Went in for a severe rash on chest and was prescribed a cream. Rash wasnt better after a week and was requested to go in again, instead of just changing my meds. Then provider only prescribed enough powder for a few days when originally he stated in office to use for 3 weeks. I came into urgent care with a fever, abdominal pain, and a horrible cough. I took a COVID test at home and it was negative. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The NP examined me and decided I didn't have a respiratory illness. She gave me bizarre looks every time I coughed, almost as if she thought I was faking it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Regarding my abdominal pain, she had absolutely no idea what was causing it and did nothing to investigate. All she did was order another COVID test and prescribe cough medicine and send me home. In the following two days, my symptoms got increasingly worse. I had a 103 fever and was delirious and in pain. I went to the ER, and it turns out I had influenza A and an extremely severe UTI. Both were giving me the fever and were absolutely destroying my body. Had the NP just done a flu swab and urinalysis, I could've been on the mend two days earlier and avoided the extreme pain I experienced in the coming days. I have been to this urgent care twice in 2 weeks, first for injuries to my wrist suffered after a fall and second for sinus/ear infection symptoms. I saw Dr. Miyashiro both times, and he was fantastic. I have no doubt that I received exceptional care from him. All of the medical assistants and x-ray techs were great, too. The facility is also very clean. The only I give a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star is that during both of my visits, I made appointments and showed up 15 minutes before my scheduled appointments to fill out any paperwork. Both times, I didn't end up going back into an examining room until at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment times. If the office can get me in closer to my actual appointment times in the future, I'll be happy to update my review to 5 stars. read more

I went to urgent care because I had an ear infection and strep throat from a cold. I wanted to see what can be done to stop the pain. I waited in the lobby for about two hours before going to the back where I waited for another hour and a half. None of the nurses or doctors came in to check on me to ask me why was I here today? I opened the door and politely asked if I am supposed to be waiting on somebody to come and check on me. I was told yes but their system is down. I was worried about going here because of the bad reviews, but I had a good experience. At the time I went (Thursday around 12:30pm) there was only one person ahead of me so I didn't wait long. The lobby is huge and they have it separated into two sections on opposite sides, "sick" and "well". I loved this as a COVID precaution, and was relieved that everyone was still wearing masks. I went to get a EKG/ECG and saw Dr. Eric Honaker. He had a great bedside manner, was funny, and explained everything really well. I didn't feel rushed at all. This urgent care center is very clean and was empty when I arrived, which felt very safe in the current conditions. However, that's the only good thing I can say. I came in for a knee injury. The doctor insisted it wasn't swollen when it very clearly was. I heard him outside the door tell the medical assistant that it was fine, to give me an ace bandage and some Motrin. He said an xray wasn't necessary, but he had to do it for insurance purposes. He then proceeded to tell me his Covid-19 conspiracy theories, said testing was the cause of the spread (great to hear from a testing facility), and insisted I'd be fine if I got it despite my autoimmune disease because it's being blown out of proportion. Went on to discuss how Americans are weak in comparison to the Americans who fought Nazis. None of this was relevant to my knee injury. I went home with my ace bandage, and about an hour later he called and said my xray was fine. I waited a few more hours then went to the ER because of the pain and swelling. My husband had been sick for going on four days with a fever, so I made an appointment for him online for this location. The appointment process was easy and there seemed to be open availability most of the day. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were the only ones in the waiting room. The staff member working at the front desk was not very friendly and seemed a little burned out. There is also a $75 credit card hold since they do not immediately check your insurance. I'm sure this is standard, but was a little frustrating since we have already met our out of pocket maximum for the year. We were called back by the medical assistant promptly and she was nice. She took medical information and took his temperature and blood pressure. She didn't tell us his temperature but she did let us know what his bp was. When the provider came in (Physician Assistant) he also appeared to be burned out. He did a brief physical exam and asked a few questions. Said it was likely viral and prescribed a cough syrup, antibiotic and steroid. He mentioned the antibiotic was in case it had developed into something bacterial. We asked what his temperate was and he said it was normal, 97 or 98. That was interesting since it was 100 before we left the house and 99.8 when we returned home. My husband works in the medical field and understands the burnout, but please at least pretend to be nice and that you care. We probably won't be returning to this location. read more

I received a rash from my work boots (Irish Setter) I could barely walk I could barely put cream on the rash because i had no more skins on the rash it was mostly meat. Experiencing vertigo and physically unsteady, I entered Banner Urgent Care at 7:52 a.m. I asked if I could sit in the waiting area and start the paperwork, and was very curtly told "no." Additionally, I was instructed to leave the facility, as they don't open until the doctor arrives at 8 a.m. The staff was very indifferent to my illness and did not demonstrate a level of care I'd expect from health professionals. This indicated to me that this was not the health facility to take any illness to. P.S. I contacted Banner Health, as requested in their response below. I heard nothing. Brought my daughter in for what I suspected was strep throat. Got here at 8:30am on a Wednesday and was seen within 15 minutes. Clinic was very clean. I'm mainly writing this review to praise the excellent care we received from Shannon, she was so kind and patient with my 7 yr old who had a lot of anxiety about getting her throat swabbed to test for the strep. She made the experience so much less scary for her - hopefully we won't be back anytime soon but if ever needed we will choose this urgent care for sure. read more

I tried everything and the only thing that worked was a pain med that a dr previously gave me. The PA said they don't prescribe pain meds anymore and that she didn't think I needed them... Hmmm I guess she knows the pain im in. No one at the front desk told me they don't prescribe pain medication. My friend's voice had become hoarse and he was having trouble breathing. I have always appreciated the level of care I've received from Banner and recommended we go here. I liked that an appointment could be booked online and they had immediate time slots available. Things were off to a good start. An older nurse, Laurie called him to the back and I noticed he was getting the side eye by her. She treated him like garbage because he smokes cigarettes. While not a good thing for one's health, you'd think he was a serial puppy killer the way she treated him. She was visibly annoyed by having to interact with him and was inpatient with not being able to understand what he was saying. At one point she came into the room to grab the blood pressure machine and as she left the room I witnessed her glare at him behind his back. I didn't mention it to him until we left, but he wasn't blind to her contempt for him and commented how rude she was. I couldn't help but wonder what she said to the doctor before she came in, but the doctor also had a chip on her shoulder towards him. My friend has been dealing with a thyroid condition recently and lately it's been so swollen that it's made it difficult for him to breath. It's visible. In the end, he was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. Here we are a week later, having finished up a round of a steroid based medication and we're still at square one. What prompted me to write this review is because I've been bothered by how horribly he was treated; additionally, he's at a NextCare urgent care center right now and the physician attending to him is having X-rays done to see how his airways look, etc., actually putting in some effort before diagnosing. Seriously why have appointments if you are just going to wait in line?!?!?!? We had been there previously with my wife for what turned out to be a broken bone in her foot. The waiting room is immaculate and staff was very friendly. I got right in and NP Debra explained the radiology was a bit behind so I knew there would be a wait. This is so helpful to set expectations as I knew it would be 30 minutes. After X-rays she showed me the fracture and gave excellent post care instructions. I was in and out in an hour 20 mins.
