I called and was able to reserve a time for that afternoon, which kept me from having to wait at urgent care. My interaction with the front desk gal was professional and kind. Same for my interaction with the PA who saw me- she asked plenty of questions, gave a thorough exam, and listened to my concerns. I never felt rushed. read more

Very clean and nice clinic... front receptionist was not very kind or welcoming, and definitely seemed very impatient and not interested in helping me explore options or payment methods etc. HOWEVER.. the nurse who took my blood pressure, tech who took my X Ray, and doctor who evaluated me were all more than gracious, friendly, and helpful. They each made me feel seen and respected while doing their jobs appropriately, effectively, and efficiently. The doctor was one of the best I have ever ran into at any emergency or urgent care clinic! I can't remember his name or the nurses but he was a middle aged Caucasian male. I took my son here a couple months ago during the election we saw Dr Susan Eller. she told my 4 and 6 year old kids that we needed to have a celebration for trump ( very inappropriate to even tell a child that ) then I went this week on Monday and she scolded my 4 year old to turn his tablet down and he then proceeded to cry. she is very inappropriate and has very disgusting behavior for a "doctor". I went there for asthma and had a sickness and was coughing up phlegm. They did not test me for anything and prescribed me an antibiotic and steroid and after taking them I am not better at all. They charged me 300$ and no testing. Do not go here. read more

Good experience with minimal wait time due urgent care. We were on vacation and my toddler came down with a big and I wanted her checked out. Found this clinic on my insurance website. The Np was very friendly. The staff was nice too. It seemed pretty clean. Would go again, but hopefully not on vacation if there's a next time. I scheduled an appointment to be seen at NextCare but waited over an hour. Admittedly, I'm disappointed. I have had terrible medical care in Arizona and a NextCare in east Mesa was a place I could go to get decent care. It took me a while to find it. I recently moved, and drove 20 minutes to a location near my house for care, but there was a 2-hour wait. The lady told me to schedule an appointment since I could not wait that long. So I did that, and scheduled my appointment at this location near my work. However, after waiting for over an hour, I was told that appointments do not make a difference. The staff was courteous, but there is an issue with proper communication of appointments that need to be clarified online. I hope that is fixed. read more

No point in making an appointment, they'll still just see you whenever they get to you. I hate to give this review because it's really only for the one woman pa that I have had the misfortune of seeing twice now, she really should go back to medical school) but another terrible visit with her yesterday evening and I had to be retreated by a different doctor to resolve my ear issue. She even prescribed the wrong antibiotic for my ear infection, the dosage was way to low and would not have cleared the infection and said she wasn't qualified to drain it. And she was also running almost an hour behind on her appointments. Like I said it's a shame to leave this review because I've seen a few really good physician assistants at this location. read more

Meh. It's here and takes appointments. They say they open at 7. That means they show up at 7. So they don't take their first appointment until well after 7. They can do tests and have a PA and see patients at their leisure. Just don't think that you will be seen at your appointment time. read more

getting an appointment was no problem. Wait time was no problem. Staff was great to work with. The problem was that my condition was misdiagnosed and I was referred immediately to the hospital ER for some very expensive testing. The ER doctor found absolutely nothing wrong with me, and gave me a clean bill of health. Yeah, I understand that a PA has to cover herself and maybe always diagnose the worst case scenario, but this was absolutely helpful to no one. Healthy me ended up clogging up an ER bed for around 4 hours. Who knows how many other people could have had actual real emergencies that had delayed treatment while I loitered in the bed, taking up space. Lets not even get to how much that is going to cost me. I think in the future, I will very carefully consider returning here. read more

The name Doctors Express fits this location perfect. It is a quick in and out service with health-care professionals who are ready to assist your needs. I have had the pleasure of using there services many times. The fact that they don't require an appointment and will service people who do not have insurance is an added benefit of wanting to drop in. They service the public from 8am until 8pm Monday-Sunday. To save time I registered on-line to get an actual appointment time or put me ahead if the waiting room is jammed packed with people. Luckily the times I have gone I have not had to wait long. Besides visiting for Urgent Care news I have stopped in for Employer Services. I recently needed some testing done to become a certified teacher and was able to have them help me with the proper testing. They also offer travel medicine and prescriptions. The facility is very clean and the front desk staff are nice. Each time I came to visit I have to say I left happy. My most recent visit I received a call a few days later asking me if I was ok. I have to say thought that was a nice personal touch. read more

