8/7/2026 @ 15:22 Front desk refuses to bill insurance for a physical and I'm being told to pay out of pocket. I spoke to Christine DeShawn with Banner Urgent Care Billing at 866-806-9776 who also stated there is no policy stating they do not accept insurance for this. Front desk argued with billing. I was advised by billing to pay the fee and call her back to bill through insurance and get refunded. Leave it to Banner, especially this location, to fork you over for their quick buck. First off the person who took my info was Professional and helpful HOWEVER The EXTREMELY RUDE and much less than helpful so-called care provider was anything but professional. I was belittled and shamed for driving myself to get care because I am became dizzy and light headed upon entering the building. I was asked why I chose to drive myself. I am a licensed driver who does not drink, use substances or have any reason not to be driving. I would never have left my house driving if I thought I was unsafe tp drive. I only became dizzy once I entered the Urgent Care Building. She refused to ket me leave in my own vehicle and called 911. She said that I should have just went to Emergency and that there were plenty of Emergency Rooms. I came in with severe abdominal pain on my right side and I had no idea what was wrong. I had a duel diagnosis both of which are pretty serious and painful. Anyways I would not even recommend this place to someone who I loathed as I have a kind heart and a good conscience. May this provider reap what she sows when seeking medical care herself. Hopefully it would teach them how to treat others with Compassion, Kindness and Human Decency. Okay how do I even start? The front desk was extremely patient and helpful. They really want to give people the care they need here. Tabitha helped out me and my son and my man we all had fevers of 102-105, my son loved her and the doctor. They were extremely patient and caring. Tabitha even gave us some hot potato soup while we waiting for our test results (I'm 21 weeks pregnant so I scarfed it down (and if you try and get her in trouble for this I will find you! Cause that was sooo good and very much needed)) and shared the recipe with me :) Sure it is a long wait but that happens no matter where you go, and probably much longer if you go to the ER. The care here is terrible the front desk lady was on her phone the whole time and had an attitude when she realized I was a walk in then some of the nursing staff was giving me attitude and talking about me when the doors closed because I knew what my symptoms where how to get treated and what I needed then proceeded to ignore me while I was in the treating room, just an absolutely terrible staff outside of the doctor himself read more

Extremely bad service. I had an appointment with Banner Urgent Care at 7952 N 43rd Ave., Glendale, AZ 85308 at 4:30pm on 3/6/25 for my eye infection and ashma. I came to my appointment 15' as per requested. I waited until 5:45pm but still not able to see any physician. That's 1.5 hours late. I came to ask the nurse, she replied with a cold tone "everyone busy, if you are in a hurry to go elsewhere, we wont stop you". She acted as if waiting for 1.5 hours is totally normal; regardless I had an appointment. When the physician showed up, she rushed in and out and finished it in a couple minutes, literally. She did not show care at all. When I notified her that the asthma inhaler she prescribed, Albuteral, would not work for me. Ventolin works many times better in my case. She agreed to switch for me, but once I got my inhaler from the pharmacy, I found out by surprise that she did not switch as she promised. Great visit. Staff was very quick and professional. Quick checkin w minimal paperwork. Its a Saturday night so I was expecting to have a long wait but was in and out very quickly and the front desk noted my pharmacy was closed for the night and printed the prescription for me. She also informed of a nearby walgreens on 43 and glendale thats closed late. Was able to get my prescription filled and avoid an ER visit. Thank you! My perspective of crowded and slow urgent cares has completely changed. read more

Do not go here! Waste of time!!! My son who is on the spectrum had a low grade fever (99.5-100.1) for over 24 hours. He has SPD and does not like anything foreign in his mouth. I tried every possible way to give him Tylenol and could not. I took him to UC so that someone could help me by holding him so I could give him the medicine. The lazy NP who's break I must have interrupted simply came in the room and asked what pharmacy I wanted a suppository sent to. WTF? I told the MA I can't hold him for Tylenol and she expects me to hold him to put something up his butt? She offered NO HELP, NO ASSISTANCE, and simply told me to take him to the ER so they could help me. The ER!! Talk about lazy and incompetent. Waste of "resource" they clearly only want to prescribe and defer to the ER so they can go back to their Netflix. On top of getting NO HELP from her she called the police for a welfare check because I had mentioned I was scared of holding my son "and breaking his arm or something." A CLEAR HYPOTHETICAL of why I did NOT want to hold him down myself and was ASKING FOR HELP- so I WOULDN'T accidentally hurt him. The police came and checked him- they could see my child has happy and cared for, not hurt. They UNLIKE the useless NP saw and knew I would never hurt my child. This place should be shut down since they clearly do not provide any care and this Karen NP needs a new career. **update 72 hours after post made- I emailed Banner Health as they requested and no one has actually reached out to me. Their reply was simply an attempt to appear as if they cared about the issues at this location- by a specific employee. They do NOT care. Avoid this urgent care by all means necessary!!!! read more

