I wanted to wait to post my review once I got my professional photos back but I can't wait any longer. Let me start by saying I've had my makeup done a handful of times for others' weddings or special events and I've never liked it.. usually I'd scurry away after to add my own drugstore makeup that I was comfortable with. And glue-on lashes - ugh - don't get me started. But from the moment I went to my trial run with Jamie, I felt comfortable letting her know all of this. I showed her pictures from Pinterest of what I was envisioning, and I told her I didn't want to look overly-glam, doll-like, etc. After the trial, there were small things I wanted to change but was scared to upset her... I made myself say it and she immediately responded with "thank you for telling me!! Now I can fix it for the day of!" She didn't see it as me being high maintenance or complaining, she saw it as helpful. SUCH a relief for someone who is terrified to upset another person like I am lol Our wedding day comes... right when social-distancing came into effect. All our vendors were cancelling or inflexible, but Jamie kept a constant line of communication with me to make sure I got what I needed for my newly relocated, newly scaled down "big" day. She and her team came and did an amazing job on my bridesmaids, mother, and mother in law, listening to each of them and getting their individual style down perfectly so they all felt gorgeous. HIGHLY recommend the airbrush, we cried all day and the makeup didn't budge!! Also, the lashes she used on me didn't bother me at all which is unheard of in my book.. very lightweight and not fakey-looking or too dramatic. I was absolutely thrilled and didn't have to worry about my makeup the rest of the day.. Thank you, Jaimie, and the rest of your team for being the one thing we didn't have to worry about on our Coronavirus wedding day. I was in Knoxville for a wedding, and Julie and Wendy truly made me feel beautiful the entire weekend. I got talked into a spray tan, and it's 100% the best one I've ever had. No streaks. No spots. Beautifully bronze. Hard to mess up. And Julie has every trick in the book for a seamless, natural looking tan (while making you feel so comfortable throughout the process). I am so thankful I hired Jamie with Bangs and Blush for my wedding day! I am a self-admitted control freak - but when I met with Jamie to talk about my look for my wedding day - I knew I could hand over everything to her. Our first practice tutorial was great - she took the time (after hours) to meet with me and practice with my makeup, as well as her own. After much practice, we finalized everything. I, however, realized I had yet to get my eyebrows waxed! Jamie and her partner stepped in - and waxed my brows right there and then! Then came my wedding day - I was hot and stressed and excited - but Jamie was cool and collected. She listened to my requests and made me feel beautiful. I was beautiful - and I felt confident. The way every bride should feel on her wedding day! Bonus - Jamie brought along a super sweet goodie bag for me - emergency items, hairspray, etc. Double bonus: Jamie tagged along as we were running around the property taking pictures carrying a hairbrush and makeup for touch-ups. We had booked two townhouses so my fiancé and our bridal parties could get ready separately, and they went back and forth so we could each enjoy our getting ready time. Wow! I was so impressed w/ Jamie, Christian, Wendy, Emma and the rest of their awesome team as they transformed our wedding party to GORGEOUS! They were absolutely amazing. Our makeup was so very beautiful and our hair...incredible! We felt like princesses! There were 10 of us and every girl's hair was very different. They were braided updos, sleek updos, glamorous side ponytails. They have worked with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. They are very professional and made us all feel special. Jamie and her team quite literally saved my life for my wedding day. I had two makeup trials before I realized this is the ONLY day in my whole life that I get to be the most beautiful girl in the room. I always knew I wanted Jamie but thought I could find options not as expensive as Jamie was and get away with it. Well you get what you pay for. Leaving my second wedding day makeup trial I called Jamie a month before my wedding in hopes she was available. I got so luck that she was, went to Knoxville and had my third makeup trial and I was so so happy. Not only does she do beautiful work but she has amazing customer service. Not impressed at all! Jamie who does the makeup doesn't even show a little bit of courtesy to her clients. She treats her clients as if she is doing them a favor by doing makeup on them!! And to be honest I didn't find her makeup to be anything great..it's very very ordinary for the unreasonably exorbitant pricing! Buyer beware!! My daughter scheduled Bangs and Blush in February for her June wedding. As her mother, I was taking care of the majority of wedding costs including hair and make-up for the female members of the wedding party. I gave her my credit card number to reserve the date and make a down payment. Unfortunately, she paid 40% down instead of just the required $40. Sadly, her wedding was called off approximately six weeks before the event. She never received any services - including her trial hair and make-up, and has tried almost daily for over a week to contact Bangs and Blush for reimbursement. They have repeatedly put her off and do not return her phone calls or respond to her emails. Very unprofessional and poor business etiquette! I assume the girls who run this operation know very little about maintaining good customer relations and don't think of the repercussions poor business practices can cost them in the long run. read more