I would give NextCare on Camelback Road half a star. My husband had a nosebleed so we went there November 15 at 5:40 pm. When we arrived the receptionist was on her phone outside. We waited about 8 minutes before we were even spoken too There was no one at the desk. Then we registered but she never asked us why we were there. Another patient came in who was having a nosebleed more severe than my husband's. He had to wait until two appointments were seen who had no emergency issues like his!! Meanwhile this patient was becoming paler and lethargic. All of a sudden he vomitted copious amounts of blood from his mouth and nose..all over the carpet. This could have been prevented if they took this patient immediately to be treated. The staff never cleaned up this area for about 20 minutes. We had to see this in the waiting room. Meanwhile the patient was treated. After twenty minutes we were told we all had to leave while they cleaned up since they were using chemicals. And that it would be a 30-45 minute wait until they cleaned. They could have given us masks and still could have seen us. Poorly managed. Front staff acted as if they didn't care and never triaged urgent needs. Would never return to this place again read more

Never thought I'd be writing a positive review for urgent care but this NextCare location deserves it! Unfortunately I've had to visit twice in the last month and I could not have had a better experience. The front desk associates were kind and positive. The PAs that I saw were friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. And the best part is that you can make an appointment online and they actually will see you around that time - which is rare for so many urgent care centers. I even got a friendly check-in call two days after my visit. The one downside is that parking is awful in this complex, especially after normal work hours. It would Ike be nice to have a few designated spots specifically for the urgent care. read more

All the staff from front desk, NP and MA we're very nice. MA was very kind hearted along with the NP. She made sure i was comfortable and talked to me calmly. She assured i will be okay and they were quite funny which is nice under these type of scary circumstances. Would definitely recommend. I was in and out quick as well. This NextCare is excellent. From the front desk staff to the attendants, to the medical staff. They are professional and thorough. I prefer them to the PCP and ease of getting seen quickly. Monday morning wake up to go get a cup of joe and enjoy the sunrise.. Swallowing is hard... Sick as a dog.. Think I can power through it! Go to breakfast.. 40 mins later.. cant take it.. Debate is on doctors office? Urgent care? ER? I picked urgent care.. Yelped to find on close and this is down the road from me after.. Walk in with a warm smile. Got my information and right away I go back and go into my basic info family history, basic stuff. We then go to my room.. And as the nurse walks out someone else come in to help me its the doctor! Wow fast! Get done he comes in gets my CVS info and then says okay your good to go we sent the scripts to the pharmacy you'll be good to go. So happy! read more

Pathetic. In brief, it was two weeks ago today that I saw them and *still* I don't know the results of the lab testing they performed. I also had a problem with the prescription they promised to "send over" - as in Safeway Pharmacy asserted they had *no* record of the prescription when I went to pick it up. Could it have been Safeway's error, not NextCare's? Sure...but the lengthy string of NextCare's failures that followed make me think it was likely on them. And also they seemingly manufactured a problem with my insurance (that my insurance insists was them). 1) Saw them Monday, 1/9/23. Had to call my health insurance customer service line because my insurance that I've had for 9 years and runs on Blue Cross / Blue Shield AZ (obscure, right?) suddenly came back "inactive" according to these guys. BCBS assured them this wasn't the case; still they couldn't figure out how to successfully run it. Funny, neither me nor my family have had any trouble before, or since. 2) Went to pick up RX; no record of it. 3) Waited on hold forever to talk to someone who was obviously out of state who's solution was to send the local office a message to "retransmit" the RX. I said no way - why would electronically transmitting the RX work this time if it didn't work last time? Unless they failed to do it last time? I insisted she call the local office and tell them to *call* the RX in, person to person. Well, that worked. Started my RX on Wed or Thu, not Monday like it should have been. So much for "urgent". 4) About Thursday I also began wondering when I'd hear about my lab work. Called, wasted excessive amounts of time on hold, reached out of state call center, again. "We'll try to reach the local office for you"...but they didn't. "They'll call you back.". But they didn't. 5) Five more days pass and I get a "follow up" call from the out of state call center people. They "reassure" me that my labs came back, and she "has them right there in front of her". Great! Um, no, not great. She goes on to tell me that a provider has to release the results to me, and no one is available. Don't worry, though, they will be calling me...soon. So *they* have the labs, but me - and my PCP - don't? Not helpful. 6) That was almost a week ago. No call, no lab results. The RX is gone, now...it was only a weeks course and should have been done a week ago, but due to the delay in obtaining it has only been done a few days. Should I continue with another prescription? They advised me during my visit to follow up with my PCP...that would be their call. But what will they base their decision on? I have no labs to indicate if the RX was appropriate, unnecessary or the wrong pharmacological agent? Urgent care is the easiest form of healthcare to deliver. You have no ongoing responsibility to your patients like a PCP; you reserve the right to turf anything complicated or high liability to the ER, and anything at all specialized you also refer out. As an UC, you're left with the easy pizy cherry picked cases of utmost simplicity to manage. Sadly, my experience would suggest that even that is too much for this organization to handle. Don't get COVID tested here. It may be an excellent clinic otherwise, but this is not the place to get tested. They do not tell you upfront that you will also be billed for an office visit. That is unethical. I was stuck sitting in the exam room for 20 minutes waiting to get seen by the PA that I was not interested in seeing. I came to get tested for COVID not to get exposed to COVID. Very stressful and unpleasant experience. P.S. It's been 13 days and still have not been emailed the results of my son's COVID test. Horrible. Do not get tested here. read more

