Businesses slated to open include Costco, Sports & Social, and PBR Cowboy Bar. There will also be office space and luxury hotels. Pompano Beach has lacked a downtown and a centralized, mixed use centers like other towns have. The Pomp will create jobs and a place where people can come together for food, entertainment, work, and to live. So far it is off to a great start.

I've seen some restaurants come and some go, but it's still mostly the same as it was when I lived in the area. Major anchors include Just For Sports and LA Fitness and Office Depot and Regal Cinemas, but the center also includes the Starlite Diner, Longhorn Steakhouse, Five Guys and Sweet Tomatoes. I do have some major issues with the shopping center and it's that there are not nearly enough methods to get in or out. If you need to be going north on Andrews, you are taking your life in your hands to get out and across the traffic. There is only one entrance onto Cypress Creek Blvd. And you'll be making a lot of left/right/left/right turns to get anywhere in the plaza. Not my favorite spot at all. The restaurants have come and gone, but there are a few we like and patronize -- the fish and shrimp one and the middle eastern one to cite a couple. And the Burlington and TJ Maxx stores that were recently added are also a draw. It is our town mall, so we are happy it's now on the up side. Broward County has set up the parking lot to be a drive thru vaccination site. County and city officials along with volunteers are working along with the mall security department to keep this site secure and organized. I received both of my vaccinations here and I was pleasantly surprised at just how smooth the process was. Everyone worked together to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Security did an excellent job getting us in the correct lanes and making the lot easy to navigate. After the fifteen minute waiting period, they were there to guide us out in a safe manner. This location is conveniently located in the old Macy's parking lot. Located on the SW corner of Federal Highway and Copans Road.

Most recently I was here to visit a brand new Korean market, KOA Mart. Other businesses in the plaza include Pasquale's Pizza Company, Belfort Fitness Lifestyle, C.Colella Dentistry, Miracle Leaf, Passport Preschool, Aero Juice, and Calvary Chapel. In the outparcel there is a Regions Bank. What really sets this plaza apart is the lush landscaping and decorative plants. There are a lot of flowering trees which add beauty to the property. The plaza is well maintained and very clean. They did a great job integrating into Coconut Creeks theme of Butterfly Capital with lots of butterfly friendly greenery.

The walk also has my favorite Trader Joe's, a Barnes and Noble, and Wild Fork Foods. Other businesses in The Walk include a dentist, banking, nail salon, insurance, waxing, and eye care. During the year The Walk holds events and concerts. Every March is the two-day Coral Springs Festival of the Arts. When something is going on parking can be a bit of a pain but normally it is ok. As far as strip malls go, this is my favorite one in Broward County.
