The bathrooms were clean with one exception -- the full body mirror needed attention, which was a little disappointing for an otherwise polished space. Small detail but worth noting. Elevators worked without issue, which sounds like a low bar but matters more than people think for an event venue. Not sure how much of the equipment and staffing fell under the venue versus the event organizers, but the overall experience was enjoyable either way. It's a solid, attractive space for a nice gathering. Honestly I'd love to host something here myself. The orchid conservatory is warm, vibrant, and thriving year-round! I was impressed with the size of their tropical plants - very impressive. It was a nice respite on a chilly December day. We were hoping to grab food at the cafe, but options were limited. Perhaps there are more food options during busier times. The venue alone was perfect as there were multiple locations to choose from and we had a designated space for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The ability to use the space the day before was so helpful and Donnie and Nicole provided so many resources in-house that you wouldn't even think of (ice, toiletries, extra tables etc.). The look of the barn makes it so easy to decorate as the space alone is a neutral color and the landscape is beautiful! This property is managed and kept so well. Parking was not an issue as we were there early enough to park right outside the building. There's also a parking garage that's right beside it. I don't know the parking cost. Unfortunately, no one ever opened the doors for the event. A bunch of us had to call customer service to find out the event was cancelled without notifying us. I can't comment on the inside of the building other than what I saw from the doors. The grounds weren't kept well and it was off putting to see trash, people's dirty socks and a homeless persons sleeping arrangement right at the entrance door. I understand people are just doing the best they can but when people are paying for these tickets the area should be clean. Our group decided we won't return to this venue and will look for the show in another area.

Service was excellent, as they kept the food bar stocked throughout the evening. We had a cash bar in the back that was popular amongst the guests. The venue is appropriate for weddings and other parties. We stayed indoors because it was a cold night. It is conveniently located in Huntersville, next to the emergency animal hospital. The only question left to ask is, what is the cost?