FNP-Susan was wonderful. I didn't wait long and she was able to diagnose me right away. I would recommend this urgent care to anybody. It's right around the corner from our house which makes it really convenient. The turnaround time was 46 minutes and I was walking out the door with a prescription that I can get filled at the CVS next door. The facility is very clean and the staff is helpful. read more

My husband and I had a good experience as walk-ins to the clinic for COVID testing. Not a long wait and the healthcare providers were nice and professional. However, the follow-up was terrible. The day after the test, while he was sleeping, my husband got a message to call them back. I got a call, but no message. We tried for the next two days to reach someone at the clinic. Finally, three days after our tests, the national call center connected us with someone at the clinic who gave us our results. The day before, the county health department had already called and notified my husband that he was positive. So, for normal urgent care, this place is likely a good choice. But for COVID testing, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I feel like people only review these types of places if they have bad experiences, so I wanted to share mine incase you were hesitant to go after reading some of these negative reviews. I just came in at 7:30 a little after they opened and was 2nd in line and only had to wait maybe 15 minutes. I think I have an ear infection, have been in tons of pain and the doctor who helped me was so sweet and did a great job. Today I took my daughter there for a strep test. She has all the symptoms. They turned her away because she told them she took a Covid test yesterday and it was negative. They said it could be a false negative and she should quarantine for 10 days. That's the worst medical advice I've ever heard. They told a patient that could possibly have strep, a bacterial infection that effects the heart and kidneys and requires antibiotics, to quarantine for 10 days even though she tested negative. Stay safe everyone, be diligent about your health because it's very difficult to get medical attention at this time. And avoid this place. I took my daughter to another clinic and she has strep. I went to this urgent care on Saturday with chills, congestion, trouble breathing, coughing, and a fever and the gave me a Covid and flu test that came back negative. Instead of actually figuring out what was wrong I was told to go home and rest.. I went to my primary care doctor today and was diagnosed with bronchitis and given a treatment plan. Could not have been more unimpressed with the staff or the level of professionalism that went on during my visit to Phoenix Urgent Care. Terrible experience... I came on a Saturday morning because I needed to be seen for an infection and get some sort of antibiotic and be on my way. When I got there I was given all the paperwork to fill out and waited behind the one other person who was waiting before me. They must have had one doctor to see patients because I waited and waited and waited. Finally I was called back by the nurse to take my vitals. I have recovered from an eating disorder and do not weigh myself...ever. I told the nurse this and she immediately got very hostile and rude and told me I HAD to step on the scale. I refused two more times and she finally gave it up. She then proceeded to take my blood pressure which took her 15 minutes because she could not get the machine to work and she didn't know or want to do it manually. Finally she got the info she needed and took me to another room where the doctor was supposed to be in shortly. Well, the "doctor" did not show up, but the nurse practitioner did. She was very rough, asked me a few questions and told me she would give me some meds; she did not even give me a decent examination, blood work, tests, or try to figure out what sort of infection I might have. When I told her I was allergic to medications she suggested a different antibiotic but was completely ignorant as to what the effects it had on the body. She spent all of 4 minutes with me and was pretty rude. After waiting some more a different nurse came in to give me my prescription and send me on my way. I was so turned off by the entire experience, I recommend going to the urgent care by Safeway. read more

