Blessed and lucky to be adding this temple of Goddess Mahalakshmi to Yelp and to write its first…read morereview. Visited this temple for the first time while visiting our relatives in Pennsylvania. The temple is famous for featuring the tallest statue/idol of one of our famous Gods, Lord Hanuman (our beloved monkey faced God) known for his incredible might and devotion to Lord Rama. He stands 25 feet tall outside the main temple and will soon be accompanied by the Dhyana Hanuman (meditating Hanuman) that will be installed in the temple that will be built in the vicinity. Inside the temple you fill find the main deity of Goddess Mahalakshmi (known for wealth, fortune, power, beauty, fertility and prosperity) in the center of all. While there are other regular Gods you will find inside a temple, we were amazed by the presence of the 27 different idols representing the 27 stars (Mula, Aslesha, Punarvasu etc.) which we have never seen. The temple has a canteen attached to it with nominal pricing and is currently taking donations for the temple expansion. The parking is spacious and the temple is surrounded by greenery and has a calming surrounding. I look forward to coming here more frequently.

I came upon this Indian Hindu temple because someone brought me here who appreciated Indian…read morereligion. Although I am not of this religion, I appreciate the times when it is quiet here and come here to just meditate and pray things that I wish for. I often do not visit during their worship activities yet but probably because I never got the chance to come when there's an event. You can check their history online. I remember before I know about Yelp I had to search for them for the address because I do not know where it was located. I usually came across this temple when I was going through my beautiful drives in Mount Airy & Germantown on the north west edge of Philadelphia. It is such a beautiful area here that after you go to the temple, you can always Mount Airy and Germantown. The Radha Krishna temple is a further downtime street from the intersection with Germantown avenue. There is the beautiful Wissahickon Park of Philadelphia nearby where you can also go for trailing in the woods after you park your car. This is very woody and greens area with occasional streams. There are little shops nearby along Germantown avenue that can be fun and artsy to explore. If you go south towards Philadelphia it will get a bit rough in that it looks urban and if you go more north on Germantown it will get kind of prettier. Enjoy!

Toto, I've a feeling we're not in New Jersey anymore. We must be over in India. Nothing will…read moreprepare you for the wonder of this majestic place. Having visited some of the most famous temples around the world, this is by far one of the most impressive. It took 12.5K volunteers and close to 100 million dollars to build. Every inch tells a story and you can't help but admire the intricate details. To still have this type of craftsmanship in this day and age is astounding. The artisans painstakingly hand-carved each limestone piece in India before it was shipped to Robbinsville, New Jersey to be put together like a jigsaw puzzle. Whether you are religious or not, this is a must visit. My review will not do this place justice. You just have to come and see for yourself. 1. Admission is free but you have to reserve a time online for weekends and holidays. Parking is free as well. 2. No picture or video taking allowed inside. Please respect this. 3. Do not miss any of the short films shown throughout the small theaters. 4. Check the website for the strict dress code. Sarongs are offered if needed. 5. No shoes allowed inside. The marble floors were spotless. 6. Visit the gift shop before you exit because there will be no reentry. 7. Donation boxes throughout. Please be generous. More exciting things are still being constructed like a museum on the upper levels to be completed by the end of 2026. Nightime offers a much different vibe with the lights. I plan to visit again with my son when he comes back this summer.

Respectfully I chose my own cultural clothing to show respect while I am there . And everyone loved & appreciated that where ever I was going . All the volunteers are absolutely amazing besides one. I almost cried & thought of leaving immediately. But some older gentleman reminded me not to ruin my peace & happy journey here for just one person. She was so racist, mean, have no idea how to treat people. I was probably one of the first hijaby she met on a Hindu temple and her heart couldn't take it ! I grow up with a father who was very close to culture, different religions never bothered him while making friends. Most of his friends are Hindu actually & we grow up like one family. So going to a temple & showing respect isn't new to me. I was gonna make a written complaint but I have decided to let it go & be a better person! If you are residing in New Jersey then you should not miss this temple. One of my all time favorite 'Awe' moments! There is a section where you are not allowed to take any pictures, that's the area I feel like not leaving ! A must see . If you wanna do a photoshoot try to make an appointment in advance, so they don't give you any problems. I don't think you have to pay anything for that , I am not sure though. But most of the areas you can definitely take pictures as much as you want with your phone . They have a big cafeteria, and the food is good . They also have a gift shop and as a South Asian I was shocked how cheap the items are considering outside in any other places. I ended up buying a lot of stuff , very good idea to get stuff for gifts . I am dreaming to come back again with some comfortable shoes lol !

Good temple but poorly managed. Uncleaned toilets, clogged…read moreflushes, spiders on the ceilings and dirty dishes everywhere in the dining hall. I cannot believe they had broomsticks and toilet cleaning brushes next to people eating Prasadam. This is run in a very old style management by an autocratic President called Sarma. He should be replaced with someone who understands how to run a sacred place. If given suggestions, he just brushes them aside with insidious remarks with an air of superiority and sarcasm. He belongs elsewhere not at a place of worship. Devotees just get carried away by the look of the statues and the divinity within them and ignore other pitfalls. If you are a devotee visiting this temple, please be objective and post your comments and feedback. It is your duty to keep this temple and its administration clean.
