're still trying to collect from insurance who has also lawyered up. How diappointing. We all make mistakes. All Riley had to do was to apologize, and negotiate a fair settlement for my Mother. He instead ignored her and dumped her case. Leaving her with nothing and nobody to continue. This guy doesn't care about his clients, in my experience. He is in it for Riley, and when he screws up, he will turn on YOU, and YOU and only YOU and your loved ones will pay the price. He and Debry should be out of business with that level of dishonesty and horrific service. Run, don't walk, run from this place and try to find someone slighly more honorable. Tough given the industry, but keep looking. You and your pain mean nothing to this firm.

Every interaction with them has been completely professional. What really got our eye was they are down to earth. We got to express how we really feel and so did they. Both of us having an unfiltered mouth, we knew these are the guys we want representing me. What they charge is reasonable no hidden fees. Thank you both for your work with my cases. Although we enjoyed working with you two let's hope we don't ever have to again!!

Fast forward a few months, as I was getting ready to go to work, I get a text message from the court about an hour before the court hearing with a video conferencing link stating that I needed to be present at 10 AM. I had no prior notice or communication from the lawyer. I called the law firm, and the receptionist told me, "the person who can answer your questions about the case won't be in for another hour, so you better attend." I had to ChatGPT some response/plan as I had no idea what to say or do. About 10 minutes right before my court case, that lawyer finally called me and was asking me about the details of my case as if he had just learned about it. He told me that there was a "glitch" and that I should have been informed about the court case with more reminders 2 weeks ahead of the date. He called the prosecutor to cut a "deal" about 5 minutes before the case, which was the worst deal I've ever had with a traffic lawyer that left me paying near the original fine fee and 6 months probation.
