We have been members of PFCU for about 10 years, and have had fairly great service; I'd normally…read morerate them with the highest rating... so I'm not feeling very good about leaving this feedback; but what's happened is ridiculous, so I'm hoping that by sharing my story someone at PFCU will reach out to me to help on this urgent matter. I ordered a "one of a kind" item last week online from Australia. Immediately after placing the order, I called PFCU (last Thursday) to alert them of the order so that they'd be sure to approve it. They took all the notes, and then... the next day (Friday) when it came through, they denied it. So I spent a couple hours of my time today on the phone with PFCU and the vendor in Australia, and he agreed to re-run it... and PFCU assured me that they would not deny it. The PFCU rep even said, "we have notes in the file so it won't be denied", to which I replied, "y'all had notes in the file last week, yet it was denied" - and then, as already stated, it was again denied. I'm still trying to get the item, but am feeling like PFCU is seemingly working against me!
Three side-notes: On it being a "one of a kind", allow me to explain. I'm a rare book collector, and there's one particular book, published in 1890 (only a few were printed) that I've searched for for 2-3 years, and in the last 3 months I've increased my efforts significantly to the tune of 3x per week, via dozens of specialty and collector websites. And then, miraculously, one became available in a hole-in-the-wall bookshop in Australia. It's no exaggeration to say that this is the only copy of this book for sale in the entire globe!
2nd side note: the reason I knew to call PFCU and over-share with them as I did was because this has happened to me before (about 2 years ago... but, while that purchase was important, it wasn't a "one of a kind" like this one. But the point is, how bad are their processes that this should happen multiple times?!
3rd side note: Australia is 16 hours ahead of us here in Idaho, and this particular vendor only works part time, so catching him during his few work hours is an additional obstacle I've been having to deal with.