i was traveling and had to come in for a visit, and just had to leave a review after my visit. i can't remember her last name, but i met with Lana and she was hands down the best doctor i could've asked for. she took time to talk with me about what was going on, was SO kind and just overall an amazing doctor. it's been a really long time (if ever) i actually felt genuinely cared for by a doctor. she pulled out my phone with me and helped me take notes for what i needed to remember. my visit was also just so fast and productive. Great staff! Very personable & professional! Dr made me less stressed (before the drugs haha) about my spiral fracture of the ankle/ fibula. She even asked "wasn't I in pain?" because I declined a particular pain medicine. I couldn't exactly get to the restroom really fast since that pain med would make me nauseated. If you know what I mean; as I can be klutzy without meds already apparently hahaha!!!! Love the fact that their website listed prices without any surprises plus they kept me in the loop about any additional charges before performing the X-rays & such. Most recent visit: different Dr was just as great & made me feel at ease. She was beyond helpful in saving me some money on prescription meds & was funny as well. All the staff have been very professional with great personalities! Very short wait time as well. Hopefully won't need to go back anytime soon but if I do will not hesitate to go here!! Found this place on ZocDoc.com cause I was needing to make a last minute appointment. I was on vacation for the Spring Break Yelp Party, but I ended up coming down with a cold. We left on Sunday and I decided, with the way I was feeling, to get on my phone and try to find an open appointment for Monday. And I found one near by. I didn't know this was an urgent care, but either way I was treated quickly, kindly and respected. The front staff was cheerful and kind. The Dr I saw was very nice and treated me like a human being. This Urgent Care office was covered by my insurance, and with lab facilities and an X-ray at the office, I thought it would be a good choice in case I needed labs drawn or an X-ray done. As it turns out, it was a great experience (for being a doctor office visit)... the staff was friendly and went out of their way to take care of me. And Dr. Williams took plenty of time for the exam and to explain everything, also going out of her way to be sure I had everything I needed to make my recovery more comfortable. With a great staff and the facilities to really take care of their patients, I highly recommend this office for your urgent care needs. read more

For Urgent Care, this clinic was very friendly, clean and professional. I came in here for a cut on my finger. The nurse asked me when I last had a tetanus shot and I couldn't remember. I freaking hate needles but finally agreed to get a tetanus shot since it's been 10 years +... The staff was super nice. The friendly nurse remained professional while I sweated bullets over the shot. The doctor was gentle with cleaning my super awesome cut on my finger. No complaints. read more

Back story: I was misdiagnosed by a state healthcare clinic (the one on 7th Ave downtown... avoid at all costs... I only went because it was the only urgent care open so late). This first place ignored my suggestion of "I'm pretty sure I have pneumonia, this pain in my chest on breathing matches that" and doped me up on a bunch of conflicting pain killers and muscle relaxers that resulted in an overdose from just 2 of them (luckily I came out of it without hospitalization, thank God I didn't take all 3) I went to Doctors Express the next day based on the Yelp reviews. I was seen promptly. The doctor, an older lady, LISTENED to my symptoms, actually took a stethoscope to me (the other place hadn't). and said 'Yep, you have a pneumonia in your right lung." She was absolutely appalled by the amount and kinds of medication Place #1 had given me - one, an antibiotic for an accidentally discovered urinary tract infection, was in a high enough dose to damage my kidneys, and 2 of the painkillers were known to cause seizures when mixed. She took me off those, lowered the antibiotic dose, and gave me a Z-pack. She was efficient, nice, a no-BS type, and I had no more pain in my chest after 3 days of her meds. AND they have discount cards for your prescriptions. I wish I had just gone here first and avoided a week of scary-ness/people who really should not have medical degrees. Bonus: The waiting room is pleasant! It's carpet, not tile, which makes a big difference in not thinking you're at the doctors, and smells nice. It's the little things :) read more
