The bill comes in a hollowed out coconut with some jelly beans!
Stevie W.

I've never had Carribbean food before but I will again after that! I had the goat and coconut roti and my boyfriend had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. We ordered a side of plantain. The food was absolutely incredible - we couldn't stop taking bites of each other's food because they were both so good! There was so much of it that we had it boxed up to take home for tomorrow's lunch. The restaurant is narrow and busy, so clearly popular, which is why people seem to say that it's noisy, but if it is, it's definitely in a good way. It's just a great place to eat! There is a relaxed vibe and we really enjoyed it.

Jamaican breakfast

We were here for lunch, but took the opportunity to have a second breakfast. We were made to feel really at home by the staff, assisted by the fact that it is a really cosy place. The service was great; I ordered a milkshake to get going, chocolate and banana, really fantastic and gone in a minute flat unfortunately. Followed by some really good coffee and a Jamaican breakfast with ackee, bacon, boiled eggs, spicy beans, hash browns and warm traditional roti. It was made really well and worth it just for finding out what ackee is and to have a roti for breakfast... The hash browns were unusual and delicious too.

Brilliant breakfasts and they always try and accomadate if you drop by without booking. So try and book! Great iin the evenings for drinks, delicious food. Buzzy sunny window seats or cosy nooks. It's BUSY, if you're looking for somewhere quiet don't go. And beware of the buggies, it can get a bit buggie hectic, no offense parents. They are great with kids - offering them crayons and the like.

Great bar in Crouch End, always busy but very homely. Huge menu (maybe too many things), not very complicated. I always go back for lunch!

The Jamaican and Quesadilla breakfasts. And lashings of tea and coffee.

Not sure if I should mention this place on Yelp. I mean, some things you should just keep to…read moreyourself, right? Especially if it's this good! The kitchen is located to the rear of the restaurant. All orders are placed and served here (there is no waitress service) - It's a little back to front really as eat-in diners always have the take-away traffic passing through the dining area. The staff seem to be quite serious with taking orders and serving (not very smiley), but polite all the same. Take away or eat in, the servings are GENEROUS and the flavours consistent and spot on. Our plates were piled high (another customer remarked that I would be 2lbs heavier tomorrow!) The flavours caught me off guard - I expected the usual run of the mill ill-cooked food pushed out by many Caribbean restaurant establishments...and I've eaten at many. Plaintains - Ripeness just right and cooked lightly. Oxtail - I didn't sample it, but it was tender to cut and smelt goood. Snappers (fish) - This came with an optional fish sauce. The sauce, onions and peppers complimented the fish and it was not dry. Rice and Peas - The rice was moist and flavoursome. Macaroni cheese - Yes please, more macaroni cheese! Coleslaw - This was slightly fruity (I think I could taste apple). Oh, it was tasty! There's also a good selection of D&G drinks (a popular Jamaican soda company - the drinks are quite sweet) among others. There was a bar, but it wasn't open when I visited in the early evening. Three meals, 2 sides and 4 drinks = £26. Not bad at all! I take my hat off to this place! At last, a restaurant that takes pride in authentic and consistent Caribbean food.

Service in Enfield Brown Eagle is AWFUL One lady in…read moreparticular extremely rude. They have TWO staff on duty both serving seated customers :: NO ONE dealing with the ever growing queue of people. The staff are dismissive of their customer needs and VERY slow. Portions are small -- loads of rice little meat. The food is good for Caribbean food ... not overpriced .. Massive shame about the female staff