Was a Saturday afternoon and thought I needed an antibiotic for an infection I thought I had. Made an appointment online. Check in was extremely easy since my PCP is within the Banner network I only had to show my driver's license and insurance card. No paperwork to fill out. Only waited about 5 minutes and was called back. Vitals taken. Physicians assistant came in and verified I was correct in my self diagnosis. They called my prescription in to my pharmacy and it was ready when I got there. This was literally the easiest urgent care visit I've ever had. I usually go to a competitor on Peoria. Not anymore. The only downside was they said they'd call in a few days to make sure the meds they prescribed were working but I never received a call. No big deal because what they gave worked! When your doctors office is closed and you don't want the expense of the ER this is the place, and don't be afraid of the sketchy area! read more

We arrived 20 minutes before they closed and had 7 people ahead of us. They called us back pretty quickly and the staff was very thorough and friendly. The NP thAt we saw discussed my daughters symptoms with an associate and diagnosed her in a timely manner. She answered all our questions and told us how to care for her sickness. Terrible staff. MA took my sons oral temp after I told him he was burning up and was going to document 98.6. When I told him that was wrong he told me the machines are never wrong, took a tympanic and it was actually 103. Then the doctor came in with the same attitude and informed me he is an ER doc of 20 years and I shouldn't question him, then asked me if I'm sure I had no questions because I had a questionable tone. This is just a small example of what happened. I am an RN, I knew all the BS they were pulling...I should have gone to an ER. Do not go here. read more

I don't normally do this in such a public forum but the Banner website only allows 512 characters and I finally gave up and came here. So, I went to this location on July 30, 2018 about a condition I have with my right hand. Normally the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, but not today. The person who came into the room first was a male who took my vitals and then asked about medications that I was currently taking. When I replied that I wasn't, he asked me about Robaxin and I told him no, that it has been quite a while since I had any. He then told me that he could see all of my records and that I had picked up a prescription on July 17th from my PCP. I normally have my prescriptions sent to me in the mail, to which he stated that they would never send Robaxin in the mail. If he knew how to read the records that he's looking at he would have seen that my request to refill my prescription for the Robaxin was approved for refill on July 17th. Not only that, I just received my Robaxin yesterday, August 4th, in the mail. I feel that this person needs more training, not only in how to read our records, but in how to treat not only patients, but all people. He made me feel like I was doing something wrong or illegal in regards to my medications and made me feel like I was forgetting about a trip to get my refill. You see, I take care of my mother, who was with me on this visit. She was telling me that I need to tell them about all of my medications because they are trying to help me. I lodged a complaint on this site before about my account with them. I am over 65 & I gave them my Medicare information & my secondary. They billed my secondary and not Medicare so it got declined. On my first complaint they put an apology and did reach out to me with an email. I responded and still nothing. I am now dealing with Banner, Sonora Quest, and the provider I used for lack of payment. For all the time I have put into this they should have to pay me. read more

Took my one year old son in to be seen because he woke up with fluid coming out of his ear. Looked like an ear infection. The doctor told me he is probably "teething" and said his ear looked just fine. Gave me an antibiotic in case his fever went back up which it didn't. The next day my sons ear looked way worse, I knew something was wrong. Took him to his pediatrician where they immediately said he has a terrible bacterial ear infection. Honestly I'm really pissed about it. My son went a whole 24 hours in pain without any medicine because your NP said he was just teething. Don't advertise that you take children when your doctors can't perform simple pediatric care. read more

