First time in a Bealls store - and this one in Fort Lauderdale is an outlet location. Actually, I was very impressed with the variety of inventory which includes clothing, toys, purses, home goods and large furniture. Here's another place that should be showing a yelp review from me. I have about 7 check-ins here as we used to stop by a lot. Right now there is construction going on in the shopping center and it's not the easiest place to get into... Years ago, they liked their offerings much better. They used to have real leather handbags at very low prices, makeup and jewelry that was perfect for gifts. I've even bought a bathing suit at another Bealls Outlet when on the road and needed one in a pinch. And I've bought some sandals here, and even some knickknacks. Now, you need to search a bit more to find something that is acceptable. Mixed in with the cheaper clothing, there's an occasional designer brand. Lately, I haven't found anything to wear here, but my husband usually has luck with their sale racks for things like t-shirts and shorts. We didn't buy anything this time, but it's still fun to browse -- especially through their clearance sections. read more

The store always has the cutest golf skirts and tops and a wide variety. They also have great home kitchen gadgets, and utensils as well as good things for your home. I highly recommend this store. There's other bealls that aren't so nice and don't have the inventory this one in pompano does. read more

This was my first ever visit to a Bealls Outlet store. They are an American retail corporation of over 500 stores founded in 1915 in Bradenton, Florida. As you walk in, you get a feel of a Marshall's or TJ Maxx, it has that same layout and similar departments: Men's, Ladies, Shoes, Kids, Home, etc. I found the store a little bit sparse. As I was walking around, I saw many empty shelves and low inventory in certain areas. They do have some items that are fun and unique like wooden wind chimes, wooden birds, etc. Overall an easy discount store to stop in in you are in the Pompano Marketplace shopping center. read more

Bealls was founded in 1915 in Bradenton Florida. They now have 500 department stores among three chains, Bealls Stores, Bealls Outlet Stores, and Bunulu. All of the stores are still owned by the founding family in headquartered in Bradenton. The first Beall's Outlet store opened in 1987. Beall's inventory reflects Florida's tropical lifestyle. I am about to start work again and needed a wardrobe refresher. Looking to save money I decided to check out this Beall's Outlet. I love their stylish purses, high quality beach towels, cute housewares, and tropical clothes. I am not a fan of digging through racks but the savings you get makes it worth it. In any case this store was clean and organized. Everything is very inexpensive. Calvin Klein dresses are only $25. I like the Caribbean Joe brand which has tropical prints. There are a lot of Lily Pulitzer knock offs. Palm trees, flamingos, beaches, and sea life are popular print themes. I was able to pick up several tops all $10 and under. They even have clearance sections which is an additional discount on top of the already low outlet prices. I would shop at the regular Beall's stores but I seem to have more of the outlets near me. You can't try on the clothes right now due to the virus which is a bit of a pain. I ended up returning a few things that weren't right to another store and had a problem with getting the receipt scanned, According to them this a running problem with the Pompano Beach store. This store is huge with racks upon racks of clothing inventory, shoes and even decorator items. It's a budget outlet sort of place so there isn't pizzazz about it. The reason to shop here is value for your dollar and though none of the items are top line there are a lot of medium line items such as Nautica clothing and others to be found. Check pricing carefully as sometimes it's a little strange. For example I found a blue polo style Nautica men's shirt for $39.95 with the notation to "compare" at $49.95 but the exact same shirt in green for $29.95 with exactly the same comparison price. I can't think of reason to charge $10 more for the same shirt in blue, or thinking conversely, $10 less for it in green. I've been in this place several times and they always seem to have items up at "marked down" prices or mere indicating a percent, usually up to 50% off. They also have many low end items of inventory, especially in kid's clothing, which are of rather inferior quality, somewhat dated in pattern or design and also containing indications of rather poor workmanship. As an outlet budget store for bargain hunters, it's not bad overall. The best thing about it is that I've never seen it crowded. read more

It's a hit or miss here to be honest. Every time I'm down south in the Keys, the Beall's Outlet always seems promising to me so when I came up to Pompano for a meeting, I couldn't help but make a stop here to see if it was as good as the other location I know. I will say their inventory needs some sprucing. I ended up finding a pretty decent cotton shirt that was my style. The prices are extremely low here so picking through the aisles can come out worthwhile. The day I visited I couldn't find much I liked on the racks besides the shirt so I bought only that item. I'm sure they gave their good moments but they could use a bit of organization to better lay out their options. Plenty of children's clothes here with super low prices that make it easy to shop for your casual gear. read more

This store is in a little shopping center with Bed Bath and Beyond, YouFit, and A.C. Moore among other places. When you walk in the store is quite large but the merchandise is spread out and appears kind of sparse. That or everything is really picked over. This is definitely a discount store compared to the regular Beall's a couple miles away. The store is broken down into sections, which makes shopping easier however you do have to sort through the merchandise to find deals. It's like shopping at a TJMaxx or Marshalls or Ross. You have to have a lot of patience to find cute items and shop often since merchandise changes frequently. If bargain shopping is your thing, then I would check this place out. While I love a good deal I'm not a big fan of having to hunt through tons of racks of clothes where I usually can't find my size in the item I like. read more

Bealls is actually a Florida based store with over 420 operating nationwide. I can't speak for other locations, but because of the community and rather upscale (i.e., clean) stores it has for neighbors in this particular shopping mall, shopping here is not only easy, there is a wide variety of home goods at pretty decent prices. That being said, I went to this store right after Church and it did have the faint ennui of a pretty good garage sale that had already been picked over. There really wasn't all that much product and what was visible, while a step or two higher than Dollar store stock, was more or less a lot of unnecessary junk. I did see one or two knick knacks that might be nice to add to my collection, but I lament that I'm sure the next time I go there, they won't be there, unfortunately at the time I was not able to make any purchases because first of the month = rent. I imagine if you could go there at least 2x a week and arrive at different hours you could take advantage of their specials and find something in their inventory that pleases and is worth the effort to find and purchase, otherwise with other stores closer in my neighborhood (Coral Ridge Mall), I'd much rather peruse the Marshall's or if back up at that collection of stores, happily settle to rummage through Stein Mart. This place reminds me of a TJMaxx....stuff everywhere and hardly any fitting rooms. However, the prices are good. The staff is ok but soooooooo SLOW. Maybe it's being down south....but would it kill them to have a register for returns only? Other than that....it's worth going for the prices. read more

Well... where to start? Store seems run down... I know I know it's "Pompano", in order to use the restroom you have to ask for a key from the front registers and it's Erie similar to the type of crap you deal with to use a gas station toilet. Once inside toilet room it's just as nasty as a gas station bathroom and ironically unstocked with toilet tissue as you can expect from a shell station. Store has very poor customer service. They do not care at all about customer satisfaction. Similar stores such as Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross are far superior. It also usually takes forever to get assistance in the store including the check out registers. read more
