The lines moved quickly. The teller was super friendly. She looked at my ID and made change. I was in and out very quickly.

The staff knows to address me as Benji because I have indicated that when I opened my account (even though one of the staff members got my name wrong, but I have forgiven them). I would highly recommend Wood forest National Bank to anyone who wants to start banking again because they have services that range from the Second Chance checking accounts to the ReLi secured credit line, the latter of which is said to help you rebuild your credit.

I don't use checks and have never had a problem with return check fees until now... bear with me... My cable company submitted their auto payment and I had already moved my funds to my new bank. No money = they charge me a fee. I get it. That's on me. But WF tried running the payment through 2 MORE TIMES!! And charged me 2 MORE FEES. By this time I had already paid my cable bill via my new bank. I have it in writing that my cable company did NOT attempt to collect after that first time! WF did the to collect more fees! So at this point I'm over drawn by about $30. I go to my new bank and instruct them to go ahead and pay them so I can close that WF account. Their procedure is to test deposit 2 small amounts to make sure future transfers are correct. They sent a total of 82 cents. All good. I initiated a transfer to WF bank for the amount required to close the account. Last night my new bank tries to take their 82 cents back and BAM! WF charged me again!!! Doing business with WF bank has turned out to be EXTREMELY COSTLY! So again, BEWARE!

When looking for a bank to use specifically for my art sales, I found they were the only bank in the area that offered a free "small business checking" account. All the other banks had a lot of fees associated with their small business accounts so that is why I went with this bank. When I visit, they always are happy to see me greeting me as I walk in and are pleasant to deal with. Their locations always have convenient drive up ATMs. My only complaint about the account is that they do not offer interest on checking accounts. But if you are looking for a business banking account, check them out for sure!