When I arrived they got me in pretty quickly since no one else was waiting. However, after I saw the NP, Jacqueline D Cook, that's where the 2 star review comes in. She did not have a warm and friendly dimeanor and after I had a strep test done that turned out not to be strep, she offered me a steroid shot (which I'm allergic to) and when I seemed frustrated that she could not offer me any other solutions or at-home remedies she got an attitude and said 'I'm not sure what else you want me to do for you.' Like, she could have rephrased that, showed more compassion and even suggested some at home remedies for my condition. After that poor experience, I saw another teledoc provider who said I present with the symptoms of omnicron covid. Why didn't this urgent care NP catch that? and why wasn't I tested for covid? $75 wasted and a diagnosis from another provider later, I would NOT recommend this urgent care. read more

Brough in my 12 year old son who was experiencing severe abdominal pain and had recently vomited 5 times. We checked in and the in take receptionist told us "we don't have imaging, I just need to let you know that". Ok. We wait. My son throws up and additional 5-7 times while we wait the 20 minutes. Brought in and they take vitals and other information. This nurse tells us, "oh, we probably can't do much for him because we don't have imaging, they will probably just send him to the hospital." My son and I sit in the examination room and he is just laying there whimpering from pain and begins to tell me, "dad, I can't do this. It hurts so much." I go out and ask for an ETA or if they will be sending us to a hospital. Blank looks from the people sitting there who seemed more annoyed I had interrupted their conversation than any concern for a sick child. Seemed like they knew all along they couldn't help, just wanted to be able to bill us for their terrible "treatment". I took my son and left, bringing him to the emergency room. Avoid this place. These people are in the wrong field. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. My mother went into this facility today because she's experiencing double vision. The website for this facility is says that they help with vision problems. They didn't spend much time trying to figure out what was wrong with her before telling her they couldn't help her. Then an insanely rude woman came in with a horrible attitude and told my mom that she had to sign a piece of paper because they were going to call an ambulance. My mom didn't want to go in an ambulance so she told her that. The woman then got extremely irritated with my mom and became very short with her and told her to sign a different form to state that she was refusing the ambulance. My mom signed it and asked for a copy. The woman then went off on my mom and, once again with an attitude, said "this paper is for the ambulance and this one is to state you refused the ambulance and you don't need a copy of either". When you're in the medical field you should mind your bedside manner. If you want to be a b* go work in a bar. My mom came home really upset and there's no reason for it. She's a sweet lady and she doesn't deserve to be treated like crap by your useless staff. read more

I would not recommend coming here, it was a waste of time really I'm personally never coming here again. I woke up from a fever in the middle of the night with terrible pain in my throat and a really stuffy nose, also my body felt so sore. I came in waited about a hour to be attended. When they checked my blood pressure (with the thing they wrap around your arm) it wouldn't stop tightening and the lady had said because I was moving when I'm reality I wasn't . By the time she took it off my right hand was PURPLE compared to the left. I had took the COVID test with them and asked if I could possibly get a note for work since I am a waitress AT A RESTAURANT. The lady checked that I COULD return to work as if I was lying about how I felt. Also didn't prescribe anything told me it might be a virus and that was it. read more

They took wrist x-rays, told her everything was fine and sent her home. Took her to her PCP the next day found out her arm is broken and will likely need surgery. I went to this location, the doctor? Looked at my ears, throat, took my temp and listened to my chest. Then told me I had a common cold, and there was nothing she could give me. The next day I was throwing up severely, became dehydrated, and had to go to the hospital. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and the flu. This location did nothing for me at all. read more

I have been here more than one time and always been treated with respect! Go to the ER any where in this valley and you will be there for days! Here there is a short wait and Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner always thorough better than most doctors. But there doctors here take time to help you. I am in the health care field also! They saved my life 3 weeks ago! Thanks to them I can see my grand kids grow up! And I am now on the path to recovery! Can't say how much your carrying staff has done and changed my life! The staff here is terrible. The assistants lack any bedside manner and seem inconvenienced when asked basic questions about health such weight, bp, temperature. the assistant practically whispered when speaking to us and when I asked her to please repeat herself, she was visibly annoyed. Before this was a Banner facility, the place was much better. The wait time is insane and all of these factors combined endures we will never visit this place again. This urgent care is closest to my house so I use them all the time for my family. Usually they are very quick and polite from front desk to the doctor. This time I was very disappointed. The practitioner, which is not one I've seen here before, made me feel like I was stupid for coming in and wasting her time. I'm sorry isn't this why you get paid?
